Pursued by the Top Grade Saintess after Engagement Annulled Chapter 606 - 602: Vanquishing the Resentful Beast, The Trou
After Xia Feng saw the exposed scene, even he was scared into a cold sweat.
Ahead, not far from where he stood, was a place where resentnt gathered, and many Resentful Beasts were lurking inside. They had even vaguely ford a Devouring Array, intending to swallow up Xia Feng’s Divine Power just like how he consud Death Qi.
If Xia Feng were to step into this eerie place without overwhelming Attack Power, he feared that his Cultivation might be absorbed by the resentnt.
His eyes carried a hint of ruthless intensity mixed with the lingering fear of surviving a catastrophe. He stared stubbornly at the cluster of resentnt, pondering how to solve these hellish things.
The resentnt here was distinctly different from that in God Burial Valley. Although not as dense as the resentnt in the valley, it had developed a hint of Spiritual nature, even daring to use Death Qi to sche against Xia Feng.
If left unchecked, who knows what else might happen. Xia Feng hesitated only for a mont before he began to shake the God-Burying Bell on his wrist.
Sonic Attacks are quite sharp against entities without consciousness, or even without a physical form.
The mont the bell rang, the resentnt on the opposite side thinned, and the Resentful Beasts inside seed to lose all ability to resist.
Xia Feng, always cautious by nature, did not rashly enter the opponent’s territory even though the Resentful Beasts seed severely weakened. Instead, he continued to shake the God-Burying Bell on his wrist.
The repeated bell sounds caused the resentnt opposite him to thin even more, and the Resentful Beasts began to lose their coherent forms.
Even so, Xia Feng did not approach. Instead, he remained vigilant, wary of a counterattack from the resentnt.
He had killed hundreds, if not thousands, of Resentful Beasts before, and naturally understood that such beings were not easy to weaken.
Even if the resentnt thinned until it was almost invisible, it was still enough for the Resentful Beasts to regroup their forms.
As long as the resentnt hadn’t fully dissipated, the Resentful Beasts could be considered almost immortal.
Now presenting such a weak appearance was just an attempt to lure Xia Feng over. Seeing that Xia Feng wasn’t falling for it, the remaining resentnt converged into a mass and began to manipulate the Resentful Beasts to fall apart.
The severed limbs were infused with new resentnt and began to reassemble, forming a bizarrely shaped, twisted creature.
The newly ford Resentful Beast’s body was several tis larger than before and possessed the Cultivation of a Second Grade Main God Realm, continually shrouded in resentnt.
Whether it was Xia Feng’s illusion or not, he felt that after the Resentful Beast ford, new resentnt continued to seep from its strange torso, continuously reinforcing its body, making it even harder to contend with.
Xia Feng’s Storage Ring flashed, and the Heaven-Burying Sword swiftly leaped into his right hand, its blade directly aid at the Resentful Beast before him.
Whether illusion or not, Xia Feng felt that the Heaven-Burying Sword seed more excited than usual when dealing with Resentful Beasts.
Without worrying about these trifling details, once the Heaven-Burying Sword was in hand, Xia Feng imdiately swung it at the Resentful Beast in front of him.
Knowing that Resentful Beasts could corrode ordinary Great Dao Divine Power, he didn’t bother to switch power, instead directly attaching a layer of Star Power to the Heaven-Burying Sword and cutting at the Resentful Beast before him.
As soon as the Star Power landed on the Resentful Beast, it emitted a sizzling corrosive sound, and the Resentful Beast, who should not have felt pain, began to howl frantically as if in extre agony.
Xia Feng squinted his eyes and took the opportunity to stab the Resentful Beast several more tis, causing it to spew layers of black mist that gathered into an enormous hand reaching towards Xia Feng.
The Great Dao of Life within him surged, forming a green, tree-like Illusion that pierced a hole through the giant hand.
A strange red glow began to spread across the Resentful Beast’s body, accelerating its movents significantly.
Just as Xia Feng was bracing for another vicious attack, the mass of resentnt wrapped around the Resentful Beast darted toward the heap of Death Gods, trying to escape.
Even though the Death Gods lacked consciousness, they still sensed the trouble Xia Feng represented. As he charged forward, they began to flee frantically, exposing the Resentful Beast.
After Xia Feng swiftly dealt with the Resentful Beast, the surrounding Death Gods dared not move, fearing Xia Feng would target them next.
Xia Feng disinterestedly dispatched a portion of the Death Gods, harvested a batch of Hearts of Death, and, uninterested in lingering in the Netherworld, retracted the Heaven-Burying Sword and prepared to leave.
The remaining Death Gods stood far away as he moved, evidently worried that Xia Feng might turn around and kill another group with a flick of his wrist.
Xia Feng snorted lightly, left following the path he ca from, and before departing, devoured a considerable amount of Death Qi to store within the Divine Fire Platform.
Although he didn’t currently possess anything like a Celestial God Demon Heart to activate this Death Qi, the Great Dao of Death was still a path. It’s rely unpracticable for the living due to the need to draw Death Qi into the body.
He already bore more than a dozen Great Daos, so having one more as a precaution wasn’t a bad idea. One day he might obtain sothing enabling him to manipulate this Death Qi.
It was only about ten days from Xia Feng’s entry into the Netherworld to dealing with the Resentful Beast and departing. At first, the prodigies were wary, thinking Xia Feng had gone in to seize points.
But as ti passed and the surrounding Death Gods grew stronger, these prodigies were exhausted just dealing with those erging from the whirlpools.
Many were pessimistic about Xia Feng’s recklessness, thinking he couldn’t possibly survive such an environnt.
The most boastful prodigy initially fighting Death Gods kept an eye on the whirlpool, becoming increasingly smug and arrogant as ti wore on.
"Haha, that kid’s just made a rod for his own back. If he’d just killed Death Gods outside, with his skills, he might have ranked among the top few."
"But he had to arrogantly charge into the depths of Death Canyon, thinking he’s so great hero. Now he’s neither dead nor alive inside, and no one knows his fate."
His voice wasn’t quiet, and Li Qingxue happened to pass by, hearing his bombastic words, her face turned cold, unwilling to tolerate it further, drawing the Snow Fall Sword and slashing towards him.
However, this prodigy was at Fifth Grade True God Cultivation. The mont Li Qingxue’s Sword Qi descended, he shivered and rolled twice on the ground, evading the attack.
Seeing who had struck, his expression shifted slightly: "Is Goddess Qingxue planning to provoke a war between the Celestial Sword Divine Domain and the Purple Thunder Divine Domain?"
