"Kent, you're back." The mont the guards escorted Kent, Vexthra, and Princess Lovina into the hall, Elder Farra said, smiling at the brat.
She was much more beautiful now. Of course, this was because she had found herself in the most secure and enriching environnt. If anything, she was now free to focus on herself.
She had reached the peak of her cultivation and was also nearing perfect-level mastery of Chaos energy. Aside from firming her foundation, her ti was spent working on her appearance, as any woman would.
She might have looked old before coming to the tower, but now she was much more eye-catching.
Kent, of course, smiled from his soul, revealing the genuineness of his emotions, especially after spending fourteen hours in the loving arms of his two wives.
"I see negotiations are in order," Kent said, stepping forward. As he approached everyone, he introduced his wives.
"This is Vexthra. She is my wife and a very knowledgeable fairy when it cos to cultivation. Speaking with her is like speaking to a goddess," he smiled, then turned to Princess Lovina.
"This is Princess Lovina, one of the poison experts—if not the best poison expert—you will ever find in this world. She is also my wife, and I brought her here to take a look at your wife."
A flicker of emotion appeared on King Thalirion's face, wishing with his soul that Lovina would be able to save his wife. However, he held back and acted like a king first.
"Welco, fairies. This is Elarion, the land of the Half-Elves. These ten are my most trusted elders and the backbone of this kingdom."
King Thalirion then introduced everyone. When he was done, Kent and his wives sat beside Tribe Chief Malthar and his three elders.
"So, did you conclude the alliance?" Kent asked, and King Thalirion nodded.
"We agreed to their alliance and will announce it to the world alongside an auction we will be organizing. I know you gave us the Spirit Grape Fruit to help with our cultivation, but we can't give it to the 1.2 million Half-Elves living in Elarion. Therefore, we want to auction so and use the money to improve their lives.
I hope you don't mind us being a little greedy."
Kent smiled. "It is just a fruit. If you'd need more, just let know... But the auction and announcent of this alliance is a good thing. It will put you on the map, and from here onwards, you will start to soar as it should be."
Hearing Kent's words, the king and his elders smiled.
"Thank you, Kent," King Thalirion said before moving on to the next topic.
"Also, while it might not be polite to ask, we want to ask that you beco our guardian angel. We saw what you can do and how resourceful you are. We want to ask this of you.
Of course, we just want to use your na to deter others, considering words had already started about your feats an hour ago, and the fact that you killed Kenji, the Blade Whisperer.
Your na is now sharper than a well-sharpened sword, so you don't have to worry about us; your na will do more than that."
⟦A wise king. He knew when to get what he wanted without making it sound like he was desperate. That is a good ruler.⟧
Before Kent could speak, the Tower had already completed its analysis of the king's character. Kent smiled, both intrigued by how much the tower had learned from the three troublemakers he left inside the tower.
But the king had indeed asked Kent sothing he could not reject, not when they weren't asking him to raise his sword and fight for them.
They just wanted to use his na to deter those who might seek trouble with him.
Of course, they had no idea that all of this was exactly what Kent was after. The idea of becoming their guardian was one of the main reasons Kent didn't hesitate to be overly generous.
He needed the soul essence, and while the Foxkins were doing their best, he needed more than they were providing, so he could only work his magic and get what he wanted without asking for it.
'A race of over a million inhabitants. I say that will push my asteroid project up the tiline,' Kent said inwardly, then smiled at the king.
"Using my na is not a problem for . However, while you may not realize it, my role as your guardian angel is much more complex than you think. Of course, there is no harm in it, but the mont I accept the offer, you all will be connected to forever.
Do you want that?"
"We don't have a problem with that," the king answered imdiately, already pleased that Kent hadn't rejected them outright.
"I see. In that case, why don't we make it official?" Kent looked at the king and his elders and asked, "Do you want to beco your guardian?"
"Yes," they answered, and all ten elders nodded with him.
⟦Do you want to beco the guardian of the Elarion Half-Elves?⟧
'Yes.'
The mont Kent answered yes, the elders felt a protectiveness wash over them, just as the Foxkins did. All over Elarion, everyone suddenly felt so form of protectiveness enter their hearts.
The feeling was strange, but they felt as if they were shielded from the gravest danger...
Inside the palace hall, the king and his elders looked at Kent with surprised expressions. Kent just smiled. "No need to look surprised, everyone. What you felt was just a connection ford between us.
It will allow to know when you are in danger, and as the guardian of your people, I will be obligated to co and safeguard everyone. You wanted to beco your guardian angel, so I beca one."
The king and the elders nodded. "Thank you for becoming our guardian."
"Don't worry about it." Of course, Kent was more than happy, feeling the soul essence flood in like a wave. His asteroid was growing at an unprecedented rate.
"Now, can you take us to the queen... She has suffered enough."
