Chapter 680: Making a Decision [Bonus]
Kent stood before the imposing gate with a smirk on his face.
“Did I just get fucked over by my own incarnation…” Obviously, the answer was obvious. Chaos had indeed played a good sport on him, and the outco was Kent cursing himself.
Which was ironic, considering he never truly expected anything different. He would have done the sa thing if he were in Chaos’ place…
‘But wait…Chaos and I are the sa person…so it ans I wasnt in my place and I choose to fuck up the peaceful life of my future self’ Kent smiled weakily…
‘Was I this crazy in all my incarnations…’ He shuddered thinking about it.
‘If the answer is yes…then it ans I am going to suffer 13 tis over…”
“Fuck …” Kent broke down thinking about his life…and the path her had set for himself…one he cant dare not to traverse.
“…From the mont I t that guy, I knew he had a few screws loose in his head… who would have thought those screws would make him ss this hard with ?”
Kent sighed, and then a smile appeared on his face. “Looks like I am not destined to learn this technique today.”
He indeed could not learn the technique. The reason was that the last few words Chaos left him. It appeared that before he could break the chain, he had to learn a different type of aura called [Blood Aura] and then rge it with the Chaos Claw Aura.
Kent had already awakened the Chaos Claw Aura, so he was left with the Blood Aura. However, judging from what Chaos left him, he was fucked either way.
Not that he expected anything different from soone like Chaos, but he never expected his incarnation to be this unruly.
“This can only an one thing: this place is a physical space, and so what Chaos wrote here is still here waiting for as if he knew he would one day co back here.” Kent sighed and then started flying up.
“Before I make a decision, I must at least know what happened to him. Thankfully, Chaos had ti to docunt his journey from the day he arrived in front of this door.”
It took Kent a few minutes, but he managed to locate the first day of Chaos’s arrival…
⟦Day 1: So I am officially in the realm of Chaos and Blood. The na is a little on the nose, but I had to get things moving, so accept what you got.
The Blood Sea was a headache, but I managed to get to the door in one piece. Now I just have to shatter this damn chain and I will be out of here.
I know it won’t be easy, but I am not an easy dragon, too… I wasn’t called Chaos for nothing…
Actually, I gave myself that na, but then again, I don’t think there will ever be a na better than mine… Imagine growing up among immortals with a na like Kent… I an, co on.⟧
“It is official… I was an idiot, a sadistic, manipulative, evil person in my first life. I an, what kind of idiot was I to think now is the best ti to joke about the na I will go by in my future life?” Kent looked at the writing for a few more seconds, and a sigh escaped his lips.
“I guess I knew I would be coming here one day, so I left myself a couple of ssages, if only the ssages were more important.” A smile appeared on Kent’s lips as he shifted to the second day…
⟦Day 2: So it turns out that if you don’t want every bone in your body to shatter, never attempt to break the chain… I learned it the hard way.
Also, the healing process is significantly slower here, so you might want to avoid getting injured. Then again, you can try and see if you are luckier than I.⟧
“No, thank you… I trust myself well enough not to attempt this disastrous enterprise,” Kent smiled and then looked toward the rest of the writings for day 2.
Secretly, though, he was happy Chaos suffered when he tried to break the chain…
⟦I need to think of a way out. Although I can probably stay here for a few more months, I need to resolve this issue soon, and the only way to do that is to find a solution.
The first thought that ca to mind was using a martial technique, but then I found out I don’t have a martial technique. But even if I do, I don’t think it would have worked.
So the only way now is to strengthen my fist, and perhaps that will help break this damn chain. I have a few ideas, and one is to train my Chaos Claw Aura. I know it is a long shot, but that will do.⟧
“Evil and sadistic, but he left so insightful ssages here for to add to my experience of his life.” The mories inscribed on the walls are not in the mory he unlocked using the mory keys.
This ans that within this realm, the mory cannot be extracted using a mory key. Kent had already lived past this point of Chaos’s mories, but he had never seen these portions of his mories.
So this is a new experience for him.
The only downside here is that he would have to do everything by himself instead of inheriting it from Chaos. It doesn’t sound too bad… “However, I don’t have ti to get into things now. So I have to go back and co later,” Kent sighed.
He looked around the door and saw more writings.
If he were to get into it now, things would beco much more imrsive, and he might remain there for years.
Thankfully, there was sothing he noticed about the tower: whenever he entered a strange state, ti seed to continue running based on the tower’s ti, so there was at least a silver lining.
It ans months passed, but on the outside, it was a few days…But he can’t afford to stay here for long…
He flew down and landed softly on the ground.
“I will co back, and perhaps next ti, I will learn more about this Maw of the Abyss. The na sounds ominous, and so I have no doubt it will be a harrowing adversary.” Kent sat down and then willed himself to leave the space he was in…
The next second, he opened his eyes inside the tower. However, the mont he did, his Chaos Claw Aura surged, becoming much stronger than before.
It felt like just remaining in the Realm of Blood and Chaos was not entirely wasted. His Chaos Claw has beco more powerful…
He didn’t use it during his spar with Kaizo, and it was probably for the best. Kaizo would have died if he used it…
“I’d better get my affairs in order and get back there fast. Perhaps next ti, I will be walking out with sothing good.”
Kent checked with the tower and realized he had been away for two and a half months. “This ans the dungeon has finished upgrading.”
Kent quickly checked the ssages he had received and located the one ant for the dungeon…
