"Old Hua, long ti no see. What goods have you brought back this ti?" In a shady trading post at a dirty street corner on Rebellion Star, Big Beard called out loudly while drinking a strong liquor.
"Take a look, quite a beauty, isn’t she?" Old Hua moved aside, revealing Qin Shu who was tied up behind him.
"Yo!" Big Beard’s eyes lit up, "Nice piece of rchandise. What, are you starting to get into this business too?"
"Soone offered a good price. This girl has so backing, make sure she doesn’t escape," Old Hua explained to him in detail.
Waving his hand nonchalantly, Big Beard said, "Hey, once they’re in my place, I’m not afraid of them turning the world upside down. Even if she were the president’s daughter, she couldn’t flip out of the palm of my hand."
Naturally, Old Hua knew of Big Beard’s capabilities and said nothing more, taking the hefty reward and leaving without looking back.
Even though Qin Shu was bound, her consciousness was clear. Seeing Big Beard’s ill-intended smile, she struggled in fear, but unfortunately, her mouth was gagged, making it impossible to call for help—not that it would make any difference here.
"Boss, how should we deal with her?" A slimy, skinny runt obsequiously asked.
Big Beard pushed aside Qin Shu’s disheveled hair, his rough fingers caressing her fair cheeks lovingly, while he spoke lewdly, "Such exquisite rchandise, how many years has it been since we last had soone like this on Rebellion Star? Get her a drink, clean her up and then bring her to my room."
"But boss, what about the brothers?" The runt hesitated, his greedy eyes also fixated on Qin Shu, his lustful gaze as if intending to strip her bare.
"Don’t worry," Da Hua replied with an assured laugh, "after I’ve had my fill, you guys won’t be left out."
Hearing this, the terror in Qin Shu’s eyes intensified. She struggled fiercely, but in this place, no one cared for her fragility. The surrounding n grew more excited instead, their predatory gazes harboring ill intentions toward her.
One could imagine, the darkness Qin Shu was about to face was beyond anything she could ever have imagined.
On Capital Star, within the Military Departnt’s office, Ye Qiu sat with a grave expression, for the truth about Rong Yu’s death had been thoroughly investigated.
"Miss Ye, we are terribly sorry, this was a mistake on our Military Departnt’s part." Rong Yu’s superior took off his military cap and bowed deeply to her.
"Where is the murderer?" Ye Qiu asked steadily.
"We’ve gathered the evidence, please be assured, even if he is the heir to the Qin Family, he will receive the punishnt he deserves," the officer promised her.
"If that’s the case, I think he and his squad can rest easy too," Ye Qiu exhaled deeply, her major concern being that the powerful Qin Family might enable Qin Kai to escape justice.
She didn’t expect that her and Rong Yu’s plain and simple life would be repeatedly sched against by the siblings Qin Kai and Qin Shu. Ha, does having power an one can do whatever one pleases? Fortunately, it seems like the upper echelons of the Military Departnt don’t plan to let the Qin Family off the hook.
The Qin Family held considerable power in the Political Departnt, and for many years, due to differing political views with the Military Departnt, they often caused trouble for them. It used to be considered normal political rivalry, so there had been a peaceful coexistence. Today the east wind may overthrow the west wind, and tomorrow the west wind may prevail over the east wind—this was all seen as normal.
But since the discovery that the Qin Family had exploited their official positions to plant spies in the Military Departnt and maliciously hard military personnel, they were no longer willing to tolerate it.

The Star Net was instantly in an uproar; the Qin Family’s reputation suffered another major blow following the incident with Qin Shu, and Qin Xiang was even pelted with rotten eggs and trash by the crowd during his speech.
This was not the end of it; the Qin Family’s stocks hit rock bottom within two days, their operated companies and shops were vandalized, and the couple Qin Zhong and Ruan Ling hid at ho, afraid to step out.
As Qin Xiang watched his family’s influence being eroded by his rivals, he beca so enraged that he suffered a stroke. With this, the Qin Family lost its leader, Qin Zhong was unable to co forward, and with Qin Kai under the control of the military, the Qin Family quickly fell into decline.
Sabotaging military personnel is a grave cri, and Qin Kai’s direct involvent leading to the horrific death of five soldiers and disability of another compounded his offenses. A month later, the Supre Court sentenced Qin Kai to death.
Due to his stroke leaving him unable to perform his duties, Qin Xiang was forced to retire, and the Qin Family moved out of the governnt compound.
After moving out from the compound, without governnt protection, they were harassed repeatedly and had to move multiple tis for safety. Eventually, they sullenly left the Capital Star after selling what little assets they had left.
Half a year later, the general election concluded, and the Military Departnt also scheduled the suppression of the Rebellion Star.
With the advent of a new Body Forging Technique for cultivation, the military’s strength had greatly improved. Rebellion Star didn’t hold out for a year before it was pacified by the military.
So soldiers said they saw a woman on Rebellion Star who bore a striking resemblance to Qin Shu. However, compared to the once-praised lady, this woman was emaciated, with lifeless eyes and her body seed to have experienced countless tornts, decrepit to the extre.
That soldier only glanced from a distance and did not approach to verify. They typically harbored no goodwill towards residents of Rebellion Star; won, elders, children, all could be assassins or Star Thieves here. Even if she was innocent, the governnt would handle it later, it was not his place to offer sympathy.
