Elder Lance was clearly shocked when he finally noticed that Kent was a human.
He hadn’t paid much attention to anyone aside from Uncle Drake when he first arrived. But now that he did, he was shaken a little, for he was told no human had ever entered the Fla Tower since its ergence.
’Supre Elder Jian clearly said the humans regressed after the war, and so in the world of Sonox, the humans are trash. However, looking at this kid now, I don’t think that deduction about them is correct.
He looked calm, confident, and almost aloof despite staring in the eye. If I didn’t know better, I would say he is even more arrogant than the dragon from before.’

A small smile appeared on Elder Lance’s face. He was clearly proud that a fellow human would be entering the Fla Tower.
’I must ensure he makes it into the sect if he manages to comprehend just one fla technique regardless of the grade." With that thought, he gestured for Kent to ask his question.
Kent nodded with a smile playing on his lips. ’And the Oscar goes to Kent Madson.’
His act was bought, and now that he managed to find himself in the good books of Elder Lance, he could only look forward to what he had planned next.
"I want to ask," Kent began his question, "Let’s say I manage to climb to the third floor but can’t push any further. Can I co back down and try comprehending techniques on the second and first floors?"
"Of course you can. Provided you walked through a level, you can return later to try to comprehend the techniques it offers.
However, be warned: you have only three days to learn the technique. Don’t aim too high and end up losing everything."
Elder Lance saw Kent still had more questions, so he gestured for him to ask.
"Say I have a pill that will boost my cognitive strength, which in this way will enhance my comprehension speed. Am I allowed to use it while inside the tower?"

Every leader turned to the youngsters they would be sending into the Fla Tower and began giving them fine advice on how to gain the most from the 72 days they would stay inside the Fla Tower, left behind by an unknown immortal said to hold supre understanding of the fla.
Kent turned to the seven half-elves and the princess.
"This is it, guys," he smiled. "Entering the tower now ans you either open the path to your future or you blow it and co crashing on your face entirely.
However, I know you guys won’t co crashing. You have already gained more than enough to make it to at least the 4th floor."
The smiles on the faces of the half-elves faltered, hearing Kent’s unbelievable expectation. Though it sounded like a complint, they couldn’t shake the feeling that Kent truly wanted them to reach the 4th level.
Only four people ever made it there, and now, Kent wanted them to get there.
"Don’t frown. All the treasure you ate over the past week wasn’t for nothing. It was to prepare you for this mont. Soon, when you enter the tower, you will understand what I an.
Of course, I already told you to take the pill when you reach your breaking point. Trust , getting to the 4th floor should be a priority because it wouldn’t only be about learning techniques.
It would also help you enhance your fla resistance, improve your comprehension, and even temper your soul flas.
If you play your cards right, the techniques will beco a secondary thing to you. So trust in yourself and you will walk out smiling."
They nodded at his words. The past week inside the Fla Valley hadn’t been for nothing. Kent, who knew how important the Guardian hand was, had done his best to groom them.
In a way, he made sure he invested in them, and the mont they managed to walk out with their shoulders high, he would know his investnt was worth it.
Elder Lance watched Kent’s back as he talked to the half-elves like they were his team.
’Looks like his background isn’t simple. To be the one coaching the half-elves, it seems they hold him in high esteem.’
With that thought, he waited for the countdown to reach zero, when the giant gate opened wide, allowing a wave of infernal energy to gush out.
Everyone stepped back a few steps, feeling the intense heat. Kent felt the energy wash over his skin, and his body visibly shuddered excitedly.
A giant panel appeared, looking blank at the mont.
"You all can enter now. Know that your nas will be recorded here based on the number of techniques you master, the number of forms mastered, their grades, and the level you’ve reached.
As always, the sect will reward the race of the persons who manage to co up first, second, and third. That said, good luck and may you co out smiling."
With that signal, everyone started entering.
The dragons entered first, followed by the elves, then the beasts, demons, and dwarves. Kent held his token and turned to his pals.
"Good luck, everyone." With that, they all disappeared into the swirling infernal portal that took them to the first step of the Giant Hell Stairway, one of the Ancient immortal relics from the primordial era.
