The ten Elders in the hall and the King were visibly shaken when they saw Kent. It wasn’t because Kent was too handso to the point that they couldn’t fathom his good looks…
Their shock stemd from the fact that, among the many rumors circulating about Kent Madson, the person in question was rely a level three Core Formation Expert.
Until today, they had expected Kent to be so big shot, soone with power so great that killing him would require the assistance of an entire race.
They expected Kent to look so scary that just laying eyes on him would be enough to make you pee your pants. They expected Kent to be the most dangerous person they had ever t…
But looking at him now, they just couldn’t bring themselves to pee their pants or run away screaming.
Kent was just normal, and aside from his handsoness, they didn’t feel any threat from him.
King Thalirion looked at Kent curiously for a few seconds and then spoke, “You are Kent Madson?” It was a question containing many skeptical remarks, one aid at knowing just what the fuck was going on.
Was the Hand ssing with them by claiming Kent was dangerous? Or was he really that strong but appeared harmless to deceive everyone? Nothing made sense to the king and his Elders…
Kent looked at everyone and nodded. “I am Kent Madson… Nice eting you all.”
The Elders looked at Kent, scanning him from head to toe. Of course, the fact that Kent didn’t seem agitated or scared told them how he felt.
‘He isn’t afraid of us… Almost like we aren’t much of a threat to him… But that just doesn’t make sense.’
The King and his Elders thought the sa thing.
“May I know why you are here?” the king asked. For soone being hunted by the Hand, though he appeared harmless, it was better to tread carefully.
“I am here to join the competition to gain access to the Fla Tower… Though my end ga is to get into the Supre Immortal Sect.”
“You are not a Half-Elf,” the King said.
“I know. However, a little bird told that this is an open competition, so I can compete if I et the requirents… As it turns out, I et all the requirents.” Kent smiled.
The Elders looked at the king and then back at Kent.
“Registrations are over… So I am sorry, but you may have co here for nothing,” the King said, keeping a straight face.
Kent studied his expression for a few monts before a sigh escaped his lips.
“I understand. In that case, I will leave then…” Kent looked at the King and his elders for a few more seconds.
“Whatever the Hand is offering you, don’t even consider it. Trust , going against is the last thing you want to do… But you can call them and tell them where I am…”
Kent turned and started walking away from the hall under the shocked gaze of the King and his elders. They just didn’t understand what had happened.
It was true that registrations were over, but this was the king; he had the ans to add one more candidate to the list of registered candidates. However, instead of Kent pleading with him to do so, he turned to leave.
But if that wasn’t shocking enough, he even told them to call the people after him and give them his location. It was like he didn’t care about his life, so he wanted it to end.
But the most shocking part was the subtle threat he left them, as if he was making sure they understood he wasn’t afraid of them, not even in the slightest.
“Wait,” King Thalirion said, halting Kent in his tracks. He turned and looked back at the King.
“Are you just going to leave like that? Aren’t you even going to try to get a spot in the competition? I know you ca a long way for this. Aren’t the Fla Tower what you are after?”
Kent smiled slightly. “I indeed ca a long way for this. However, since I couldn’t get a chance to see her, I planned to try my luck sowhere else.
I ca here because I was told the Half-Elves are more welcoming to humans than the other races. But since I won’t be getting a chance here, I might as well try my luck sowhere else. I am sure I will get a slot one way or the other.”
The King turned and looked at his elders as if they should say sothing. He hadn’t expected the conversation to go in this direction.
He expected Kent to be more desperate. He expected him to beg for a chance to compete for a slot to enter the Fla Tower.
This way, if things had gone like he expected, he would have so leverage to know more about why Kent was being hunted down by the Hand.
However, as if he weren’t even interested in what he had co there for, Kent just turned to leave. This broke the expectations he had of Kent…
The King and his elders were taken aback, unsure of what to say. They had never t soone who could show such a degree of nonchalance when sothing as precious as entering the Fla Tower was on the line.
“You all might want to take my offer and contact the Hand, or else the Elves will beat you to it. Although I must say, I am a little disappointed that my expectations for coming here weren’t t.

“What if we give you a spot to compete? Would that be enough to tell us why the Hand is after you?” The King, ever the conscientious man, still wanted to know more about Kent.
He wasn’t about to make a mistake by calling the Hand when he didn’t know everything. Sothing told him turning Kent in would be bad for them, so he wanted to know, and if the ending were bad, he would handle that one too.
