"It’s ready, ti to eat!" Ye Qiu proudly presented the dishes one by one, looking expectantly at Su Sui, "I knew I was so smart, co on, take a taste?"
"This... Did you really just make this?" Staring at the several attractive and fragrant dishes, Su Sui asked in disbelief.
Ye Qiuqing huffed, a touch of discontent in her tone, "If I didn’t make them, who did? What, in your eyes am I that useless?"
Hearing her say that, Su Sui got a bit anxious and hurriedly explained, "No, that’s not what I ant. I an, you did such a good job."
Ye Qiu looked at him approvingly and said, "You’ve got good judgnt."
In just one hour, Ye Qiu had made four dishes: stir-fried beef, dry-braised hairtail, garlic hollow vegetables, and a tomato and egg soup. Not only were the colors bright, the aroma was also very inviting, not at all like sothing made by soone who has never cooked before.
Su Sui sat down sowhat dreamily, then picked up a piece of garlic hollow vegetables with considerable formality. Ye Qiu watched him with bright, expectant eyes, "How’s the taste?"
The hollow vegetables were tender, and the garlic was flavorful. Tasting a bit light, but that’s how vegetables are supposed to be. A little more salt and they wouldn’t be as nice. The taste was just right and felt very refreshing. Su Sui really liked it and thought it was the best vegetable dish he ever had in his life.
"It’s delicious." He nodded emphatically.
As expected, hearing his complint made Ye Qiu’s eyes squint with a satisfied smile, and she said rather smugly, "I knew I was a genius!"
Su Sui really enjoyed watching her slightly boastful expression. Looking at her smile and eating the al she prepared, he wished ti could stand still at this mont.
"Try this too. This dish took the longest to make, I spent a whole ten minutes just studying the recipe." Ye Qiu personally served him a piece of the stir-fried beef, chattering away, "The vegetable seller said this type of pickled pepper was the spiciest, I wonder if it’s true."
Su Sui couldn’t really handle spicy food, but looking at the dish Ye Qiu personally served him, he felt that it was worth it even if the spice killed him.
The beef, mixed with a bit of the pickled pepper, entered his mouth, and he instantly felt as if his tongue was on fire. But soon after, the tenderness of the beef and the flavor of the coriander lded together, creating a marvelous taste.
Su Sui quickly swallowed a mouthful of rice to slightly quell the burning sensation in his chest.
Ye Qiu looked at the blush brought on by spice on his cheeks with satisfaction, not calling him out on it, but instead more eagerly serving him more dishes.
After three dishes and a soup, Ye Qiu only had a small bowl while Su Sui almost cleaned out the rest, it was hard to believe that his slightly slender figure could consu so much.
"You’re giving face," Ye Qiu said with a softness in her tone, "But are you okay? Aren’t you too full?"
"Not at all," Su Sui said, his words not matching his heart. How could the al made by his beloved be anything but appetizing?
"Then I’ll cook for you again next ti."
Su Sui’s gaze burned intensely as he looked at her, his Adam’s apple bobbing, his voice slightly hoarse, "Okay."
"Then I’ll see you tomorrow, goodbye!"
"Goodbye!"
Watching the door gently close behind her, Su Sui’s sowhat cold face suddenly broke into a very pleased smile, a low chuckle bubbling from his throat, "You were the one who approached first. I was thinking of setting you free."
On the other side of the door, Ye Qiu shrugged, thinking: If she took the initiative to get close to Su Sui and treated him well, he probably wouldn’t make any extre moves again, right?
However, what she didn’t know was that soone with a slightly paranoid mindset like Su Sui couldn’t be dealt with in normal ways.
Over the span of five days, Su Sui ca to Ye Qiu’s ho each day to teach her video gas, and also witnessed just how fast Ye Qiu’s hands could move.
"Have you really never played gas before?" Su Sui asked, sowhat bewildered. Are people these days all this good? Watching the monster swiftly defeated by the heroine on the computer screen, he fell silent.
"I’ve played that before, I’m pretty great at Candy Crush. I even played Plants vs. Zombies when I was a kid!" Ye Qiu excitedly controlled her gaming character, stepping onto the PK platform again.
Hearing Ye Qiu’s answer, all Su Sui could do was keep his silence. How could those little gas compare to this large-scale online ga that required technical skills?
As far as he knew, not even his junior martial brothers necessarily had such nimble hand speed, so was it truly a matter of innate talent?
Su Sui chuckled to himself, the look in his eyes growing more intense as he watched Ye Qiu. She really was his little Fairy, outstanding at everything she does!
"Ha, I won again, now I’m also at Level 20." Ye Qiu hugged Su Sui in excitent, "I’m really so grateful to you, with one more Skill, I’ll definitely attract more fans."
Su Sui hadn’t expected Ye Qiu to suddenly hug him, and even though the embrace was brief, he could still feel the warmth of her body.
He forcibly repressed the urge to move his hands, taking a deep breath instead.
But what followed was dissatisfaction, his tone however, remained even as he asked, "Are you this close with everyone?"
After he asked, Su Sui felt a bit afraid, afraid to hear her affirmative answer.
"How could that be?" Ye Qiu huffed, "Why would those ordinary folks be worth my affection?"
"What about then..."
"You’re different, of course, we’re good friends!" Ye Qiu said it as if it was the most natural thing in the world.
"And how many of these ’good friends’ do you have like ?"
"How many more can there be? Just you! The people in the circle are all hypocrites; I don’t want to be friends with them at all!" Ye Qiu pouted.
This ti, Su Sui genuinely laughed, "Right, you have a point, one should indeed be cautious about choosing friends."
"Alright, alright, enough talk, I’ve downloaded a dungeon, let’s go and fight together." Ye Qiu nudged him with her elbow, the two of them moving even closer together.
Pretending not to notice, Su Sui leaned in slightly so that from behind, it looked as if Ye Qiu was resting in his arms, and he curved up the corners of his lips in satisfaction.
"So, co over tomorrow at three in the afternoon, the film crew will be back for shooting, you can’t back out." After their usual dinner, Ye Qiu still felt the need to make sure and remind him.
"Mhm, I’ll be on ti."
"Dress up nice, I have to dazzle the netizens with your appearance, and let everyone see how handso my best friend is!" Ye Qiu said with a look full of anticipation.
Looking at her seriously, Su Sui asked, "Do I look handso in your eyes?"
"Of course." Ye Qiu batted her eyelashes, then added with a touch of critique, "Just a bit too skinny. You eat so much every day, how co you don’t gain weight?"
"You like them chubbier?" Su Sui asked softly.
"Huh?" Ye Qiu looked at him, baffled.
"Nothing, I’m just asking if you think I’d be handsor if I were a bit chubbier?"
"Of course! Guys, if they’re too skinny, they lack a sense of security. Just like those young male celebrities in our circle, they’re way too thin, totally lacking any manliness." Ye Qiu complained.
"I got it." Su Sui nodded, unclear about what he’d concluded.
