Kent sat in the lotus posture, eyes closed, as he began using the Astral Projection skill he received from the universe.

The skill took so ti, but it activated, and slowly, a version of Kent appeared out of his body and stood in front of him.

'It worked,' he thought, looking at his real body now sitting like a lifeless shell. Already, he could feel his soul essence being spent. However, he didn't imdiately move.

He tapped into the cheat he received and activated the Seek skill.

Almost imdiately, he saw where he had to go.

It was like a Wi-Fi connection asking him to connect. So he left, and when he was outside, he leaped into the air and began flying toward a large mansion sowhere in the Mage Gate.

It took him a couple of minutes, even in his soul form. When he arrived at the mansion, Kent imdiately beca convinced this was the right place.

For so reason, in his soul form, he could sense the evil qi in the air more pronounced now. Around the mansion, he could clearly sense the evil qi.

It was faint—sothing not even the gate masters could sense or see. However, he could sense it, and so he began moving toward the trail left by the evil qi.

The Seek skill had brought him to the mansion.

Getting things done was now up to him. He must locate the entrance and move in.

So he started moving, and soon, he was inside the house after walking through the door without even opening it.

He was like a ghost in that regard.

"This place is creepy, alright," Kent thought, seeing no one around. Instead, most of the stuff inside the house was covered with white cloth.

It wouldn't take a genius to know whoever lived in the house didn't stay there often, so all the things that could be destroyed from the exposure to nature were covered.

"The evil qi leads to the basent through the bathroom." He made his way toward the bathroom, and when he entered, he could tell it hadn't been used for a while. However, he could also tell soone had been there recently.

But he didn't linger.

Instead, he entered through a small door that took him straight to the basent, and there, he saw the entrance to hell.

It wasn't a portal. No, it was more like a dark cave that most definitely didn't inspire confidence for anyone to enter and explore what it was hiding.

But he cannot back down now.

Kent walked through it regardless, and that was when he ca face to face with the evil nature of the lair he had found himself in.

He appeared in a narrow hallway where dimly burning lamps hung on the walls.

"The stories back on Earth did a terrible job portraying evil in the movies," Kent said to himself as he moved through the narrow hallway.

On so parts of the walls, skulls of different types of monsters and humans could be seen. It was as if whoever lived here enjoyed hanging things.

The horror of it all is heartbreaking.

'This person is creepy, for sure,' he said, but slowly, he made his way out of the hallway. The hallways weren't that wide, but it was enough to tell whoever was hiding down there that he or she may have visitors.

In fact, even from his basent, there were formations down there that would have alerted him that he was being invaded.

Kent moved through the hallway until he appeared in a new place. He appeared in a new, terrifying setting.

He was face to face with the most chilling sight hanging at the centre of a large hall.

"What the fuck?"

Kent nearly scread out when he saw the large cauldron hanging and dripping red blood.

It had a tube connected to it, and after tracing so of the tubes, they led to large cages housing spirit beasts.

The horrifying part was that so of these beasts were still alive, but for the dead, it should have been a rcy at this point.

"This person deserves all the torture in this world," Kent said, clenching his fist. The horror surrounding him wasn't sothing he was sure people could survive.

"And she had been down here for decades? Just how strong is her will to live?" Kent was impressed, yet he could tell this wasn't as simple as it appeared.

"I must find her soon," he said before turning into a bat, considering he had seen a few on his way into the lair. It was the perfect camouflage.

He began flying toward the tubes, tracing them to their sources. He wasn't holding back his speed, so even as a small bat, he was moving several tis faster.

After 20 minutes, he finally narrowed down the search and managed to figure out her location. He moved quickly, and soon, he ca face to face with two cages housing two ladies.

One was already as pale as she could be, but he could tell she wasn't dying anyti soon, while the other was graceful and sitting with her eyes closed.

"If I'm not mistaken, the pale one is the disciple of the Spear gate Master—the blonde disciple she was so proud of—and the green-haired beauty is the big sister of the Sword Gate Master."

Kent watched the two ladies in the cage and sighed in his bat form. He seed to do a lot of sighing, regardless of his situation.

Well, the situation he was in now most definitely required him to sigh a few tis. The sight before him was just too heartbreaking.

"They need to be rescued soon; otherwise, from the look of things, they might just give up," Kent said to himself, moving closer to the cage of the green-haired beauty.

Looking at the two, he could tell she was the ideal person to talk to, considering she was the main reason he was there.

After moving a couple of ters closer to the cage, he stopped and thought of the best way to reach her. After a few seconds of thinking, he knew what had to be done.

It wasn't like the universe would bring him this far without a way to get things done.

Nara, who was sitting quietly and ditating, sensed a disturbance in her surroundings, so she snapped her eyes open. She looked around but could only see a bat hanging on the cave walls.

She closed her eyes again. However, a voice entered her mind before she could get back to her ditation.

[Don't be alard. I am here to rescue you.]
