The first painting to be auctioned was the Dream Illusion Flower.
"This painting is called Dream Illusion Flower. It is an illusion-based painting in which, by sending one's consciousness inside, one would be plagued by one illusion after another, each more harrowing than the last.
The longer you can stay inside the illusion, the stronger your mind becos. I have personally tested it, and while I may be a True God, I was able to only last 4 hours inside. That should tell you the terrifying capabilities of this spirit painting."
Everyone beca stunned, not expecting to hear such praise from Lady Tilly. They were already aware that she only auctions off things with value.
She wouldn't lie to sell sothing that had no value. So they could tell the painting was, as she said, sothing valuable.
Since that was the case, it made them wonder just who could create sothing this powerful.
"To be frank, I wanted to keep this painting for myself when it was brought over by our very own Lady Annette. However, she said the painter wanted it to be auctioned, so here we are.
I will place the starting bid at 100 billion. You can increase it by 1 billion. May the wealthiest bidder win."
"110 billion,"
"150 billion"
"210 billion"
The bidding started, and in under five seconds, it climbed past 200 billion. Kent, who was seated in VIP room 13, furrowed his brow, clearly not expecting Lady Tilly to place the starting bid at 100 billion.
From his mories, his best paintings sold for less than the starting bid set for today's painting. Back then, while he didn't have access to such an extravagant auction house like this, he had the chance to et gods and immortals, and even then, the highest he had sold was 67 billion spirit stones.
So he was stunned that his painting was being sold for over 200 billion.
Shockingly, the bidding had only just begun. However, with dozens of people bidding, the price rose to 500 billion in no ti.
The mont it moved past that price range, many started to drop out. The price kept increasing until only two bidders remained. By then, the price had already reached 700 billion.
The two bidders, both True Gods, kept going for another 20 minutes, taking the price all the way to 900 billion. It was then that a third voice entered the bidding war, causing the two True Gods to turn and look at VIP room 3.
"1.5 trillion."
Inaya took a sip of her wine, a smile playing on her face as she looked toward the two VIP rooms. They said nothing, but Kent could tell both True Gods were seething in anger.
They wasted a considerable amount of ti fighting over sothing, only for a third party to swoop in and take it from them.
The price Inaya gave was just too much for a spirit painting. In fact, they initially planned to end the bidding war at 1 trillion. However, adding 500 billion to it was just too much for them.
In the end, Inaya won the bid at 1.5 trillion spirit stones. That is roughly 15 billion Spirit Crystals. Such wealth is enough to make anyone influential even in a god world.
After the Dream Illusion Flower painting was sold, Lady Tilly brought out the Demon Heart Gaze painting.
"This is our last item, so be sure to go out with a bang." Everyone took in a deep breath and waited for her to introduce the spirit painting.
"The painter nad it the Demon Heart Gaze. And yes, it does exactly what the na suggests. It allows one to see if they have heart demons."
Murmurs spread across the auction house, so calling it bullshit while others wondered if there was such a thing as a spirit painting that could determine heart demons.
"Silence, everyone," Lady Tilly said, causing everyone to beco quiet. She turned toward a door to her left, and a young lady walked out.
"When I received this painting from Lady Annette a few days ago, I was also skeptical of its use. So I did what anyone would do: I reached out to the Light Church, and they sent soone to confirm its authenticity.
This fine lady here is one of the patients being treated at the Light Church. She developed a heart demon from infancy after she witnessed the massacre of her entire family.
She had been at the Light Church almost all her life, but even they couldn't find her heart demon—until recently."
Lady Tilly ford a hand seal and pointed it at the painting. The green eyes on it glowed, and then she gestured for the young lady to look into those eyes.
Under everyone's stunned gaze, a roar ca from the painting along with red smoke that manifested into a grotesque-looking monster.
Lady Tilly was quick to act, waving her hand to catch the monster. She then sealed it away and thanked the young lady, who, after 30,000 years, would finally be free of her heart demon once it was slain.
"Like I said, my auction house doesn't auction fake treasures, so never doubt the authenticity of what we put out for bidding."
"Impossible. Just how can a spirit painting be this powerful?"
"A better question—who painted it?"
"Indeed. Who painted such a powerful treasure?"
Lady Tilly smiled. "I don't know. However, they claim you will be seeing more of their paintings around soon. Also, since we are on that topic, I would like to appeal to the Nine Stars Chaos Brush to rember my auction house in the future when he has more paintings to auction off."
Many laughed, but a few started looking around, so wondering who among them was the Nine Stars Chaos Brush.
All the sa, now that they had a na, they would keep a lookout for the Nine Stars Chaos Brush and hope that in the future, he would reveal more paintings to the universe.
"On that note, the starting bid is set at 100 billion again."
Kent smiled weakly, watching as the gods beca hungry to have his painting.
"I never knew spirit paintings are this valuable," Vika muttered, looking at Kent.
Fallon smiled and answered, "Sa here. While I have collected many paintings, none was valued this much. In fact, the most expensive painting I ever collected was 80 billion, and even that was because it was from another era."
"The world of Spirit Painting is vast, so there is no need to be stunned, ladies. Now that I have a Spirit Brush, I will paint more. Spirit paintings are a gift of nature, so the universe deserves to have more of them."
They nodded and continued to watch as the price climbed all the way to a trillion. Yet again, the sa True Gods were the ones locked in the bidding war.
However, there were three others. This continued for an hour and a half before a True God inside VIP room 18 won the bid at a staggering 2.1 trillion spirit stones.
Kent smiled cheerfully, knowing he had made bank this ti. He had purchases to make that even tower points couldn't cover. So with this much money, when he ascended, even without his money still yet to be claid, he could live comfortably.
