Quick Transmigration: Underdog Turns out to be Untouchable Chapter 1001 - 912: Terror Queen 8
The four newcors did not stand on ceremony, imdiately taking the pie and water that Zhong Junyu handed over, eating and drinking without hesitation. As for thanking him, wasn’t Zhong Junyu supposed to be their protector and guide? What was there to thank for?
Seeing the newcors with such an "as it should be" expression, Li ng was truly infuriated. Although there were clever newcors who could build good relationships with the seasoned players from the start and smoothly pass the novice phase to eventually beco seasoned themselves, there were far more foolish ones. She had no idea what criteria the ga used to pull people in, but it seed to bring in a lot of idiots.
Li ng took a deep breath, telling herself not to be angry, that it was useless to get mad. If she were to die from anger, it would only delight these newcors. Turning to face Lan Shuangshuang, Li ng replaced her expression with a genuine smile.
Lan Shuangshuang, this newcor had great capabilities without being arrogant at all. Even though she seed stronger than both her and Brother Junyu, she showed no sign of arrogance or looking down on others. Such people, even without abilities, could get along well with seasoned players and proceed smoothly. What’s more, Lan Shuangshuang was indeed skilled, with a bright future ahead. Thus, Li ng felt quite fond of Lan Shuangshuang.
Just as newcors need to build good relationships with seasoned players, seasoned players also want to get along with stronger players. The ga was full of crises, and no one knew when they might need soone to save them. Even though Lan Shuangshuang was a newcor, she undoubtedly held the status of a stronger player.
Li ng didn’t let Lan Shuangshuang eat pie; instead, she took out several disposable food containers. Upon opening them, they revealed delicate xiaolongbao, almost transparent with juices visible inside, emitting a rich aroma. Each container’s xiaolongbao had different fillings, each alluring with semi-transparent skin wrapped around the soupy atball.
Li ng cheerfully invited Lan Shuangshuang, "Shuangshuang, let’s have xiaolongbao. I hurriedly bought these last ti in the ga. They taste amazing; you should try them." Having just exchanged nas, Li ng began addressing Lan Shuangshuang affectionately as "Shuangshuang," appearing very close, without a hint of sarcasm.
Lan Shuangshuang did not refuse Li ng’s goodwill. While she could endure hardships, she also wouldn’t reject good food. Lan Shuangshuang sat down with Li ng and began enjoying the xiaolongbao.
The four newcors over there slled the tempting aroma and watched Li ng and Lan Shuangshuang having xiaolongbao, feeling a bit restless. However, seeing Zhong Junyu eating pie and drinking water just like them, and considering Lan Shuangshuang’s martial power and Li ng’s sharp tongue, they eventually settled down, obediently eating their pie, not daring to act rashly.
After the al, Lan Shuangshuang pulled down the female ghost floating above her acting as a cooling machine, placing her directly opposite. She got straight to the point, "Tell , how many ghosts are in this hotel? And what’s the pattern of their attacks on us?"
Under normal circumstances, ghosts attack people for two reasons: one, vengeance, and two, indiscriminate harm with no pattern to follow. However, since this is a survival ga, even if it seems chaotic, there must be so rules to abide by.
The female ghost had already given up resistance. When Lan Shuangshuang questioned her, she answered directly, "I don’t know how many ghosts there are because everyone who died in this hotel can only roam the rooms they stayed in and the place they died. I’m the sa, confined to my forr rooms and death site, never venturing elsewhere.
So, I don’t know exactly how many ghosts are in this Ghost Hotel, but I know there are certainly quite a few since many people died together when I did.
After death, we are trapped in this hotel. Whenever soone checks into the room we died in, we can attack them, but only those staying in the room we once occupied.
However, an attack can only happen once a day. Also, there are empty rooms in the hotel without occupants, and these empty rooms have no ghosts. If those entering the hotel find an unoccupied empty room, we cannot attack those in the empty rooms for three days. After three days, the ghosts residing closest to these empty rooms on either side can attack.
The ghosts that attacked you earlier in the lobby died there. Later, the Heavenly Master led people to choose this room, which was my pre-death room, so both the lobby ghosts and I could attack you."
This is actually the ga’s rule: the rooms once inhabited by the ghosts are their territory. Entering ghost territory ans entering an attack zone, but they can only attack once per day without multiple assaults. Additionally, uninhabited empty rooms in the hotel act as safe zones for three days.
The ga difficulty isn’t too hard, after all, it’s ant for newcors to adapt. The power of ghosts has been significantly reduced and their attack count limited. If you’re not too stupid, you can indeed get through with the guidance of seasoned players.
But now that Lan Shuangshuang was here, she didn’t plan to just get by. The novice phase really wasn’t difficult, especially with Lan Shuangshuang’s Heavenly Master abilities. After getting full, she took Li ng along, who followed her relentlessly, and started forcefully kicking open every door in the hotel.
Once inside, she would drag the ghosts out, tie them with ropes, and let them flutter in the sky like kites. As for those uncooperative or defiant, they were beaten into submission. By the ti Lan Shuangshuang had made her rounds throughout the hotel, the once defiant ghosts had beco balloons, hovering in the sky, bruised and subdued.
Li ng tilted her head, her mouth agape, staring at the thin strings hanging down the corridors and the crowded ghosts at the ceiling, each restrained and motionless. It was a sight that left her ntally overwheld.
Looking back at Lan Shuangshuang, a fiery admiration had replaced the starstruck awe in Li ng’s eyes. This wasn’t a re newcor; this was a powerhouse, a gold-standard ally. For the first ti, Li ng overlooked her dearest Brother Junyu, sticking to Lan Shuangshuang like glue.
Lan Shuangshuang’s feelings towards Li ng weren’t hateful. Although in a past life Li ng was her mortal enemy, Lan Shuangshuang steadfastly refused to think of that foolish and incompetent Lan Shuangshuang as herself.
Moreover, the previous Lan Shuangshuang was purely a newbie dragging behind. In such a case, seasoned player Li ng had plenty of ans to kill Lan Shuangshuang. Yet Lan Shuangshuang always clung to Zhong Junyu like a plaster, and despite Li ng’s tricks, she never faced any significant danger. So, despite Li ng’s unforgiving words, her nature was still inherently kind.
This survival ga proved challenging because of the sheer number of ghosts haunting the Ghost Hotel, astonishingly many. Even with the restriction of one attack per day, eting them as a delicate, feeble newcor was absolutely fatal.
