'Blacksmiths who once lived here but are now in the heavens,' Kent pondered on what Gate Master Camilla had said.
According to his master, before the Parting, there were beings far stronger than the current limit of this world.
However, most fell during the Battle of the Parting, and so, after the Parting, were not seen or heard from again.
Obviously, this had sothing to do with universal intervention. They made sure limits were placed on this world and others like it.
When Kent obtained the arrow from the Green Gate Bazaar, he learned of the ancient Battle of the Parting. Now, he was starting to learn sothing new, and perhaps this would lead him to so answers.
The first was what happens to those who reach the limit of this world.
He must ascend, as per the roadmap he was following. It was necessary so he could continue his mission. But so far, he didn't know how to go about that.
Of course, he knew the Universe would one day give him the answer but learning a few things on his own was good.
'I will hold on for now. But when I am nearing the stage to ascend, I won't just sit without finding answers.
Also, I must enter the ancient battlefield of the Parting. Who knows what awaits there? Even if nothing is there for , I can still learn more about the world before the Parting.'
More items were brought to the stage, but Kent wasn't interested in any of them. He could easily buy the sa things from the Tower shop using Tower points, so he let the others bid on them.
In fact, the first dozen items that were brought out were things he really didn't care for. He wasn't bored, though, simply because Alina was the auctioneer, so he enjoyed just watching her do her thing.
But he also had to strike up a conversation with the ladies since his other mission was to get to know them and build so trust between them.
"So, do you ladies plan on ascending beyond this world?" Kent asked, causing the ladies to turn toward him.
"Ascend, as in rising above the level of the Kingdom Protectors?" Gate Master Mara asked, looking at Kent as though he had just asked sothing forbidden.
"I don't know who these Kingdom Protectors are, but yes, I'm talking about rising to a stage where this world wouldn't be able to contain you anymore, so you would have to ascend to a higher world where you can continue your growth."
The Kingdom Protectors are beings sitting at the pinnacle of this world, and their main job is acting as the kingdom's last defence.
There are four of them on the human continent, each from the four kingdoms. Nobody has seen them before, but they are there.
Well, nobody would recognize them simply because even if they t them, they wouldn't know who they were. They are the strongest for a reason.
"I've heard from people that so have transcended from this world before using the Ascension Stone. It was sothing akin to a teleportation stone that transported them to a random higher world, or so they said.
However, I've only heard about it—I've never seen it with my own two eyes.
But as for whether I want to ascend or not, if I ever reach that stage and have the ans, of course, I would want to ascend. But for now, I don't have the ans, so I won't look that far ahead."
"Don't worry about it. If you remain a good girl, I'll take you along when I ascend," Kent said, making the two Gate Masters and the rude Saintess roll their eyes.
They brushed it off as though he had just told the biggest joke in the universe. If only they knew he was serious and would actually be ascending sooner than anyone could imagine.
"By the way, Saintess Val, can you look toward VIP room 34 and smile?" Kent said, making the Saintess look at him weirdly.
"Trust . Look and smile."
The Saintess sighed and did as she was told.
Inside VIP room 34, Elder Cecil, one of the elders who ca to the Divine Palace sect to demand her return, clenched her fist and gritted her teeth.
Her gaze t Kent's, who smiled and mouthed a word that nearly made the elder explode out of her room and jump at him.
'How have you been?'
Talk about soone who already has a Pill Saint as an enemy; now, he has an entire sect after him, and instead of lying low, he was already infuriating them.
The Gate Masters, who saw what he did, could only sigh and plan a better punishnt for him after he helped them save their disciple and sister.
For now, they would protect him against the devil if it ca down to it. But afterwards, all the trouble he had caused would be offloaded onto him in the most painful way possible.
"For our next auction item," Alina's voice suddenly echoed through the auction hall, causing Kent to turn his attention there. He could sense sothing powerful about to be auctioned.
The elegant chanized table moved forward, and sitting atop it was a treasure that caught everyone's attention. They could sense a powerful energy emanating from it.
They all wanted it, for even if they didn't know its purpose, they knew it was sothing valuable.

"This is the Wishing Star Fragnt. It's a fragnt from a fallen star that is said to be guarded by powerful spirit beasts—so formidable that even a Root Sovereign stage expert wouldn't have an easy ti facing them.
A group of explorers found this piece, brave enough to venture into the Ancient Battlefield of Parting. We don't know what it's made of, but we can all tell it is a treasure beyond treasures.
The starting bid is 900,000 spirit stones, with incrents of 50,000 spirit stones.
The bidding starts now."
Alina declared, and everyone began throwing money into the air.
[Master, you must get this at all costs,] Gaia spoke, but Kent was already ahead.
