Now reading: Chapter 185: Denial(11) from Prince of The Abyss, a Fantasy novel by M1hn3a.

A Sovereign... nothing special, just... the absolute height of power. Nothing powerful.

This... didn’t feel real.

After all, to understand the weight of this class, most humans and relics are stuck at the Harbinger rank. Humans, because of the whole thing with finding your Truth to challenge the world with. And relics just because of how rare they are. I an, finding relics in books are usally gotten from enemies, of course, it isn’t the only way, but it’s the most convenient since it also helps with progression in the story.

But to get a Relic of the Breaker rank, its extremly hard, since you have to fight an enemy of the Breaker rank. Most of the ti, there are tis when you can get one from weaker enemies, maybe even from a reader enemy.

It’s luck most of the ti.

But at the sa ti, many Harbinger have Breaker relics, even so Bearers, so maybe there was another thod he didn’t know about.

Now, for the Devourer class, while there have been found relics... humanity has not reached this class. The Breakers of the world have been stuck at the rank for longer than most of the world has been alive. It is said that they have reached Enlightennt a long ti ago, but they just can’t figure out how to challenge the Trial for Devouriality. Just like finding your Truth was a requirent for becoming a Breaker, there’s another for becoming a Devourer.

And it’s to be expected, after all, Devourers are people who have devoured the original truth of the world andthe Infinite Library, their truth is unchallenged. They are gods, or the closest things to becoming gods. They are Demi-Gods like Breakers are... but at the sa ti, it’s hard to call them gods... You could say they are weak Gods.

Now to the point he wanted to make, there is a whole rank between the wall humanity is stuck at and the rank of the relic he was staring at.

Sovereign is a rank above what humanity can comprehend; it is said the Gods created the class just so they could have one too. Not for any human or monster to reach. The Abyss, Praise, and the others are at the Sovereign level.

It’s when you have absolute control over the truth of the world, when your truth doesn’t rival the world’s anymore, but rather is stronger than it. The only thing that can go against it is another Sovereign’s truth.

When it cos to relics, you can count them on one hand, and probably still have fingers left, but that was from what he had learned from his master, since, of course, any information related to this kind of relics would be extrely secure and classified.

So how the hell did he get his hand on one?

He summoned it, and as it appeared, he got the sa feeling from before, the sa rage and familiarity he didn’t understand.

It was the sa rock; nothing had changed. Which was strange, since how was a rock the sa class as the Gods? The sa Gods who had created the Codex and the truth of the world.

And it didn’t even have a description; it was just question marks, like what should he get from that. That he wasnt supposed to learn about it? And what the heck was it doing in a mory from the Abyss? Did the Abyss also have this mory... well, it was definitely sothing he was going to have to ask.

It was a fragnt rank, so it only had an ability, which made it even more strange, and he knew that the rank didn’t matter that much, since a relic can just have a powerful ability, and still be better than one with so many.

For example, he didn’t want to talk badly about Voidpiercer, but it had a lot of ability, yet in his opinion, the earring he had gotten from the Queen was better.

Speaking of it, the Queen was a Breaker, and yet the relic he had gotten was a Harbinger, so it wasnt even written in stone that you would get one of the Breaker rank from killing one.

But still, that wasnt what was important right now.

He had a Sovereign relic in his hand. I think that was a little more important.

So even if it had an ability, it could be really powerful, yet... why was its na just question marks again?

Still, he had hope that the description would have words and that the ability would still be powerful even without a na.

’I really hope when its not going to be just question marks again.’

[???]- Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry, Cry.

’Aha...’

He knew he had said that he had learned to understand the aning in aningless words, but this was beyond his ability. What on earth was it trying to say? It was just a word repeated for... he wasn’t going to count, but a lot of tis.

Was it seeing him to cry to activate it? Was he supposed to cry on it? Or maybe he was supposed to shed tears on it?

’I don’t understand!’

He said, ruffling his hair.

Normally, he wouldn’t be this mad, but this was a Sovereign-class relic, in one of the Abyss’s mories; it was important, who knew what it was able to do. Maybe it could help him deal with the Abyss or sothing.

It was really important that he figured it out.

But he knew he couldn’t do it alone. He didn’t have enough knowledge of the past, particularly about the Abyss’s history. And while he had said he was going to question him about it, he has been quite lately, plus, he wasn’t sure he was even going to respond.

So he went with the second-best option.

...

..

.

The summit stood high, just like he rembered it. You would expect that from this height you could see the whole world, that was also what he first believed, but it wasnt the case. As looking down, you were blinded by a sea of clouds.

Really, he had said this the first ti, but it was ironic that you climb up to see the world better, to see it as a whole, and yet when you do reach the highest point, you can’t see anything anymore.

He hadn’t realized this before, but it... reminded him of real life a little.

The wind used to blow heavily, but now it was calm; it made him wonder if the wind was related to the rage of the blade. The more mad it was, the heavier the wind.

He really didnt want to co here, but he knew he was going to have to one day.

...

"What did I tell you, huh?"

Aether sighed, but chuckled. He knew this was what Voidpiercer was going to say, and really, he deserved it.

"I get it, let’s not talk about it anymore. I don’t want to hear anything related to the Rebellion. You were right, so now let’s get over it. I have sothing important."

Voidpiercer rolled its eyes, annoyed by his response. Last ti they had talked, the blade had warned him that the plan with the Rebellion was going to fail, but he didn’t listen, shutting it up.

So he knew he was mad at him.

"Maybe if you had listened-"

"I know, so just shut your mouth, i dont want to hear it anymore. I was an idiot, and I know that, so just shut our damn mouth already and listen."

Voidpiercer remained with his mouth open. The blade had been caught off guard by his outrage. But he had to shut it up. After all, he wasnt here to listen to his previous mistakes.

..."Of course... after denial cos anger."

"Huh?" Aether tilted his head to the side.

"Nothing, so what do you want? If it’s my rage than just leave."

Aether sighed, relieved that he could finally get to the point.

"Well, no, but it would have been a nice addition."

He summoned the rock, holding it in front of him.

"I wanted to know if you knew anything about this rock."

As Voidpiercer’s eyes locked onto the relic, he paled, freezing in place, almost like he had shown him sothing terrible.

After a whole second, the blade regained itself, clearing its throat. But its voice was shaky, as if he was still nervous and shocked from seeing the relic.

"Where... where did you get that?"

Aether smiled, seeing the look on the blade’s face, which made Voidpiercer realize he had ssed up.

"So you do know sothing."
