Gazel and Sirus both stood up and examined their new bodies.
Gazel clenched his fist, feeling the imnse power coursing through him. "Hahaha... incredible. I can feel it. The strength is overflowing. It’s as if the stronger the person we rge with, the more perfect the rging becos."
Sirus licked his lips in satisfaction. "True. I think the ones we rged with this ti were A-class mages. They even have S-class hunters, right? If we could rge with one of them, maybe we’d never have to switch bodies again. What do you think?"
"Yes," Gazel replied thoughtfully. "But we’ve been wandering for days and still haven’t co across a single S-class human. Their numbers must be extrely scarce."
"That’s true... So, should we keep searching for S-class humans, or capture more A-class ones and bring them to the boss?" Sirus asked.
"Let’s look for another ten to twelve days," Gazel decided. "With these bodies, we should last that long. If we find an S-class, that’s ideal. If not, we’ll rge with a few more A-class humans and bring so back for the boss before returning to the dungeon."
"Alright," Sirus nodded. With that, both of them started walking again, disappearing into the distance.
anwhile, back at Smith Villa...
Rowan, Daliah, and Lilith stood at three different corners of the training ground, while Logan stood calmly at the center.
"By the way, Logan," Rowan asked, wanting to be sure. "You’re not going to use magic, right? Only we’ll be using magic while you fight with your internal energy alone."
He needed confirmation, because even though Logan was wearing gravity bands that created pressure equivalent to a hundred tis normal gravity, if Logan still used magic, the battle would be over before it even began.
Logan smiled faintly. "Yes, don’t worry. I’ll only rely on my internal energy and no magic."
"Good," Lilith said with a determined grin. "Here we co, then!"
At her signal, both she and Rowan charged at once. Daliah hesitated for a brief mont, then sighed and joined in. "It’s not like he’s in danger," she muttered to herself as she rushed forward.
Lilith was the first to act. She raised her hand and unleashed a bolt of lightning that crackled through the air toward Logan.
In a blur, Logan flipped backward, the lightning grazing past him harmlessly.
Almost imdiately, a blazing fireball followed, launched by Rowan. Logan twisted midair, narrowly dodging it as the explosion scorched the ground where he had just been.
But before he could land, Daliah and Lilith launched their combo attack.
Jagged earth spikes erupted from the ground beneath him, surging upward in rapid succession as Daliah’s spell tore through the training field. At the sa ti, Lilith conjured a volley of razor-sharp air blades that sliced through the air toward Logan.
Yet, even amidst the chaos, Logan moved with impossible precision. His body flowed like water, weaving between the spikes and blades with graceful ease.
"How troubleso!" Lilith exclaid, unable to hide her frustration or her delight. A bright smile tugged at her lips.
Her long-held dream was finally coming true. Ever since the Arcadia Young Elite Tournant, she had wanted to duel Logan. But the gap in strength between them had only widened over ti, leaving her wish unfulfilled.
Now, at last, she was facing him, even if it was alongside Rowan and Daliah, even if the odds were uneven. For her, this was enough.
Finally, Logan stopped rely dodging and began to fight back as well.
He stomped the ground, the floor cracking slightly beneath his feet as he launched himself forward, straight toward Rowan. Among the three, Rowan was the strongest, so Logan went for him first.
He threw a powerful punch.
Rowan t the attack head-on, his own fist surging with condensed internal energy, wrapped in a blazing aura of fire that flared like a barrier.
Thud!
Their fists collided with a deep, muffled impact. The shockwave rippled across the field, forcing Rowan to skid backward several ters before he could steady himself.
Before Logan could follow up, a massive crescent-shaped air blade whooshed toward him from the side.
Logan twisted his body mid-air, bending backward until his spine almost touched the ground, narrowly avoiding the strike. In the sa motion, he thrust his fist forward.
Though his punch struck only empty air, a powerful shockwave burst forth, an invisible force that blasted toward Daliah like a concentrated air cannon.
Daliah quickly raised an earthen shield in front of her, but it shattered the instant it collided with Logan’s invisible strike, sending her sliding backward across the ground.
Logan didn’t pause for even a heartbeat. He moved again, like a blur. And his target this ti was Lilith.
