Logan continued to breathe following the Void Soul Sutra thod, and Qi kept surging through his ridians. Slowly, he would take a deep breath, hold it for a few seconds, and then release it gently. With each exhale, a faint mist would escape through his nose and mouth. At first, it was extrely thin—barely noticeable. But if one watched long enough, it beca clear that the mist was gradually growing thicker with every breath.
His dantian slowly began to glow. The more he breathed, the brighter it beca. Inside, his internal energy was steadily increasing—as if a dam built to block a river’s current was now starting to break, piece by piece.
Logan continued the process. The night grew deeper, but he paid no attention to ti. He was fully imrsed in cultivation.
Tick...Tick...Tick... The stillness of night quietly gave way to the approaching dawn. But Logan remained in his ditative state, breathing, focusing, and channeling Qi through every pore of his body.
Finally, the sun began to rise, slicing through the darkness of night and bathing all of Solvane in golden light. Birds chirped in the distance. And at last, Logan opened his eyes. He had cultivated the entire night, yet there was no sign of fatigue in his gaze. On the contrary, they looked clear and refreshed. Very fresh actually.
Logan stood up and began stretching his body lightly.
"Huff! I still haven’t beco a martial arts master. The more I progress in cultivation, the slower it gets. Probably because there’s no spiritual energy in the air. At this rate, it’ll take a lifeti just to reach the Martial King level. And who knows if I’ll ever beco a Martial Emperor."
Logan felt a bit disheartened. Even though his cultivation had advanced a lot, he wasn’t satisfied with the pace.
"Compared to my past life, I’m ahead. Back then, I had only reached the initial body refinent stage by this ti. But that was only because I started training at ten. Considering how early I started this ti, I should’ve already beco a Martial Arts Grandmaster," he thought.
"But what can I do? This era’s environnt isn’t suitable for cultivation."
With a sigh, he headed to the washroom to freshen up. Because of last night’s intense training, a dark, sticky substance had co out of his entire body instead of sweat. Those were impurities. Logan scrubbed himself clean and took a proper bath. Then he got ready quickly for the day.
"I’m finally going to start as a hunter today," he thought while stepping out and locking the door behind him. He went downstairs and sat at a table in the tavern. As soon as she saw him, Sylvie walked over with a smile.
"Good morning!" she greeted. After Logan helped her yesterday, she had developed a really good impression of him.
"Good morning!" Logan replied.
"What would you like for breakfast? Everything’s fresh and tasty right now," she asked.
"I think I’ll go with bread, butter, jelly, and a double-egg olet," Logan said.
"Coming right up," she smiled and left for the kitchen.
"I should finish my breakfast soon and head to the guild for the location," Logan planned.
He didn’t have to wait long. Within a few minutes, Sylvie returned with his order.
"Enjoy," she said as she served the food on his table. After serving she left to serve others.
Logan finished his breakfast quietly and wiped his hands with the cloth napkin placed beside the plate. He took a small sip of water, stood up, and left a few coins on the table. Then, without wasting any more ti, he stepped out of the tavern and began walking toward the Hunter Guild.
The morning sun was fully up now, casting golden light across the cobbled streets of Solvane. Logan’s steps were calm and steady. Though the town was just beginning to wake, he moved with a sense of purpose, his hood pulled slightly forward to avoid unnecessary attention.
As he reached the guild entrance and pushed the door open, a soft creak echoed through the quiet hall.
It was still early—just after dawn—so the guild wasn’t crowded. Only a handful of hunters were inside, sipping coffee, checking the mission board, or chatting in low voices.
But the mont Logan stepped in, all eyes turned toward him.
"That’s the kid from the test, right?"
"Yes, It’s him. Is he here this early to go on a dungeon raid? Did he join any party?"
"Maybe not yet. Or else he would have been here with his party. Not alone."
Whispers floated around, but Logan ignored them completely. His expression was calm. Without even glancing at the others, he walked straight toward the reception desk where Elizabeth was already sorting through so scrolls and docunts.
Elizabeth looked up and smiled faintly as he approached.
"Back already? I take it you’re here to take your first dungeon mission?" she asked.
"Yes," Logan nodded. "But I wanted to understand the rules first. How are dungeon missions selected? And what’s the minimum team requirent for each rank?"
Elizabeth appreciated the directness. She pointed at one side to a large mission board mounted on the wall.
"Each dungeon mission is marked by color based on its class. S-class is dark red, A-class is bright red, B-class is light red, C-class is orange, D-class is yellow, E-class is pink, and F-class is silver."
She tapped her finger lightly on a scroll as she continued, "To enter a dungeon, certain conditions must be t depending on your tier. For example, an F-class dungeon usually requires a party of three if no hunter is above C-class. However, if there’s at least one C-class or B-class hunter, they can go alone to an F-class. C-class and above can solo F-class dungeons alone without restriction. For higher dungeons, the rules beco stricter."
She was about to explain further, but Logan raised his hand gently.
"That will be enough. I plan to start with an F-class dungeon anyway," he said.
Elizabeth blinked, a bit surprised, but nodded. "Alright then."
"Thank you," Logan added politely before turning and walking toward the mission board.
As he left, Elizabeth called out from behind, "Be careful!"
Logan raised one hand without turning, acknowledging her words.
He walked straight to the board and scanned the silver-marked sections. After a mont, he found what he was looking for—an F-class dungeon located in a deep forest outside the southern edge of Solvane. The details ntioned low-tier beasts and so terrain hazards but nothing unusual. Just the kind of place perfect for warming up.
Logan tore off the mission scroll and folded it neatly before tucking it into his belt.
With that, he exited the guild.
The streets were slowly growing livelier, but Logan didn’t pause. He headed directly south, following the trail that would lead him toward the edge of the forest, ready to face his first official dungeon raid as a registered hunter.
