"Tch I can't even answer this one" Stannis grumbled as the penalty for wrong answer is not being able to answer next two questions.
[THE THRONE ROOM]
[CERSEI and TOMN sit in the dark on the Iron Throne.]
"No one's going to hurt you. I'll tell you a story. You know the one about the mother lion and her little cub? They lived in the woods."
"The Kingswood?"
"I do like that story" Tomn mumbled.
"Yes, my love. In the Kingswood, there lived a mother and her cub. She loved him very much. But other things lived in the woods. Evil things."
"Like what?"
"Like stags."
Robert and Renly snorted. No subtlety.
"Stags aren't evil. They only eat grass."
"And wolves."
This ti the Starks snorted for the sa reason.
[Another wave of soldiers approaches from the shore. So are mounted.]
"He could hear them howling in the night. The little cub was frightened. His mother said, You are a lion, my son. You mustn't be afraid."
[STANNIS looks down from his perch. The mounted soldiers attack.]
Stannis leaned forward. So far the battle has been very push and pull, at an equilibrium almost. He needed to do sothing to win the tide in his favour now or he'd lose.
"For one day, all the beasts will bow to you. You will be king. All the stags will bow. All the wolves will bow. The bears in the north and the foxes of the south, all the birds in the sky and the beasts in the sea, they will all co to you, little lion, to rest a crown upon your head."
"And the cub said, Will I be strong and fierce like my father?"
[CERSEI uncorks the vial she holds.]
"No," Jai said in horror. With the circumstances at hand... that could only be one thing.
Myrcella seed to co to the sa conclusion and held her brother close in a hug.
"Yes, said his mother. You will be strong and fierce just like your father."
[CERSEI presents the vial for TOMN to drink.]
"Foolish woman!" Jai roared in anger and fear for his son. She couldn't do this, Cersei could not do this to his son!
Joanna coaxed him back to sit.
"She is afraid and wishes to save her son from a worse fate" she whispers to her son.
"She will kill him!" Jai hissed.
"A painful death compared to whatever Stannis would have in mind for him" Joanna argued. She understood the fears of a mother more than her son did and saw the reason in it more than her son did.
Jai grits his teeth and slams his fists on the arm of his chair.
Tomn leaned forward to sneak a peek at Jai before leaning back in his seat again.
Myrcella though was sneaking a peek. She was plainly staring at the man.
"I will keep you safe, my love. I promise you."
[The chamber door bursts open and CERSEI and TOMN stand. Soldiers march in. LORAS TYRELL takes off his helt.]
"Loras?" Sansa asked in confusion.
Olenna on the other hand snorted.
"They convinced us to pick a side" Olenna muttered.
The realisation ca to all that understood war. Especially Stannis who knew the balance was tipped. The battle was lost.
[THE HARBOR SHORE]
[The Baratheon forces are in retreat. n grab STANNIS and restrain him.]
"No!"
"Not even your heathen of a god could give you a victory" Renly taunted.
Stannis was silent, gripping the arm of his chair tightly.
Renly snorted at that.
"Beca a Kinslayer for nothing" he muttered and looked away.
[THE THRONE ROOM]
[TYWIN enters.]
"Father."
[She drops the vial, spilling its deadly contents. The vial shatters.]
"The battle is over. We have won."
Jai let out a shuddering breath and finally relaxed. The battle was won, his family would live to see another day.
Wrong answer by Varys, he loses the next two chances to answer the question.
Congratulation to Margaery Tyrell for the right answer she gets Twilight healing sacred gear and the instinct of using it.
For the next few seconds Maragaery's body glows in green light and as the light dims no one finds anything different in her but by this ti everyone knew that the rewards by the system were anything but hoax.
Jon Snow however knew exactly how powerful Twilight healing sacred gear is after all he did watch Highschool dxd in his previous life. Although it can't regenerate limbs or cure sickness or exhaustion it still is able to heal any fatal I jury as long you still have breath in your body.
Jon doesn't know if Margaery can reach the sa level as Asia Argento where she could create a healing field to heal a lot of allies or healing arrows used to heal and ally from a distance but maybe if he helps her she could develop it in her own way.
"Maragaery do you know how to use this ability?" Olenna asked
"Yes grandmother, with this I can heal Willas and he wouldn't need his cna anymore" Margaery Tyrell said with a bright smile on his face.
"Oh, my that's really a great reward." Olenna Tyrell said
Oberyn Martell heard the two won talk and also felt relieved that Willas won't be a cripple anymore because it was against him that Willas got injured in jousting.
The Lannisters were relaxed now. Stannis' forces were repelled, they'd managed to keep their hold on the capital and throne, and they had powerful allies on their side.
The very sa reasons made Stannis want to pull out whatever hair he had remaining. He never liked Mace Tyrell, and always found him to be a man with little loyalty to anyone who didn't have an angle in his favour, regardless of whether that was the right thing or not. If not for his n, he would have taken King's Landing. He would have been crowned King.
Stannis looked back to stare at the two Tyrells in the Hall. Neither stared back at him.
[KING'S LANDING]
[LORD TYRION LANNISTER wakes to echos of the sounds of battle. GRAND MAESTER PYCELLE's face cos into focus. TYRION's head is crudely bandaged, with only one eye revealed. He is disoriented.]
"Oh I survived again" Tyrion said, half in relief and half in a joking manner.
"You're like a roach, brother. Hard to kill" Jai teased.
Tyrion rolled his eyes.
"Would you like sothing for the pain?"
"What happened?"
"The murderer and traitor Stannis Baratheon suffered a stunning defeat at the hands of your father."
Stannis grits his teeth. Lickspittle.
"Where am I?"
"These are your new chambers. A little cramped, perhaps, but you don't need much room, do you? You are no longer the Hand of the King."
"He loves that little fact" Jai cackled.
"I'll shave his beard off" Tyrion grunted in displeasure.
[PYCELLE turns and begins to leave. A thought occurs to him. He takes out a coin and flicks it to TYRION.]
"Oh, For your trouble."
Jai burst out laughing, as did a few more people who appreciated the tit-for-tat mont.
Tyrion was not one of these few n and won.
