Kent and his ladies were led to VIP Room 13, where they would share neighbours with the entourage from the Faywood Noble family and the Miller family.
A lot had happened, and now everyone wanted to get close to Kent.
Of course, the arrangent was made by Alina, who didn't bat an eye to organize this. She had her man's interests at heart.
So despite knowing he will be committing murder with this arrangent, she didn't bat an eye arranging it.
However, the Zephyr rchant family, who were in charge of the auction, had already started moving to get into his good graces.
Soone like Kent is destined to explore many ancient ruins. This ans he will be bringing out many valuables. So, to call dibs on those, they wanted to earn his favour.
They offered him the best services by assigning maids who would take care of everything during the three days they would spend at the auction.
They planned to approach him later.
If only they knew they were already in Kent's good graces.
Alina had already told him how they took her in and provided everything she needed. They beca her second family and ensured she grew up well.
This alone was enough for Kent to hold them in high regard. They were the benefactors of his wife, so he would repay them well.
"If I didn't know better, I'd say the Silver Leaf Auction House is showing favoritism. How is it that we get our own dedicated maids while the others don't?" Saintess Val, who was sipping a glass of wine, asked.
They are settled in VIP Room 13.
It's one of the many VIP rooms in the large auction house. Of course, she wasn't complaining about the drinks, but it was indeed true—they were getting the favourite child treatnt, unlike the other nobles.
"That's because I am handso, and everyone treats handso people well," Kent replied, causing his wives and even the two gate masters to smile.
Saintess Val looked at him and smirked. Kent doesn't know it yet, but the lady he had taken in as his servant is soone who likes to steal from people.
She doesn't have much money on her, but since Kent was offering, she wouldn't be shy. In fact, Li Hua would like her in that aspect.
But Kent doesn't care even if she were to buy the entire auction. He had trillions in spirit stones—who is to say he will run out of cash?
"Like I said, ladies, buy what you want using my money. You will pay back one way or the other," Kent said, flashing an evil smirk.
His wives understood the reference, but the two gate masters and the rude saintess were oblivious. If only they knew what he ant, perhaps they wouldn't have accepted even a penny from him.
More and more people started appearing, each taken to their rooms to relax and wait for the first day of the auction to begin.
Kent saw the Faywoods enter their room a couple of minutes ago. He sized them up and could tell the one he had to kill was just a Level 5 Root Great Sage.
He ca with three wives and five others. Two were Root Transcendents, and from their aura, he could tell they were not to be underestimated.
'I must tread carefully and ensure the bug is planted well,' Kent said to himself. If they were re Root Great Sages, he wouldn't have to worry too much. But now, he had to be careful.
He was within the range to put the shadow spider in the shadow of Bright Faywood, but he knew that could easily be noticed.
So he kept waiting while keeping an eye on things. Suddenly, a maid moved past Room 13 and entered Room 14.
A while later, she ca out again with a frown. Obviously, they had wanted sothing else, and from the frown on her face, they hadn't asked nicely.
He smirked. "Ladies, I will be back in a few minutes," Kent said before walking out of the room. He went straight toward where the maid went.
He would put the spider in her shadow, and then, when she returned to Room 14, he would command it to enter Bright's shadow. This would even allow him to hear what they said during the auction.
In fact, on the way, he entertained the idea of bugging everyone, considering so of the most influential people were now gathered in one place.
However, considering he needed the tower points for the upcoming rescue mission, that would be a waste.
Kent walked down the hallway but was forced to stop when a certain familiar face blocked his path.
"Just great," Kent muttered.
"What do you want?" he asked. Annabelle, the disciple of the Wicked Poison Witch who ca to get revenge a couple of weeks ago at the sect, now stood in his path, her expression furious.
"Remove the seal you placed on my soul," she demanded, but Kent simply shrugged.
The seal linked her soul to his—if sothing happened to him, the sa would happen to her. This was his way of keeping the Wicked Poison Witch away from his business for a few weeks.
He had real things to worry about and if possible, he wouldn't want to have a Pill Saint running after him.
This was also why kent wanted to back then take care of her ones and for all.
He had made a move to anger Annabelle's Master and perhaps provoke her into attacking soone he cared about.
This would have given him a reason to kill her and remove a future obstacle. However, in the end, he only had to use her poisoned body to deter her.
Now, the Pill Saint had locked herself in her room, not even allowing her disciple to get close.
It was apparent that her master was not happy with the turn of events after she ca seeking revenge for her disciple.
"If you don't do it, I will make sure your life becos miserable," Annabelle said arrogantly.
"Bitch, please.
You don't have anything under your skirt, and in case you're not aware, I'm playing in leagues far above your own. So go look for your own playmates," Kent retorted, not even bothering to look at her as he walked away.
His mission was far more important than bickering with a spoiled bitch who couldn't take a loss.
