Due to Shuangshuang’s excessively rough actions, the tall and strong fat man inevitably choked when he couldn’t swallow in ti, but Shuangshuang continued to fiercely pour alcohol into him without rcy.

The feeling of his stomach about to explode, and the alcohol accidentally entering his windpipe, made every breath burn painfully for the tall and strong fat man, who was left streaming with tears and snot by Shuangshuang’s force-feeding.

The tall and strong fat man desperately shook his head but couldn’t escape Shuangshuang’s grip. He wanted to beg for rcy, but unfortunately, his mouth was tightly sealed by the bottle’s mouth. To avoid choking to death, he had to gulp down the alcohol frantically, unable to make a sound to call for help.

After Shuangshuang finished pouring all the alcohol from the table into him, the tall and strong fat man’s stomach, already bulging, now seed like that of a woman pregnant for ten months.

When Shuangshuang finally let go of him, the tall and strong fat man slid directly from the chair to the floor, vomiting profusely, expelling nothing but alcohol. Soon, the ground was covered in a large wet patch.

Although the tall and strong fat man vomited out most of the alcohol that Shuangshuang poured into him, being suddenly flooded with so much alcohol had already muddled his brain, and he passed out drunk in the ss of liquor.

Standing to the side, Shuangshuang looked disgustedly at the floor, now filthy from the tall and strong fat man’s vomit, wrinkling her nose. She said to the landlady, "I’m really sorry for damaging so many of your things and dirtying your floor."

The landlady had a genuine smile on her face, "No problem, I should thank you for helping out of a tough spot. Girl, you can stay here as long as you like, and I won’t charge you a penny, plus I’ll cover your three als a day."

The landlady kept her word. While having staff clean the ss in the room, she personally attempted to return the accommodation fee Shuangshuang had paid, but Shuangshuang naturally refused. It might be money here, but in another world, it might as well be joss paper that spirits don’t recognize—what use was it to her to keep it?

Seeing Shuangshuang’s firm refusal to take back the money, the landlady was deeply moved, thinking this was a truly good person, doing good deeds without expecting any benefits.

Looking at the tall and strong fat man lying on the floor, a cold glint flashed in the landlady’s eyes. She had pretended to be ek and conciliatory earlier only to avoid imdiate trouble. In reality, for a woman to run such an inn in a place rife with violence, she must have strong backing to not have been devoured long ago.

Observing that the tall and strong fat man was dead drunk, the landlady instructed the staff to drag him out like garbage and dump him outside, making it easier for them to clean the hall.

At the sa ti, she made a call, and soon the police arrived, handcuffing and taking away the tall and strong fat man. The lead officer assured the landlady that soone who endangered public safety and assaulted won in public would surely receive a heavy sentence.

Having helped the landlady once and declined to take back her money, the landlady, in gratitude, decided to repay Shuangshuang with food: crab yolk soup dumplings with lobster congee and various delicacies for breakfast, a luxurious feast for lunch, and another feast for dinner. Everyone, alongside Shuangshuang, ate three sumptuous als a day until their bellies were round.

For several consecutive days thereafter, the inn was calm and peaceful. The young couple and that gloomy skinny man, as well as the bald nouveau riche middle-aged man, all stayed there.

There was no ghostly atmosphere to speak of, which made Shuangshuang sowhat uneasy. If the current danger wasn’t from ghosts but rather human calamity, she wouldn’t be able to sense the source of the threat through ghostly vibes.

Soon, Shuangshuang’s foreboding beca reality. The gloomy middle-aged man was found dead in the inn’s hall, his body dismbered by so sharp instrunt, in a very grueso manner.

This was a human-caused tragedy, aning the horror this ti ca from people, or perhaps from people first, then ghosts. Shuangshuang frowned, feeling very uneasy. The greatest danger from human actions was that she couldn’t rely on sensing ghostly vibes to proactively eliminate threats.

Police and forensic experts were gathering evidence in the hall, and everyone was sequentially taken to the police station to give statents. During this ti, another person had an incident—the bald nouveau riche man.

In the sa place, at the sa spot, and using the sa thod, the police were busy and clueless, with no leads. Shuangshuang was still at the station giving her statent, trying to recall any details that could help the police with their investigation. At that mont, a pale-faced junior officer ca in and said sothing to the officer taking Shuangshuang’s statent.

The junior officer’s voice was too soft for Shuangshuang to catch, but she vaguely heard sothing about an escape. After he finished, the officer taking her statent got up with a troubled expression and left, telling Shuangshuang she could leave as her statent was complete.

Left alone in the room, Shuangshuang didn’t rush to leave. Instead, she crossed her hands on the table and pondered, thinking that the person who escaped, as ntioned by the junior officer, was likely the tall and strong fat man.

Despite how easily manipulated he seed in Shuangshuang’s hands, the tall and strong fat man’s combat power was quite substantial—enough to play the role of a killer in a horror film.

If this ga world were a complete horror story, then the players like themselves would be intruding as characters that shouldn’t exist.

Shuangshuang wondered, without their untily presence, what the story’s original path would be?

Without Shuangshuang there, the landlady would certainly have no one to help her. At the ti, in the hall, facing the strong combat power of the man that was the tall and strong fat man, the landlady would undoubtedly suffer a setback, such as being forced to drink and being taken advantage of by him.

More excessive incidents might’ve occurred, yet the landlady wasn’t soone truly easy to bully. If, afterwards, she reported the incident and had him arrested and sentenced, the tall and strong fat man might have used his strength to escape from prison.

The ancients always said, ’With martial skills cos the temptation to break the law.’ Conversely, if anyone with criminal intent has combat prowess, it becos especially easy to tread the wrong path, as they have the power to control others’ lives.

This tall and strong fat man was such a person because of his harassnt of a woman, resulting in his imprisonnt. If he got out, revenge would certainly be his first thought.

As for why he killed unrelated people, if the fat man had a killer’s personality, this wouldn’t be hard to understand; thus, the ga’s storyline should be like this.

The tall and strong fat man harassed the landlady. After suffering a loss, the landlady sent the fat man to prison. The man, unwilling to accept this, escaped for revenge, killing many, including the landlady. The landlady and others, due to their grueso deaths, beca ghosts and retaliated against their murderer, then along with their spirits, haunted the inn and hard others.
