Now reading: Chapter 1378 Purple Sword Garden from Primordial Chaos Dragon Tower: Harem System, a Action novel by PenDrop.

As Jest and the two elders moved through the sect, many disciples who had recognized him from the just-ended sword bridge challenge looked at him with all kinds of emotions.

There was reverence, respect, envy, jealousy, and the one that would make anyone in Jest's place cringe: affection.

Most of said emotion is coming from the ladies, but in a very cringe way,

considering the kind of thoughts running through their heads while they think this.

Regardless, Jest had beco a hot cake, as shown by how everyone was looking at him, including the elders.

There is a big chance he might succeed in walking his own path. If that were to happen, they all know he would beco a great help.

So while many were initially dissatisfied with him because he was a no-na who was allowed to challenge the sword bridge, seeing what he has

accomplished and what he is likely to accomplish in the future, they all want to leave a good impression.

If only they knew, Jest mainly wanted to open the door for everyone, regardless of whether they liked him.

Of course, there are those who hate him for real, and so no matter what kind of genius he is, they would never show him the respect he deserves.

"I hope you are not taking sowhere to make disappear," Jest asked, flying behind Immortal Lord Ritsu and Willa.

Elder Willa turned and looked at him. "Getting rid of you is as simple as snapping my finger, so rest assured, we have no plans on killing you."

"Happy to hear that," Jest smiled, admiring the space around him. "This place is not half bad. I am sure in a couple of years, when I beco a Sword Emperor or Divine, I will use my influence to attract investors to co make it more beautiful."

The two Immortal Lords ignored him. To them, Jest is now an asset, so allowing him to ss around is a good thing.

"I have a question."

"Ask"

"Can I decide to decline my status as an Inner Disciple and go back to being an Outer Disciple?"

Elder Ritsu turned and gave him the sa look Elder Willa gave him. "Does this have sothing to do with that kid you wanted to challenge to the deathmatch?"

"Maybe, maybe not," Jest smiled.

"You cannot do that. But even if you could, I wouldn't have allowed it. You have so much talent that, if nurtured well, will one day put you on the map of the universe, so allowing a petty misunderstanding to co in the way of that is just stupid.

Also, while the sect can indeed protect you while you are here, as a disciple, you are required to go out for missions, so killing soone whose father is an Immortal Lord with several other powerful cultivators on his retainer is just being stupid."

"Ha," Jest smiled. "So in your opinion, I shouldn't kill him because his father is not soone I can afford to offend,"

"That is exactly what I ant,"

Jest shook his head, a wave of hate emitting from his body. "Elder Ritsu, have you ever been a slave?"

"I can't say I was unfortunate to be one,"

"Then you should know that being asked to work 12 hours a day with only 3 hours of rest is not sothing to be happy about. The day my mother gave birth to , she was forced to go deep into a cave, and that was the last ti she was heard from.

I started carrying an axe and a hoe from the age of six, and for the better part of my life, I only knew the pained smile of slaves.

It doesn't matter how hurt you are; when your shift cos, you are required to go and work, for that is the purpose and the life of a slave.

To them, a slave is an expendable tool. They can always get more slaves, so a few deaths are nothing to worry about.

So imagine how it feels if a brat dares to say my life's worth is to be his slave. It is painful, Elder Ritsu, and for that, I will kill him.

I don't care who his family is or what they are capable of. I will kill him, and

there is nothing anyone can do to stop ."

Elder Ritsu and Willa were left with nothing to even say. They clearly understood what Jest ant, and that was enough for them to know where his stubbornness to kill that brat was coming from.

There was nothing they could do to stop him, for they knew his hatred was

coming from deep within his soul. Such hatred cannot be stopped.

However, knowing the kind of asset Jest is, there was just sothing about protecting him from himself.

If he were to beco a problem now, then he would one day beco a pain in the ass or be killed before he could make a na for himself.

'I guess we will just keep him engaged long enough to find a permanent solution for him. Either way, he cannot be allowed to kill that madman's son.'

After a few minutes of flight, they appeared before a garden filled mostly with purple-leaved plants. At a distance, Jest could sense so natural sword-like energy emitting from the garden.

If he didn't know better, he would say the plants were swords. However, as they drew closer, that thought started to change.

"What is this place?"

"This is the Purple Sword Garden."

"I can see that, Elder Ritsu. I ant to ask, what is this garden made of?"

Elder Ritsu paused for a mont and then said, "A very long ti ago, a sword immortal on the verge of ascending to the rank of a sword god lost control of his sword domain while comprehending sword will, and so he died. However, before dying, he used every last understanding of the sword he had gathered over the years to transform his domain, manifesting it as a garden. There are many theories as to why his sword domain could still live while he was dead, but the most logical one, of course, was that in his last mont, he was able to comprehend sword will, and that will is what is keeping this garden

alive."

Jest remained calm on the outside, but on the inside, his heart was beating like a drum. That was because, from where he stood now, all he could see were billions of swords transford into one big and beautiful garden.

"Impressive," he couldn't help muttering.

"If I were to cultivate here for just a year, I would be able to expand my understanding of the sword by several degrees. There is just so much to learn from this garden,"

Elder Ritsu and Willa smiled.

It seed keeping him engaged wouldn't be too hard after all. Soone like

Jest is a curious being. He would not stop expanding his understanding of the sword, provided he had sothing to learn from.

The Purple Sword Garden now seed like the best place for him to start. After all, many thirsted for this opportunity due to its many benefits.

They stopped in front of the garden.

"This is as far as we can take you. You are on your own now."

Jest thanked them and quickly entered the garden, eager to learn...
