Jessica’s POV

I glance at the shirtless man lying next to , his chest rising and falling with steady breaths.

Too easy.

I knew Jiang Wei would fall into my bed without hesitation, but even I didn’t expect it to happen this fast.

The great Jiang Wei—beloved star, golden boy of the industry—reduced to just another man in my sheets.

I watch him for a mont, eyes drifting over his V-line, sculpted abs, and perfectly relaxed features.

He really is handso.

I can almost understand why won chase after him.

Almost.

But let’s be real. No man, no matter how good-looking, is better than money.

I sigh, stretching as I slide out of bed.

Maybe when I hit thirty, I’ll do what so of my friends did—latch onto a billionaire or a politician.

One of them even beca a First Lady.

Her husband is an absolute idiot, but does that matter? She lives in a palace now.

I should ask her to introduce to soone.

For now, though—this little entertainnt is more than enough.

I step into the shower, letting the hot water wash away the night, then dry off and slip into my clothes.

Before I leave, I grab a sticky note and scribble down a little ssage.

---

Jiang Wei’s POV

I stretch my arms lazily across the luxurious hotel bed, rolling onto my side—only to feel nothing but empty space.

My brows furrow slightly as I blink awake, the lingering haze of sleep making my movents sluggish.

Where—?

I reach out blindly, fumbling for my phone on the nightstand.

My fingers brush against sothing unexpected.

A sticky note attached to my phone.

I squint, reading the playful, looping script.

> Had a runway show in Paris. Text when you’re awake. xoxo

A red kiss mark stains the bottom.

I stare at the note for a mont, then—I smile.

Of course.

This is so Jessica.

She’s like the wind, slipping through fingers before you even realize she’s gone.

No expectations.

No strings.

Just two people enjoying each other.

For once, I feel like just a guy.

Not a celebrity.

Not an industry powerhouse.

Not soone constantly fighting against expectations.

Just a man, with a woman, having fun.

And, damn—what fun.

I chuckle, stretching my limbs, my body still sore in the best way.

I’ve never been knocked out like that before.

Jessica is... sothing else.

Flexible, tireless, ridiculously skilled.

She had stamina that made question my own fitness level.

How the hell did she wake up so early after all that?

I shake my head, finally checking my phone.

Multiple missed ssages.

My assistant is definitely pissed.

Right.

I did kind of disappear without telling anyone.

I sigh, throwing off the covers and getting out of bed.

I need to get to set before she actually kills .

***

Jessica’s POV

I lied about the photoshoot.

There was no last-minute trip to Paris, no runway show.

I needed to orchestrate this eting.

I take a slow sip of my cocktail, savoring the sweetness of the drink as I stand on the luxurious hotel balcony. Below , the city lights glitter like a thousand fallen stars. The skyline stretches into the horizon, a breathtaking view that would leave most people in awe.

But I’m not most people.

My entertainnt for tonight isn’t the view. It’s inside.

I step back into the lavish suite, where three won sit at opposite ends of the room.

A scene straight out of an old historical drama.

Lin yu, the beloved actress. Regal, refined, known for her grace and multiple awards. She sits in an armchair, legs crossed, her face impassive.

The heiress. Wealthy, privileged, breathtakingly beautiful. She’s perched on the bed, her nails tapping against her knee in quiet impatience.

And then, of course—

The assistant. The odd one out. Standing by the wall, arms crossed, radiating tension. She doesn’t belong in a room like this, with won like this.

I stroll forward, dragging a chair into the center of the room before settling into it with a deliberate, leisurely grace.

"I bet you’re all wondering why I called you here."

Silence.

Tough crowd.

I smile.

"Let’s cut to the chase, shall we? All of us here have one thing in common." I lean forward, crossing my legs.

"A certain handso man with a killer smile and a gorgeous body."

The air tightens.

Jaws clench.

Expressions stiffen.

Ah. There it is.

That beautiful, simring tension.

