Chapter 711: Kent Madson [Bonus]

It was an instantaneous movent, one that happened in under a second. But that was all Kent needed to execute his move.

He first appeared before Aeric, and with a quick swing, he took off both hands at shoulder level. Kent didn’t hesitate to go for that precise strike.

He moved and severed one arm and one leg from the second elf, a rather handso blonde who had chosen to co against him. That didn’t stop Kent from cutting them off.

Both his sword-wielding arm and dominant right leg were taken off before Kent appeared in front of the next one. He was a dark-haired elf, also handso, like an elf should be. For him, Kent took both legs off and then appeared before the next guy.

Kent showed favoritism by not attacking the lady among them. But who could bla him… The elf lady was rather beautiful to be amputated all of a sudden.

It didn’t sit well with Kent, so he went after the dudes. The lady would take them away for healing. The last one lost both arms just like Aeric.

Kent was back in his original position before many registered what had happened. When they all saw what happened, their eyes widened, fear gripping them.

The screams of the four who had just lost their limbs penetrated everyone’s ears, drawing attention even from within the city.

But Kent wasn’t done. He flicked his arm, and the severed limbs on the ground were burned, to the horror of everyone watching.

When the last limb was burnt to ash, Kent turned to the only remaining elf—the lady.

“You can take them away thanks to this young man saving their lives. Like I said, I would have killed all four of them and burned their bodies, leaving only their heads… But thanks to him, I will let them keep their lives for today.”

That said, you should tell your people sothing for .” Kent smiled. “Tell them I, Kent Madson, said, ‘I don’t have a grudge against them, but if they choose to beco dogs for the Hand, then I will have no problem cutting them down.’

That will be all, so run along.”

The elf lady, fear seeping into her soul, flew into the air, the four lifting off after her. With her impeccable control of spiritual Qi, she was able to carry them effortlessly.

After she was gone from sight, Kent turned to the guards.

“My na is Kent Madson, a human from the Human Continent. I ca here by crossing the treacherous Black Sea and traversing the Fla Valley through the Core region. So naturally, I have no plans of turning back now.

And as you all saw, I am an enemy of the Hand and a potential enemy of your kind. Of course, I have no plans to attack any Half-Elves, considering I am here to compete for a chance to enter the Fla Tower.

So let us all get along.” He ended his sentence with a smile, causing those who had just witnessed the public display of brutality to swallow nervously.

Kent didn’t bother about their scared expressions. He was looking straight at the city gate. “What do you guys think? Are you opening the door, or should I introduce myself again?”

The guards exchanged uneasy glances, their hands subtly moving toward their weapons, though none dared to make the first move. The tension in the air was thick, like the calm before a storm.

Finally, the tallest among them stepped forward, his voice shaky but firm. “We… we will open the gates. But we will have to escort you in. This is just a precaution in case you feel like pulling out your weapon again.”

Kent chuckled, amused by the guard’s words. “You are funny. However, rest assured, I have no plans of pulling out my sword if you don’t pull yours.”

“Very well. We will allow your entry.”

Kent’s lips curled into a confident smirk. “That’s all I ask.”

With a slow, deliberate motion, the guards signaled for the massive iron gates to be unlocked. The guards had already inford their superiors, so allowing Kent in was to ensure he remained within the city’s confines.

They don’t want him running, in case their leaders wish to have him captured. After the gate opened, Kent’s eyes landed on a magnificent city spread into the distance.

However, his attention was imdiately drawn to the five guards standing at the entrance to the city gate.

Just a glance was enough to tell Kent they were different from the ones outside

They had this danger in their gaze, one that Kent felt from so of the fla beasts he killed. That look told him quite enough.

Then, if that wasn’t enough, their armor was deep black with reddish runic patterns on it. Per Kent’s knowledge, he knew the runes were for defense.

And, judging by how complex they looked, such runes wouldn’t be found on an ordinary guard’s armor.

“The king ordered the human nad Kent Madson to be brought to the palace imdiately,” one of the new guards shouted, drawing even more attention.

“Oh, co on… At the very least, allow to explore the city and take in the sights first. I also have to register for the competition,” Kent said, sounding like he had been dealt an injustice.

“This is no longer a request. Follow us to the palace on your terms, or we will drag you there.”

“Tsk,” Kent smirked and then stepped through the gate. But before he left with them, Kent turned and, without saying any nas, shouted, “I will look for you guys later.” With that, he walked away, causing all those who saw Kent’s brutality to sigh.

“That was intense…”

“Indeed. I felt like I was staring at the Demon King who ca down from hell to eat us mortals.”

“I an, aren’t humans considered to be at the bottom of the food chain? If that is true, then how could one of them amputate four powerful Elves just like that?”

The question hung in the air as the wind carried it all over Elarion, reaching almost everyone, even before the end of the day…
