Chapter 687: The Hand is Angry
First of all, the Hand didn’t even know what to think.
Yes… They are the strongest underworld organization in the world. Yes… Nobody dares challenge them. And yes, they have the sa authority as kings and queens.
Naturally, they have what it takes to make a kingdom bleed. So such an organization isn’t one to take for granted.
Yet, Kent Madson did, and the implications are sothing nobody can even fathom. The daring nature of Kent Madson has finally made the Hand angry—and they are, in fact, very angry.
First, not only did Kent know their main goals and plans for the world, but he also knew what had to be done and what the end product would be.
If they didn’t know better, they would say he was a part of them, that he was there when they discussed their plans to bring about the end of the world. They would say he had spies in their organization, and for that, they had to do a purge.
They had to identify the spy(s) in their organization and handle them effectively. That was the only logical explanation for the fact that Kent knew their biggest secret.
However, crazy as it may sound, they knew they had no spies in their organization. But even if they did, it wasn’t as if the spies knew of sothing this sensitive and managed to tell an outsider.
The mont they utter a word of it to an outsider, they would know, and the person who betrays them will die without fail. They wouldn’t even be done divulging the secret before death kicks in.
And even if the person sohow manages to say sothing, aside from the eight of them in the room, nobody else knew of the doomsday plan they were cooking up.
So they knew Kent ca about this information in so other way.
But just how?
Such information is not easily obtainable. This ans that Kent is indeed dangerous, and that alone left the people shocked and scared.
Yes… They are scared, and it isn’t because they just heard the Oracles are no more. They are scared because, for the first ti since the Hand was ford, soone actually had the courage to command them.
Kent commanded them to do what they wanted to do in the first place. That ans he isn’t afraid of them, and he isn’t afraid to show it.
This also ans the fear around them—the one that is even making the Dragons beco wary of them—isn’t sothing Kent cares about.
That was just too arrogant, and as such, they wanted blood.
“Deploy everyone… activate all sleeper warriors and contact all our allies… and if that is not enough, your seven should go personally and ensure his head is on a silver platter the next ti I see your faces,” the Hand shouted, showing how angry she had beco.
Not that the seven people around her weren’t also angry—they each felt like ripping Kent into shreds.
“We will get it done, my lady.” With that, they left, leaving the Hand to herself.
The Seven Fangs of the Hand had already shown interest in hunting Kent down, so this was a golden opportunity for them to get just what they wanted.
After the Hand left the eting hall, she entered an underground chamber that led deeper into the ground. After moving for a while, she ca to a stop in front of a small door.
She sighed deeply, then opened it and entered. The room was painted black—every part of it painted black. However, aside from the black paint, a black mirror was also hanging on the facing wall.
She took a mont, then spoke to the mirror.
“We have a problem.” For a mont, nothing happened; however, after a few seconds, the mirror shimred, and then a face appeared on it.
It was that of a lady, a very beautiful lady with two crystal-red horns on her forehead. She wasn’t a dragon, but judging by the horns and the fact that she had much longer ears, it was clear she might be a hybrid of a dragon and an elf.
“Speak, my child,” the voice said in a tone that was both soothing and authoritative.
“There is a human threat to our plans. I am afraid that if he is not taken care of, we might face complications… I have already activated all the forces we have… but I want him gone, so I want your assistance.”
There was a pause, then the lady in the mirror smiled. “It has been 27,000 years, Amix. You never once asked for my assistance, unlike your sisters. So if you are asking now, it must an you are facing a rather severe problem.
Co on, tell more about this human while we still have ti… the laws are closing in.”
Amix, the leader of the Hand sign, then began to speak. “His na is Kent Madson… he ca out of nowhere and started causing trouble for everyone.
I used so of my assets to handle him, but he took care of them, and, well, so betrayed … not that I expected anything less from such an asset… but he is good at hiding, and so far, I can’t pinpoint where he is.
But he is resourceful. So I doubt he can be easily taken care of without your help.”
“He doesn’t sound like an enemy to . Why don’t you make him your ally?” the lady in the mirror suggested.
“That is not possible. And I have no place to make him an ally… However, you should know he owns a Divine Atomic Body and he knew about our plans to open the Gate of the Apocalypse…”
“What?” The lady in the mirror frowned. “He must be eliminated… and fast.” The lady in the mirror paused for a few minutes, then spoke again.
“The Ancient race has stirred. I authorize you to use the thod and unleash them after this, Kent Madson. Give them the sa deal… if they help, they will get as much blood from the Wynthralls.
With them, this Kent Madson will fall regardless of his resourcefulness.”
The face vanished from the mirror, but her voice echoed in Amix’s head. “Do not fail, Amix. Lord Immortal won’t be happy if you fail.”