"I wanted to be the first to tell you—I’m not leaving him." I flick my hair over my shoulder, watching their reactions closely.

Lin yu’s lips press into a thin line. The heiress’s fingers still against her lap. The assistant’s fists curl at her sides.

Perfect.

"He’s amazing in bed." I sigh dramatically, running a manicured finger along the rim of my cocktail glass.

"I love spending ti with him. He makes laugh. So I’m here to inform you—" I pause, letting the words settle.

"You can leave him."

Silence.

A beat.

Then—

"What do you an, leave him?"

The voice cos from the manager.

Ah. Not the one I was expecting to speak up first.

I barely glance at her. "Oh, sweetheart, you weren’t the one I was waiting to hear from. You kind of have no opinion here."

She stiffens.

I turn my attention to the other two won.

"The only two people in this room that truly matter are the heiress and our darling actress."

I gesture toward them lazily.

"One of them is going to be Mrs. Jiang soday. I didn’t even know he actually looked at you like that..." I pause, turning to the assistant.

"No offense."

The heiress scoffs.

"Then why am I here?" she asks through gritted teeth.

I raise a brow.

"Don’t be hurt. I an, amongst all three of us, you are... well..." I trail off, smirking as I take another sip of my drink.

"But you do manage his schedule, don’t you?" I continue smoothly.

"You have to accommodate all of our schedules with him—so that we don’t... clash."

The assistant’s eyes widen slightly.

I lower my voice, watching as the weight of my words sinks in.

"These past two weeks, I’ve monopolized his ti. I apologize." I flick my gaze between Lin yu and the heiress.

"But I’ll be busy soon. That is... unless soone else decides to step aside."

I glance at them, watching the way they sit rigidly in place.

The heiress avoids my gaze.

Lin yu?

She ets my eyes dead on.

Fascinating.

Jiang Wei, what exactly did you do to make these won this devoted?

"And you’re not gunning to marry him?" Lin yu finally asks, voice calm, asured.

I let out a soft laugh.

"Are you insane? It’s been two weeks. I’m just here for fun."

I pause, tilting my head.

"Unlike you three, I’m not in love with him."

The room grows colder.

I smile. "Maybe that’ll change in the future. Maybe I’ll join the race for Mrs. Jiang. But for now? My first love is work."

"I’m not playing along with this farce."

The assistant’s voice trembles with barely restrained anger.

I sigh, shaking my head.

I didn’t want to do this.

But business is business.

"Listen," I say, voice lowering. "Amongst all four of us, you are the most replaceable."

Her breathing hitches.

"If I whisper sothing in his ear," I murmur, leaning in slightly.

"If they whisper sothing in his ear... you’re gone."

I let the threat settle.

"If you want to keep your job—and your proximity to your little crush—you’ll shut up and behave."

The assistant’s hands shake.

She whips her head toward the other two.

"Are you going to listen to her?!" she practically yells.

The heiress exhales, inspecting her nails.

"She’s got a point."

Then—

With a slow, deliberate motion—

She looks up.

And flips her hair.

"There’s a vast difference between you and us," she says smoothly. "And Wei." She chuckles softly.

"It’s... plain embarrassing that you think you’re on the sa level. Insulting, even."

I take a sip of my drink, hiding my smirk.

Ah.

So this is what emperor’s harems were like.

*

I watch as the three won leave.

And then—I wait.

Wait for the explosion.

Because it will co.

CEO Han asked to stir the pot.

And I have.

The heiress and Lin yu? They’ll start seeing each other as competitors.

The assistant?

Her insecurities and low self-esteem will push her toward reckless decisions.

This is what people don’t understand.

It’s never about the man.

It’s about the competition.

At so point, Jiang Wei will stop being the man they love and beco a prize they refuse to lose.

Because in the end—there is nothing a woman hates more than another woman winning.

And ?

I just lit the match.

Good luck, my sweet Jiang Wei.
