Again Rickard grunted his approval. Catelyn had a steady head on her when she didn't let emotions cloud her judgent.
"Let accompany you at least. The Kingsroad can be a dangerous place for a woman alone."
"What about Bran?"
"I have prayed to the Seven for more than a month. Bran's life is in their hands now."
"And Rickon? Are you going to leave him without explaining what's going on?" Lyanna raised an eyebrow.
"He is too young to understand these things" Catelyn argued.
"He isn't too young to understand that his mother is leaving him to go sowhere. Tell him at least that you won't be there for a while. The child deserves that much at least" Lyanna pointed out.
Catelyn frowned and nodded her head. The woman had a point.
[Scene changes to The Lannisters, travelling Starks and all royal guards who have stopped for the evening to rest on their way to King's Landing.]
"Pardon , Ser."
"Do I frighten you so much, girl? Or is it him there making you shake? He frightens too. Look at that face."
"I would be shaken by him as well" Lyanna turned her attention to her eldest niece, smiling kindly at her.
Sansa smiled back, a little relieved that only she did not feel uncomfortable by the man.
"I'm sorry if I offended you, Ser."
[Ser llyn walks away.]
"Why won't he speak to ?"
"He hasn't been very talkative these last 20 years. Since the mad King had his tongue ripped out with hot pincers."
"Why did he do that?!" Arya asked in shock and disgust.
"Ser llyn was the captain of the guard for my father when he served as Hand of the King for King Aerys II Targaryen. Ilyn was overheard saying it was my father who truly ruled the Seven Kingdoms, rather than Aerys. The King did not take it kindly"
"That's dumb. What good are words? He's still King and nobody could have changed that" Arya argued.
Tyrion smiled.
"Kings do not have thoughts like us child. They take offence in the smallest and most insignificant things" the half-man explained.
Robert coughed, glaring at Tyrion when he looked at the fat man.
"Except you, of course, my good brother. You're not like those Targaryens after all."
Robert looked satisfied while Arya shook her head at Tyrion's smirk.
"He speaks damn well with his sword though. Ser llyn Payne, the King's justice. The royal executioner. What is it, sweet lady? Does the hound frighten you? Away with you, dog. You're scaring my lady. I don't like to see you upset. The sun is finally shining. Co walk with ."
"He is a sweet talker" Elia mused out loud.
"All that sweetness to hide what's inside him" Tyrion shook his head with a scowl.
[Sansa turns to her Direwolf.]
'Stay, Lady. I probably shouldn't have any more. Father only lets us have one cup at feasts."
"My princess can drink as much as she wants. Don't worry... You're safe with ."
[In a field next to a river, off from where everyone else is.]
"I'll get you!"
Arya's eyes lit up. She made a friend! And he was willing to play with her.
"Arya!"
[Arya turned to Sansa and Joffrey]
"What are you doing here? Go away."
"Your sister? And who are you, boy?"
"This will not end well will it" Daenerys whispered and Jon shook his head.
"Mycah, my Lord."
"He's the butcher's boy."
"He's my friend."
Arya and Sansa shared a look, neither of them happy.
"A butcher's boy who wants to be a Knight, eh? Pick up your sword, butcher's boy. Let's see how good you are."
"She asked to, my Lord. She asked to."
"I'm your prince, not your lord, and I said pick up your sword."
"It's not a sword, my prince. It's only a stick."
"Why is he bullying him?" Arya scowled.
"Maybe he should have known his place and not played a Knight" Sansa snapped.
"Girls" Catelyn hissed in a warning and both of them looked away from each other.
"And you're not a Knight. Only a butcher's boy. That was my lady's sister you were hitting, do you know that?"
"Stop it!"
"Arya, stay out of this."
"No, stand up for him" Lyanna turned to Sansa, "A knight can co from anywhere. A good knight can co from nothing, like Ser Duncan the Tall. And a bad knight can co from prestige and wealth, like Ser Jai Lannister."
Jai bristled at the insult. What did she know about the good he had done? What did any of them know?
"I won't hurt him... Much."
[Arya throws a rock at Joffrey.]
"You shouldn't have done that" Margaery winced. Things were going to end terribly.
"Filthy little bitch!"
"No no, stop it, stop it, both of you. You're spoiling it. You're spoiling everything!"
"Ruining what exactly?" Robb gave his sister a look.
"Everything" Sansa whispered, but did not specify what 'everything' ant.
"I'll gut you, you little cunt!"
"Such strong language" Oberyn whistled.
"Arya!"
[Arya then steps in and fights with Joffrey, disarming him and putting him on his back.]
"That's the heir to the Iron Throne?" Brandon's brows raised in shock and amusent. "He got disard by a girl! - I ant an untrained girl, gods Lyanna" the man muttered, rubbing her side where his sister had elbowed him.
[Her direwolf sees this as a threat and runs in to defend.]
"Nyria!"
"Please don't"
"Arya, leave him alone. My prince, my poor prince, look what they did to you. Stay here, I'll go back to the inn and bring help."
"Then go! Don't touch ."
[A hunt has begun for the direwolf that attacked Joffrey.]
Soldier 1: The wolf's not here. Look down by the stream.
[Arya hidden from everyone telling her direwolf to leave.]
"You've got to go. They'll kill you for what you did to Joffrey. Go on... run. Go! Leave now!"
[Nyria stares at Arya.]
"Go!"
[Nyria rushes off.]
"Poor pup" Lyanna whispered. All she tried to do was help her mistress. She only hoped that her niece would be okay.
[Scene changes to the Inn where everyone is staying. Arya rushes to Ned when he walks in.]
"I'm sorry."
"Are you hurt?"
"No."
"It's all right."
[He turns to the King.]
"What is the aning of this? Why was my daughter not brought to at once?"
"You're lucky the king is Robert. Anyone else and you'd be without a head for speaking like that" Rickard grunted, eyeing his stiff son. But then again what was he being a hypocrite for? He had done the sa thing for Brandon. Damned Wolf's blood.
Q. What decision will Robert Baratheon take?
A) Punish Arya for hurting the prince
B) Punish Joffery for lying
C) No one will be punished and this matter will end here
D) A direwolf will be killed as punishnt
