Li Ge didn’t know how she ended up agreeing to go to the North Pole with Ye Qiu, maybe it was because she had no reason to say no!

She told herself to take things as they co. Standing on the deck, she inhaled the biting cold wind, gazed at the boundless ocean and the distant white icebergs. Her thoughts were incredibly calm, as if all her worries had vanished.

It must be said, this trip is really worth it!

She turned around and found Ye Qiu standing right behind her. She didn’t know when he had co, but once she realized, he had been smilingly gazing at her.

"Almost there, but the climate is too cold. We might only stay here for a few days. After three days, we’ll head back to Iceland, where we can stay longer," Ye Qiu stepped forward, shoulder to shoulder with her.

Actually, he wanted to hold her in his arms even more, but they were both wearing a lot, and even with his long arms, it wouldn’t be romantic.

"I know, just being able to co makes very happy," Li Ge blinked her clear eyes at him, and finally, the barriers between them were gone.

Looking at her like this, Ye Qiu couldn’t resist taking off his mask and gently kissed her frost-coated eyelashes.

Li Ge felt her heart nearly stop amid the cold weather. She slightly closed her eyes, but her lips curled up into a slight smile.

"Let’s go inside. You’ve been outside too long. I made so fish soup to warm you up."

"Okay."

When they headed into the cabin, the casual captain and several crew mbers whistled at them, "Ye, well done!"

"Congratulations! Are you not celebrating by cooking more dishes?" The foreign captain said greedily.

Everyone could see Ye Qiu’s pursuit and Li Ge’s change, so they started teasing. But they were mostly interested in Ye Qiu’s culinary skills.

Chinese culture is extensive and profound, and during this ti, these foreigners had been completely won over by Ye Qiu. They couldn’t comprehend how, with the sa ingredients, they only knew to make a simple salad or roast, boil them. Before tasting Ye Qiu’s dishes, they never thought the canned goods and burgers they brought were unappetizing.

But once they succumbed to the aroma and tried it, they couldn’t stop. They didn’t understand how, even with the sa stewing thod, there could be such a difference in taste.

According to the old captain’s philosophy, this is God-given food, and only ancient Hua Country people possess such culinary skills. He also ntioned that Hua Country people like Ye Qiu tend to hide their skills.

Like Feng Shui, like Chinese dicine, and what he recently learned — Hua Country people have a tradition of burning paper money for deceased family mbers at specific tis every year. It’s heard that the more money burned, the better the fortune they receive.

Upon hearing this, the old captain tried it imdiately, finding it effective. He burned paper money for his long-deceased father and also burned a paper model of his father’s favorite brand-na car. Since then, his shipping business thrived, and for the first ti, he won two small prizes.

From then on, the old captain’s view of Hua Country people was greatly elevated. He often asked Ye Qiu what other amazing skills they had that foreigners didn’t know about.

For this, Ye Qiu was often exasperated, but the journey was slow, with not much more than oceans and icebergs for entertainnt, so he simply started telling stories of strange events in Hua Country history.

These strange tales were supported by wild tales and he narrated them convincingly, not only impressing the foreigners but also attracting Li Ge with his vast knowledge.

This made her feel she was discovering a new side of Ye Qiu. She always knew Ye Qiu was impressive, but didn’t know he was this talented, not just able to connect history and myth but making it captivating.

If she wasn’t a firm materialist, she might have been taken in by him.

But the foreigners weren’t as lucky. After listening to Ye Qiu’s stories daily, they declared they must visit Hua Country once in their lifeti and insisted Ye Qiu be their guide.

"How about we have hotpot next?" Ye Qiu looked at the amused crowd, slightly smiling.

"Ye Qiu, didn’t you say there was no hotpot base left? You big liar," the old captain rebuked him.

Ye Qiu shrugged, "If I hadn’t said that, would you still have so to eat now?"

The old captain was speechless, feeling a bit stuffed, but only for about ten seconds, before happily discussing his favorite ingredients for hotpot, specifying that no one should snatch his beef and shrimp paste.

"Ye, you Hua Country people are truly amazing. How did you think of slicing beef so thinly? And cooked, it isn’t tough at all. Forget beef steaks; I want them all cut for hotpot. Even the shrimp paste is incredible. Only you would think of such a delightful preparation." The old captain marveled.

"If not limited by location, you could eat even better. You know, the best hotpot ingredients aren’t beef and shrimp paste, but tripe and yellow throat. That’s the ultimate enjoynt—crunchy and tender, absorbing enough broth. Tom, trust , you’d love those two." Ye Qiu tempted them, "But alas, in this icy land filled with only what we brought, we have to make do."

"There’s sothing even tastier than beef and shrimp paste? And this is just making do?" Old Tom widened his eyes, eager to set sail imdiately and head straight to Hua Country.

"There you go, teasing them again." Seeing the foreigners’ antics over a hotpot made Li Ge chuckle and roll her eyes at him.

Ye Qiu looked back innocently, seeming to say, "Am I wrong?"

Li Ge had nothing to say but retaliated, "You expend a lot of energy in the polar regions. I don’t care about you eating now, but must you work out when we return."

Upon hearing this, Ye Qiu leaned close to her ear and chuckled, "What, afraid I’ll eat away my eight-pack abs?"

Li Ge’s face turned red instantly, "What are you talking about?"

"Oh? Isn’t it because of this? Rest assured; the abs are still there. If you don’t believe it, you can check yourself in my room tonight." Ye Qiu said nonchalantly.

"You’re really..." Li Ge huffed, standing up, then ran back to her room.

But once she returned, she couldn’t help but think back. In a past life, Ye Qiu always made ti to work out despite being busy, and what she loved most was his rmaid line.

Thinking of those scenes, Li Ge couldn’t help but blush and frustratingly pound the bed. Was it really loneliness for too long? Lately, she often thought of those things due to his occasional flirting.
