After the car stopped, the two little buns alighted from it and ran into the place without needing their mother’s guidance.
Since this was a private nursing home, people who could e here were either rich or powerful. Thus, every patient’s ‘ward’ was a separate dwelling.
Pei Ge shook her head in amusement at the sight of the two kids walking with pep in their steps.
She trailed after them into her mother’s separate ward with the man once he was done parking the car.
Before the two got to her mother’s ward, they could already hear the children talking to her.
“Grandma, we have a daddy now!”

“Really? You have a daddy now?”
She turned to look at Ji Ziming teasingly upon hearing the voices ing from the ward.
“Do you think my mom will be shocked to see you?”
“Maybe”
The corners of the man’s lips twitched, and he moved to say something, but his expression morphed upon hearing Zhang Manhua’s follow-up question.
“Could it be that Egger has succeeded in wooing your mother?”
She was taken aback at first by her mother’s guess, but when she saw his face contorting, she could not help herself from sniggering behind her hand.
“No, no! Uncle isn’t our daddy! Our daddy is way more handsome than he is!”
The man, who was feeling unhappy about Zhang Manhua’s words, felt better upon hearing the two’s words.
Pei Ge could no longer hold in her laughter when she saw his expression changing.
Her laughter attracted the attention of the ones inside the room.
“Mommy!”
“Mommy!”
Hearing the children’s call, she stopped listening outside and walked into the room while holding the man’s hand.
“Mom!”
She called her mother softly as she entered the room.
The man followed suit.
Her mother was stunned to see Ji Ziming; she was also shocked to hear him call her ‘mom’.
“Y-You… Why are you with Ge Ge?!”
She widened her eyes in disbelief at him.
“What are you doing here?!”
Seeing them holding hands intimately, the older woman had a shocking conjecture. “Are you perhaps the daddy mentioned by An An and Ran Ran?!”
She felt faint all of a sudden, not having expected the father whom the two buns were referring to be this young chap who had dumped her daughter way back!
“That’s right, grandma; this is our daddy!”
The grandkids vied to answer the question before her daughter could.
She shot her daughter a confused look when she heard that reply.
“Ge Ge, what is going on here?”
Pei Ge was well aware that her mother disliked this man because he had been missing from her side all these years.
Therefore, she had to choose her words carefully before answering. “Mom, it’s like this…”
