ng Huai stood at the street corner, unable to conceal a worried look upon hearing the piercing screams coming from inside. Was Ye Qiu truly alright, so recklessly absorbing the Fierce Ghost’s Ghost Energy?
The little ghosts around watched the towering Ghost Energy with both fear and longing. To them, it was a substantial nourishnt, but now, with the strongest Fierce Ghost of this district about to dissipate, they didn’t dare to make a move.
"Leave now, unless you wish to be reduced to ashes," ng Huai scolded, and a crowd of little ghosts scattered in an instant. Ghost Energy was important, but their lives were more so.
Dawn was breaking, and Ye Qiu finally floated out of the building. Her body was enveloped by an imnse amount of Ghost Energy which seed very unstable, as if she herself was on the verge of being consud at any mont.
"Let’s go," Ye Qiu commanded with bloodshot eyes, her tone filled with hostility.
ng Huai was petrified, watching Ye Qiu’s condition and fearing that if he approached her, he might be devoured by Ye Qiu should she lose her sanity at any ti. He thought that the Ghost King’s Ghost Energy from the legends could barely compare to the intensity of hers now! However, she hadn’t fully digested it, and his worries were profound.
Over the course of a month, nearly all the Fierce Ghosts in City A had been absorbed by Ye Qiu, leaving the little ghosts terrified, fearing they might be her next target. The capable ghosts had already left, and the news of a Ghost King appearing in City A had spread throughout the Ghost Realm nationwide.
Master Hui Guang sat in the ditation room, looking out the window. The Ghost Energy was growing stronger, and his premonitions within beca increasingly intense; he was unable to escape this calamity after all!
"Captain Ling, thank you for taking care of Xiao Ran over this ti." Since Ye Qiu hadn’t shown up for a month, Chu Cheng’s heart had gradually settled, and he went to Ling Xiao’s place to pick up Xiao Ran.

Ling Xiao stood silently, sighing heavily as he watched the car’s exhaust disappear, a worried expression in his eyes.
That night, Ye Qiu finally absorbed all the Ghost Energy she had greedily taken in. Suppressing her excitent, she arrived at Ling Xiao’s apartnt, as she could now reveal her form without harming Xiao Ran!
However, she searched the entire house and couldn’t find Xiao Ran. Even the nanny who usually took care of him was not there. She waited patiently, struggling with her anxiety, thinking perhaps the nanny had taken Xiao Ran out for a walk.
But as the minutes and seconds passed, and when it was ten o’clock at night, Xiao Ran’s usual bedti, why hadn’t he returned?
"CLICK." It was the sound of the door opening. Ye Qiu, excited, floated out from Xiao Ran’s room, but why was it only Ling Xiao? Where was Xiao Ran?

"Ye Qiu? Is that you?" He asked tentatively.
Seeing no one else around, Ye Qiu revealed herself, asking in a gloomy tone, "Where’s Xiao Ran?"
Suddenly, a voice appeared behind him, startling Ling Xiao considerably. He turned around and saw the figure of a person who had died almost five months ago. Even as a tough guy, he felt a lump in his throat.
"Ye Qiu." Ling Xiao stared at the person in front of him without blinking, longing to reach out and stroke her head as he used to do.
Xiao Ran was not there, and Ye Qiu seed a bit agitated. Her eyes turned red again, and black vapor was emanating from her. She glared at Ling Xiao with an unfriendly look, "Where is Xiao Ran?" she demanded.
The black Ghost Energy seed to harm Ling Xiao, who quickly withdrew his hand, looking at her with concern, "Ye Qiu, calm down a bit."
"Where is Xiao Ran?" Ye Qiu pressed him, repeating the question coldly.
"Xiao Ran was taken away by Chu Cheng today." Sensing that sothing was wrong with her emotions, Ling Xiao answered truthfully.
"Chu Cheng? Taken away?" Ye Qiu’s anger intensified, and the lights in the room started flickering on and off. The windows and glassware such as cups began to crack.
Ling Xiao, however, was not in the mood to care about those things. He yelled at Ye Qiu, "Calm down! Do you really want to barge in there like this? Chu Cheng must have set up the Heaven and Earth Net waiting for you. If you go recklessly and end up destroyed, what about Xiao Ran? What will he do if you die again? Then we’ll truly have no way to look after Xiao Ran."
Perhaps Ling Xiao’s shouting managed to wake Ye Qiu up; the lights slowly returned to normal, but her eyes remained bloodshot, and her tone was dangerous, "So what do you expect to do? Are you trying to stop from harming those scoundrels?"
"No, I don’t an to stop you," Ling Xiao quickly said, "I’m just worried about you. I’m afraid if you fall into their trap, Xiao Ran will be truly alone. Let’s discuss this properly, okay?"
"You’d better be telling the truth," Ye Qiu said darkly.
"I’m not lying to you. I am Ling Xiao, Xiao Ran’s uncle. When have I ever lied to you? Trust . Let’s plan this properly before we confront Chu Cheng and Song Jin." Ling Xiao persuaded Ye Qiu with reason, heaving a sigh of relief as she seed to calm down.
"Have you beco a Fierce Ghost now?" Ling Xiao asked after a mont of silence.
"Yes."
"Will you be punished by the Underworld in the future? Will Ghost Chasers co for you?" He asked with imdiate concern.
Ye Qiu scoffed coldly, "They’d have to have the ability to do so. Why are we wasting words? The longer Xiao Ran is in their hands, the greater the harm he suffers. That wretch Song Jin will never make it easy for Xiao Ran."
"I know, I know, don’t be agitated. How about this: tomorrow morning I will go to Chu Cheng’s villa, and if there is anything set up against you, I will sabotage it. Then you can go after them at night, okay?"
"Tomorrow? It’s too late. I want to go now." Perhaps having absorbed too much Ghost Energy lately, Ye Qiu was sowhat losing control of herself. With a wave of her hand, she made a ss of Ling Xiao’s apartnt, leaving wrapped in a swirl of black Ghost Energy.
Ling Xiao quickly got up, went downstairs, and drove to Chu Cheng’s villa, fearing that sothing untoward might happen to Ye Qiu.
