Veera is a necromancer, so raising the dead is right up her alley. This also ans they wouldn't have to search aimlessly for the person they're looking for. As the mist spread, the bodies of the dead Dark Elves started to move.
This prompted her to start muttering so incantations. A few minutes later, 34 Dark Elves that were supposed to be dead stood before her, their expressions dark and twisted.
Veera closed her eyes for a few seconds, reading through their mories. Once she acquired what she wanted, she sent the undead Dark Elves away.
"It seems this planet was taken over by the Dark Elves thousands of years ago. It used to be a world of the Elves, but now, they have been suppressed and reduced to slaves.
However, there is a rebel force, one that has been fighting against the Dark Elves for years now. They have many top warriors among them. However, of all the rebel warriors, one of them stood out. Her na is Dia, a sword maiden who has killed thousands of Dark Elves and saved many Elves.
Three days ago, a close friend of hers betrayed her, leading to an ambush. As you all can see, she fought hard, but in the end, she was captured.
From the mories I have retrieved from the undead Dark Elves, whenever a rebel soldier is captured, the Dark Elves will perform public execution in the most painful way possible as a way of sending a ssage to the rebel force."
Vexthra gritted her teeth, turning to Kaizo... "Take a team and go to wherever they took her and make sure she is rescued. I don't care how many you have to kill, just rescue her."
"As you command, goddess." Since the cultivation requirent for this mission is just Heavenly Ascension, not even Uncle Drew can join in the fun. So it all falls down to Kaizo.
Naturally, knowing this mission is important to Unity, all of them want to go. However, Kaizo, being the warrior at heart, knew this mission was also a training for them, so he only added nine to himself, making a team of ten.
In the end, he picked Sylara, the vampire demoness. She is dangerous, and considering this is destined to be a bloodbath, she is the right fit. She will grow stronger from the blood she absorbs, but she will also have fun.
The second is, of course, Zareth. Kaizo needed soone who could invoke the fear of death in the hearts of these Dark Elves. With his power to command the Void Dragon and the World Serpent, Kaizo knew he would co in handy.
Selene was also added. She would be in charge of rescuing Dia. Since they had received this mission, it ans Dia is still alive. So she and Vari would work together to rescue her.
They are both sisters with Unity, so this mission is personal.
The next person he added to his team is the Shade King Nykali. He wants his wraith army, so he added him to it. He also added Veera and Yi Lai to the team.
Although Yi Lai only has two undead dragons, she is both a fighter and a necromancer, so she is perfect for this battle. Her two undead dragons would co in handy. Veera, however, has many powerful undead.
The last two additions were, of course, Neomi and Camila.
Once the team was ford, they left atop Yi Lai's undead dragon. The speed of the dragon is several tis faster, allowing them to travel faster.
Even so, from what Veera had seen through the mories of the undead Dark Elves, it would take them a couple of hours to reach the city where Dia was taken to.
anwhile, Dia had already been thrown into a dark, small cell after being tortured for three days. Her limbs were tied with a chain reinforced with several complex enchantnts.
Whenever she tries to break free, the chains tighten their hold on her, making it virtually impossible to free herself. In fact, if she were to continue, it would get to the point where her limbs would be tightened until they fall off.
So she just sat there, leaning against the wall as she examined what had happened over the last few days and what she could have done to prevent it.
Three days ago, they had just gone to save seven Elven children from a band of Dark Elf Bandits and were on their way back to the rebel sanctuary when they were ambushed. Luckily, she was able to lock down the enemy for five seconds, allowing the rest of her people to leave.
As for the one who betrayed them, while he regretted it, she had to kill him first and burn his body to ashes to prevent the location of their sanctuary from falling into the wrong hands.
They had made it in such a way that whenever they leave the base, its location would be wiped from everyone's minds except hers.

It had already been three days, but they couldn't get anything from her. They would try again tomorrow, and if she remained stubborn, they would kill her and hang her head at the entrance of the city just like they did with the dozens that ca before her.
Unaware that help is on the way, she sat in wait for her death.
A few minutes later, soone walked into the prison cell and stopped when they were three feet from her.
"Clearly you didn't see this day coming, did you?" The person who spoke is a female; however, her voice is hoarse and eerie.
"I would like you to know your death will happen tomorrow morning instead of the evening. I decided to escalate things since the longer you remain alive, the more disgusting it gets to look at you."
Clearly, this person has so vendetta against Dia, so they are coming down hard on her. However, as soone who had been training her mind since teenagehood, she knew when to be angry and when to remain calm.
"You dare kill my brother in cold blood when he begged for rcy."
"He died because he killed a pregnant mother and children. I would have slit your throat too if it wasn't for the tily intervention from your king and his band of useless soldiers."
Dia said with a chuckle, then she added, "If you are going to kill , then go ahead. I have nothing to lose."
The lady gritted her teeth in frustration.
She remained there for a few minutes before a sigh escaped her lips. "We have already captured one of your n. He refuses to talk, but with the right pain, we will soon get the location of your sanctuary.
Tomorrow morning, you will be cut to pieces using the Venom Fang blade. Enjoy the rest of your night knowing that after you are dead, mothers and children who thought they were safe in your care will follow swiftly."
Dia growled, but she could do nothing. Tears flowed down her face, her heart breaking even more.
However, before she could start to sob—sothing the lady would love to hear and see—a voice thundered in the city, causing everyone to beco alert and look up.
