Chu Weiwei sighed as she looked at Ye Qiu, "In modern society, especially in our circle, there aren’t many people who speak the truth. Only Ye Qiu, who has grown up with a well-off family background and lacks nothing, so she’s not afraid of offending people. That’s why she’s so blunt."
For so reason, Chu Weiwei found herself both admiring and liking this aspect of Ye Qiu, so she kindly advised, "You should be more careful with your words in the future, don’t be so straightforward. It’s not likable, do you want netizens to always criticize you?"
"I don’t need anyone’s affection," Ye Qiu retorted, "But I appreciate your kindness. You’re actually pretty nice, not like others who flatter to my face and curse behind my back."
"Just be mindful, being liked is always better than being disliked."
"Humph, we’ll see, as long as they don’t provoke ." Ye Qiu grinned, "Seeing that you’re such a nice person, next ti I visit your set, I’ll bring you desserts I made myself, guaranteed to be tastier than this."
"Can you really cook?" Chu Weiwei asked incredulously.
"You doubt ?" Ye Qiu lifted her chin, "Then just wait and be surprised!"
"What are you guys talking about?" Seeing Chu Weiwei and Ye Qiu getting along more animatedly, Jiang Yao coughed and ca over.
"We’re talking about food." Ye Qiu’s eyes lit up, "Senior Jiang, are you free tonight? I’ll treat you to a al, and Weiwei will join us too."
"Really?" Jiang Yao glanced at Chu Weiwei.
Chu Weiwei widened her eyes, "When did I agree to that? And you just criticized , don’t call so affectionately."
"But you just forgave , didn’t you?" Ye Qiu frowned.
"That doesn’t an I agreed to have dinner with you!"
"It’s the sa if you agree now, co on, I’ll take you to a great place, their desserts are just a tad worse than mine, but still tastier than this."
"How do you know I like desserts?" Chu Weiwei raised an eyebrow.
"You just finished a big cup of milk tea, three cookies, four cream puffs, and a slice of Napoleon cake while we were talking, and you’re telling you don’t like sweets?" Ye Qiu said as if she had seen right through her.
Hearing this, Jiang Yao looked at Ye Qiu in surprise, having only recently discovered Chu Weiwei’s fondness for desserts himself, not even her fans knew about her preference, but Ye Qiu had noticed right away.
"Alright, you win." Chu Weiwei shrugged, she indeed had no other plans after completing her shooting tasks today, so going out for a al was no issue.
"Senior Jiang, look Weiwei agreed, are you coming?" Ye Qiu asked expectantly.
"Then let’s go together, I also want to see how good the restaurant you highly recomnd is." Jiang Yao coughed, speaking earnestly.
"Great." Ye Qiu smiled, looking extrely excited, shedding her usual flamboyance and pride, she appeared much more lively and approachable.
On the side, Elder Chen from the Immortal Palace, watchful as ever, then squinted his eyes like an old fox, "Can I join too? No place to go tonight, just an old man here all alone."
"Sure, Sister Hua, why don’t you and the crew join too? My treat today." Ye Qiu said happily.
"No, we wouldn’t want you to overspend." Sister Hua declined, considering that the crew added up to more than ten people and Ye Qiu’s treat wouldn’t be cheap, so after thinking it over, she refused.
Though Sister Hua didn’t go, she fild a short clip of the four going out to eat together, and then they wrapped up and went ho.
Ye Qiu took them to a restaurant owned by a friend of Ye Jian Country, aiming to make it easy for acquaintances. They wouldn’t serve strangers without soone familiar leading the way, so it was indeed Chu Weiwei and Jiang Yao’s first ti here.
The Illusion Realm here was very serene, and the waitstaff did not show much excitent upon seeing the celebrities, which pleased everyone.
"You guys go ahead and order, the dishes here are all pretty good." Ye Qiu handed them the nu, and then personally ordered so desserts, saying to Chu Weiwei, "These are ancient palace pastries, different from Western pastries. Try them later, you’ll definitely like them."
"Sure." Chu Weiwei felt sowhat touched.
Ye Qiu then leaned toward Jiang Yao, "Senior Jiang, can you give an autograph now?"
Seeing that Chu Weiwei and Ye Qiu had cleared up their misunderstandings and had no more prejudices, Jiang Yao kindly asked, "Where would you like to sign?"
"Here." Ye Qiu excitedly pulled out her wallet, "Senior Jiang, you don’t know, I liked the dramas you acted in since I was in primary school. Back then, the old man was quite jealous, saying I liked you more than him, it was really childish to the extre."
Jiang Yao felt a bit choked, unconsciously touched his cheek, was he really that old? Considering Ye Qiu and Wei Yi were probably not even two years apart, did Wei Yi also think of him as an old man?
"Is it Jian Country? He is quite well known as a daughter-slave in the industry." Elder Chen looked at Ye Qiu kindly.
"Director Chen, you know my dad?" Ye Qiu curiously asked.
"Hmm, we’ve worked together a few tis." Elder Chen had a good impression of Ye Jian Country, who managed a second-tier entertainnt company but treated his artists well, without ssy contracts or forcing them into doing disordered things.
However, because of his soft heart and not being ruthless enough, he sotis couldn’t compete with the bigger companies, always lingering neither here nor there.
"Been filming with any drama crew recently?" Elder Chen asked casually.
Ye Qiu was oblivious, but Chu Weiwei and Jiang Yao were startled, knowing that Elder Chen probably had his eye on Ye Qiu.
"Not really, because I’ve been acting like a diva, those people don’t look for anymore. My dad, though, has a couple of scripts, but I didn’t think they suited , so I turned them down."
"How about joining Uncle Chen’s film crew?" Elder Chen asked with a smiling face, as if unaware that joining his crew was a dream opportunity for every actor.
"Can I?" Ye Qiu was puzzled, "But my acting isn’t good, and I’m not very easy to get along with."
Elder Chen did not mind at all: "That’s because they don’t have the eye to recognize talent, Uncle Chen thinks you are pretty good."
"Really? Then what would I play?" Ye Qiu asked excitedly.
"You’ll play her sister," Elder Chen said, pointing at Chu Weiwei.
Chu Weiwei and Jiang Yao looked at each other, wasn’t this role canceled because it wasn’t long enough?
But Ye Qiu didn’t know and happily said, "Then I can act with Senior Jiang? Can my long-ti wish be fulfilled then?"
"Yes, but you’ll have to promise Uncle Chen one thing when you join the crew, no temper tantrums, and you’ll perform as I instruct."
"No problem," Ye Qiu agreed readily, "As long as I can act with my idol, I don’t even need a salary."
