"Hello there, Nara. 'Tis I, Kent, your Prince Charming, speaking."
Nara was seated in a lotus posture and was cultivating when a smirk ford on her face as she heard Kent's voice in her head.
She would be lying if she said she hadn't missed the only voice that seed to fill her with hope these past few weeks.
Though she had remained strong for the past 60 years, she had started to lose hope, seeing no end to her tornt. But now, all that changed when Kent appeared in her life.
⟪I can already tell why the ladies are falling for you. You just know how to make a lady feel loved,⟫ Nara said, causing the bat Kent to smile in his head, of course.
Bats don't smile. That would just be ridiculous.
"It's only normal for to make such a beauty as yourself feel loved. After all, you are stuck with for years to co."
⟪You make it sound like I will fall for you. Let tell you, aside from my sword, I don't have any more feelings to give,⟫ she smiled.
"That's what they all say until they can't resist. But don't worry, I will ensure you feel love deeply, of course."
⟪Shaless. I can already tell you're a shaless individual,⟫ she said, her smile still on her face, causing the disciple of the Spear Gate Master, who seed to be awake this ti, to raise her eyebrow and start looking around.
It took her a few seconds, but she spotted the bat hanging on the wall.
She wanted to speak, but Nara subtly shook her head, causing her to hold back her words.
⟪She wants to hear your voice,⟫ Nara said, making Kent sigh inwardly before deciding to speak to her.
"Hello there. I am Kent, a friend of your master. She sent to rescue you. Now, just sit there and show no happy expressions if you can't be like Nara. But rest assured, you will be rescued by the end of tomorrow."
The lady sat there, unmoving. However, Kent and Nara could tell she was putting all her effort into holding back her emotions.
They had to wait three minutes before she asked a question.
⟪Mas-master, is she okay? Has she been eating well? I can tell you are not telling everything. Has she fallen in love yet?⟫
She asked all the important questions she had on her mind during the years she was trapped in that cage.
"Your master is well, and yes, she eats good stuff every day. In fact, she enjoys it more than you think, and yes, she has fallen in love," Kent said.
He could tell the mont Zaila held his replay; she beca very happy as teardrops started to fall from her eyes.
⟪Thank you, Kent. It's good to hear she is well. I am happy now.⟫ She bent her head and started sobbing, just as she had done for all the years she had been down there.
⟪Just let her have her mont. Now, what did you want to tell ?⟫ Nara sighed.
"I just wanted to let you know that tomorrow, the rescue mission will comnce, and you will be free by then.
But you must ensure that, until the last mont, you make no move to alert the sect master that sothing like this is happening.
Just be ready because you will have your life back after tomorrow."
⟪We will be ready, and please, be careful. I don't want your pretty face getting hurt before I see it. I can't tell how you look, considering you are a bat. So keep the face well until I see it⟫
The lady had to be given the award for being the best hostage. Despite her situation, now that she had hope, her life was full of strength and cheekiness.
"Don't worry, my face will remain handso forever. But I'm sad you only wanted to see my face; your sister was more concerned about sothing happening to my dragon rod."
Nara's cheeks turned beet red upon hearing such a shaless comnt from Kent. But the dragon just smirked and turned to Zaila.
Once again, bats don't smirk, but you get the idea.
"Hi. Just relax and start counting the minutes. Soon—and when I say soon, in the next 20 hours—you will be getting out of here.
Your master will be very happy to see you, so put on a brave face and hold your shoulders high. You will be free soon."
After saying that, Kent bid them farewell and flew away. A few minutes later, he was back in his body. With a heavy sigh, he entered the tower, appearing inside the Legion Tower.
There, he saw Kaizo on the floor, panting.
"Buddy, you have suffered," Kent said, sitting down and tapping his shoulder.
"I want to grow stronger, Master. These two are not friendly at all," Kaizo said, pointing at Sylara, the Harbinger, who was now staring at Veydris, the tal Knight.
Sylara is an Ascension stage expert, while Veydris is at the peak of the Transcendent stage. However, if the two were to fight, Kent knew Veydris would win simply because of his affinity to the Void.
His attacks are hard to defend against, so Sylara would be in a tight spot. But then again, Kent hadn't seen the two in combat yet, so he could only wait for that day to happen.
"Don't worry, buddy. You and I will soon be trashing an Ascension-stage human who has taken sothing that belongs to ," Kent said, making Kaizo jump to his feet and laugh.
"Just you and , Master. I want to punch sothing," the dragon laughed.
"Yes. Just you and " Kent smiled and then turned to the two weirdos
"Sylara, Veydris, co closer," Kent called out, and the two vanished, reappearing right in front of him, and stood beside Kaizo.
"I have a mission that requires you to babysit my won. And when I say babysit, make sure they don't die. Leave the battle to them and only intervene when they are having a hard ti."
Sylara nodded, but Veydris remained standing. However, he stabbed his sword into the ground twice, showing he had taken in the instruction.
"Get ready. I will call you when ready to move out."
Kent vanished and appeared inside Tower City.
