Quick Transmigration: Underdog Turns out to be Untouchable Chapter 1011 - 922: Queen of Terror 18
Qin i Yun and Cheng Lin painstakingly treated each other’s wounds and bandaged them up, only to find the dical kit empty. Their wounds were too nurous to count, especially Cheng Lin, whose body was nearly devoid of uninjured flesh.
Previously encountered by enemies, Cheng Lin was besieged by more than a dozen people. He fought desperately to win, only to be betrayed by his underling Huang Mao and two other subordinates right after defeating the enemies, almost dying at the hands of people he had underestimated.
After bandaging their wounds, Cheng Lin regained so strength. Both he and Qin i Yun ca over to thank Shuangshuang. Qin i Yun looked genuinely grateful, "We really owe you. If not for you rescuing us, Cheng Lin and I would probably have t a dreadful end."
Cheng Lin wasn’t good at socializing, so Qin i Yun took the initiative to interact with Shuangshuang. Having shouted for help for so long, Qin i Yun’s voice was extrely hoarse, and combined with a long absence of water, it made her throat dry and painful when she spoke.
Shuangshuang handed so food to Qin i Yun and Cheng Lin, saying flatly, "No need to thank , it was just a small act. If you hadn’t cried for help so desperately for to hear, I wouldn’t have co following the voice. You could say you saved yourselves."
Hearing that Shuangshuang had co over because she heard her cries for help, Qin i Yun relaxed noticeably, reasoning that anyone willing to rescue others at the sound of a cry for help couldn’t be a bad person.
"If it weren’t for you having a good heart and hearing my cries for help and coming to save us, no matter how much I scread, I couldn’t have saved myself. Cheng Lin and I will never forget your great kindness. I’m a doctor, and Cheng Lin is a Gold Ability User with decent combat power. If you don’t mind, Cheng Lin and I could be your subordinates, at your command in the future."
Qin i Yun was genuinely thankful to Shuangshuang, but ntioning her doctor status and Cheng Lin’s superpower level was ant to grab Shuangshuang’s attention, showcasing their intent to follow her.
Even though Qin i Yun hadn’t awakened any superpower, her sixth sense had intensified post-apocalypse. Trusting this intuition, she had felt Cheng Lin was reliable and chose to trust him when he approached, leading to his protection and preventing her from becoming an object of man’s whims in this ruined world.
Now, Qin i Yun’s intuition told her that Shuangshuang was extrely formidable, much stronger than Cheng Lin. If they could cling to Shuangshuang’s proverbial golden thigh, their future safety would be assured, so Qin i Yun instinctively revealed their greatest value and clearly expressed their desire to follow her.
Cheng Lin, unaware of Qin i Yun’s thoughts, agreed entirely with her words. No matter what decision Qin i Yun made, he supported it—even if it ant transitioning from a boss to Shuangshuang’s subordinate.
However, Shuangshuang had no intention of carrying burdens, and directly rejected, "No need, I prefer to be a lone wolf. My personality doesn’t suit team-ups."
Failing to secure acceptance from Shuangshuang left Qin i Yun a bit disappointed, but she wasn’t in a rush. Since Shuangshuang hadn’t left her and Cheng Lin behind yet, it ant she intended to see things through. They figured Shuangshuang would stay until they recovered or were settled sowhere, granting so ti to hopefully change her mind gradually.
With this in mind, Qin i Yun wisely refrained from further pestering, choosing instead to quietly eat and drink with Cheng Lin. Fully sated, both their conditions improved significantly.
anwhile, Shuangshuang was contemplating her next bug-hunting steps. She always ventured to places swarming with bugs. Such dangerous locales weren’t suitable for dragging along the injured Qin i Yun and Cheng Lin.
Given their current half-disabled states, a single bug could easily finish them off. If Shuangshuang were to protect them until they healed, she’d be sidelined from her tasks for days.
After much deliberation, Shuangshuang decided to find a relatively safe spot to place them before departing.
Regarding a safe location, Shuangshuang had an idea. On the city’s outskirts was a newly built prison intended for serious criminals, just finished and still empty of prisoners.
Given it’s designed to hold severe offenders, the prison was entirely enclosed. Even the exercise yard was sealed, with overhead windows covered in special glass. With bugs currently unable to breach it, it would be safe for Cheng Lin and Qin i Yun.
Upon hearing Shuangshuang’s plan, both Qin i Yun and Cheng Lin agreed. With their nurous wounds causing limited mobility, Shuangshuang found a high-chassis SUV to transport them in. This vehicle was a luxury model, worth millions.
In peaceti, when cruising down the road, no other cars dared get close for fear of scratching and being unable to afford the damages. But now, its owner had abandoned it by the roadside, open for anyone to take. The SUV was large, spacious, and comfortable inside, with a sizable trunk for carrying supplies. The only downside was its fuel guzzling.
Checking the fuel tank, Shuangshuang saw it was only half full. Fortunately, many abandoned cars littered the roadside. Shuangshuang siphoned fuel to fill the tank, disregarding whether the octane matched.
While she was at it, Shuangshuang took two sealed large white barrels from her space, filled them with fuel, and loaded them into the trunk as a backup, avoiding the embarrassnt of running out midway.
Having secured the car and fuel, and driving it out shortly, Qin i Yun spotted a small supermarket tucked away—convenient since the car had no food left, and though Shuangshuang’s space contained so, all were premium goods purchased from the System, too exquisite to give away readily.
Now stumbling upon a small supermarket was perfect, even though its entrance seed small and privately run. Shuangshuang resolved that if there were no one inside, she’d liberate so goods; if occupied, she’d reluctantly use her reserved supplies on Qin i Yun and Cheng Lin.
The small supermarket’s shutter doors were down, and after knocking for a long ti without a response, Shuangshuang forcibly lifted the shutter. Seeing through the glass window and door, it was clear the place was empty, though the shelves were fully stocked. Entering inside, it seed as though it had just opened, with all items appearing new.
Though outside the supermarket appeared small, once inside, it was unexpectedly roomy, further revealing a downward staircase after turning a corner.
