‘How troubleso. This wasn’t just a small cluster of walkers from the beginning, was it?’

Finally realizing the increasing numbers of walkers even after eliminating hundreds of them, Michael’s expression beca a little grim since the appearance of another herd of walkers is not a welcod news for him.

After killing hundreds of walkers within an hour, Michael is now feeling a little breathless from the constant swinging of his Claymore.

[You terminated a Zombie! Gained 1 EXP and 1 Coin.] x3

Michael killed three more walkers before taking multiple leaps backward before landing on his two feet. He looked at the herd of walkers relentlessly trudging towards him, and a deep sigh escaped his lips.

‘This has beco troubleso. No matter how strong I am, even an elephant would fall under the attacks of tens of thousands of ants.’ Michael rembered the saying that even the strongest and the largest opponent would fall under the relentless attacks of even the smallest and insignificant creatures.

[You terminated a Zombie! Gained 1 EXP and 1 Coin.]

Michael split a walker who suddenly appeared from behind an abandoned vehicle on the roadside.

‘Holy crap!’ Michael had turned his sight to his left and was almost scared out of his wits when countless walkers burst out of the treeline like a dam breaking onto the road and tumbling down the slope.

‘You’re forcing , are you?’ He had that thought in mind when he witnessed the scene. Though it was unknown whom he was referring to.

Swoosh!

Michael whipped his claymore to clean up the remaining blood and gore stuck on it. Though it had already been over over an hour since he had gotten engaged with the walker, Michael’s clothes barely had any dirt on it, mostly from constant wiping of sweat off his face and so dirty blood being splashed on him.

‘I hope sothing attracts these bastards, or else we’ll be forced to go around them.’ He thought gravely. Ever since he saw that horde by the border, he had this inkling feeling that sothing had gone horribly wrong. Right now, he does not have an idea what it is, it might either be a small or big change, but his intuition tells him it could change the landscape of this world.

‘I wonder where this herd is heading though?’ Michael thought as he took down multiple walkers.

From the skies, it was indeed a huge concentration of walkers. Most are not visible from above since the forest is acting as a cover, but the figures seen stumbling past the spaces between the tree canopies are nurous.

A scene capable of sending shivers down the spine of anyone who witnesses such a horrifying event since this undead herd is not only nurous, it also stretches for over a mile or maybe more.

While at the very edge of this undead herd, a small cluster of this herd had broken off towards the direction of where Michael and the others were.

On another note, a small group of survivors are also seen taking refuge inside a rundown warehouse within a small factory in the area, not far from where Michael is.

From the motorho, the two won noticed that the situation in the distance was getting worse for Michael since there were more walkers than previously anticipated.

“I think he’s in trouble this ti. Should we drive over and help?” Rosita said to Andrea while watching Michael repeatedly striking down walkers after walkers with the help of the binoculars on her hand.

“No need. He’ll co back on his own.” Andrea was not worried. She had watched him wrestle with a bloated walker back then in that well with no problems. For Michael, facing this kind of trouble where he has more space to maneuver is no problem for him, and Andrea knows that and was not particularly worried.

“There’s that, but let’s still prepare just in case.” Though not worried, Andrea still feels the need to be ready. She stood up from her position and made her way back inside the motorho and Rosita followed after her monts later.

She took the M4 that’s lying down on the dining table and made her way to the front of the vehicle and started it.

“Let drive. I don’t trust you driving this thing.” Rosita entered the cockpit and imdiately declared her intentions.

Andrea turned to look at her and responded. “You saw drive it yesterday.”

“Yeah, and you almost crashed us into a tree.” Rosita widened her eyes at her and argued.

“Tsk!” Andrea clicked her tongue and imdiately got up.

Rosita took over the reins of the vehicle while Andrea went over to the passenger side.

“You shoot, I drive.”

“Wait, we’re heading over right now?” Andrea was surprised at her words since they only ca down from the roof to get ready for anything unexpected.

“Of course. We won’t get close, but just near enough so we can drive over imdiately and help him.” Rosita responded, and the motorho soon slowly moved forward.

While Michael and the other two are busy doing their own things. Way off in the distance, there’s this group of survivors watching the spectacle up in the trees.

It seems they have been living among the trees inside roughly made tree houses.

They are situated along the tree line and witnessed everything from the beginning to when the survivors trapped inside that minibus escaped and didn’t even try to help their savior.

During that mont, this group of survivors that had their own binoculars in their possession thought that Michael would be dismbered by the walkers not long after.

Though It did not even take long when their thoughts were proven wrong.

Instead, they witnessed sothing that made everyone question themselves.

“Is he even human?”

“Are human beings even capable of fighting that long with that heavy as* sword?”

“Did he co out of a secret facility or sothing? That dude is clearly not human. He’s more like a monster in human skin.”

Those kinds of questions popped out of their mouths as their eyes remained glued on Michael who’s facing a life threatening situation that would make anyone give in to despair.

“That man…is not human at all.”

“If they die, then let’s take that car with us. It looks cool.” one of them suddenly said from out of nowhere, and silence reigned over for a mont before everyone agreed with her.

“Only if they die and that undead horde moves on. Because I’m not risking our lives just for a vehicle when we’re living safe here up in the trees.” A dark-skinned woman with braided hair, supposedly their leader was the one who responded to the intentions of that woman.

Hearing her rough voice, a couple of the won around them shivered as a specific mory popped up in their minds.

Soon, there was only silence. Everyone watched intently like they were in a theater watching a movie.

There are not a lot of them, but the structure of their community can only be described as impressive. They built small structures of tree houses around large and sturdy trees and connected them through hanging bridges made with the combination of ropes and planks.

It’s like how you’d imagine elves living in the trees, but instead of elves, it's human survivors who reeked from not having a bath for days now.