Seeing Logan charge straight toward her, Lilith quickly raised her hands and unleashed a barrage of attacks, air blades and lightning bolts fired one after another in rapid succession.
But Logan moved like a shadow between them, his body weaving and twisting with inhuman agility as he closed the distance.
In the blink of an eye, he was already in front of her, his fist pulled back and ready to strike.
Panicking, Lilith reacted on instinct. She activated her gravity magic.
In an instant, Logan’s body ca to a grinding halt. The imnse gravity didn’t just weigh down on him, it also affected the wristbands he wore, which were already generating a hundred tis normal gravity. Under Lilith’s spell, that weight multiplied even further.
Lilith imdiately leapt backward to gain distance.
anwhile, Logan’s body crashed onto the ground with a heavy thud, kicking up a cloud of dust.
A crushing force pinned him down, pressing against every muscle and bone. Lilith breathed a sigh of relief. "Finally." She said.
But despite the intense pressure, Logan gritted his teeth and pushed against the ground, his eyes glowing faintly.
"Finally, so challenge," he thought with a hint of excitent.
Seeing him begin to move again, Lilith shouted sharply, "Two hundred tis gravity!"
The pressure instantly doubled. Logan had sohow lifted himself an inch off the ground, but now he was slamd back down with even greater force.
"She got there," Logan muttered with a wry chuckle, even in that overwhelming situation.
Still, he pressed his palms against the ground and tried to rise again, veins straining against his skin.
Seeing his stubborn resistance, Lilith clenched her fists tighter and poured more energy into her spell increasing the gravity manipulation. She couldn’t increase the weight of the gravity bands any further as they had already reached their limit but she pushed her own gravity field to its maximum.
Logan’s body was now completely pinned flat against the ground.
He tried to push himself up, but the force pressing down on him was overwhelming. Even after all his gravity training, even with his cultivation at the Ultimate Grandmaster Realm, at that mont, he felt truly defeated.
Rowan and Daliah slowly walked forward, watching him struggle.
"Phew! He really is like an unstoppable force of nature," Rowan thought in awe.
Daliah, on the other hand, looked at Logan with worried eyes.
Lilith hesitated. She wanted to lift the gravity field, concerned for Logan’s safety, but seeing that he hadn’t yielded yet, she decided to hold on a little longer.
anwhile, Logan continued to struggle. He couldn’t even bend his elbow enough to press his palm against the ground, but he kept trying anyway.
"Logan, I think we’ve won this round," Lilith called out, her voice slightly trembling from exhaustion. "You should give up already."
She was nearing her limit. Holding Logan down like this required everything she had. Without those gravity bands amplifying the weight, she knew it would’ve been impossible.
But Logan didn’t respond. He neither spoke nor showed any sign of surrender. His teeth were clenched, his body trembling, yet his will remained unbroken.
It wasn’t pride keeping him from giving up, it was his determination. His unyielding drive to push beyond his limits. For the first ti in a long while, he had found a genuine challenge, a way to pressure himself into breaking through his boundaries.
So he kept going.
And then suddenly....
sothing happened.
Logan felt a sudden snap deep within his body.... not physical, but spiritual.
A faint golden aura began to radiate from him, shimring subtly yet unmistakably.
Rowan, Daliah, and Lilith imdiately froze, their eyes widening as the air around them shifted. The atmosphere grew heavy and divine, as though they were standing in the presence of sothing far greater than themselves, sothing beyond comprehension.
At the sa ti, far away atop a mountain peak, an elderly man who appeared to be in his seventies was sitting in a cross-legged position.
Suddenly, his eyes snapped open due to a loud sound as soone banged on the door. "Master! It’s ... Yuan! Sothing has happened!" a panicked voice called out.
The old man raised his hand and flicked slightly. The door swung open by air wave. A young man rushed in and imdiately dropped to his knees.
"What happened?" the old man asked in a low, raspy tone, as if unused to speaking.
"Master... the Dragon Lamp... it started glowing all of a sudden!" the young man said breathlessly.
"What?!" The old man’s eyes widened in disbelief as he shot to his feet.
"The Dragon Lamp?! It was lit?" he repeated, as though needing to confirm what he’d just heard.
"Yes, Master," the young man said, his voice trembling slightly.
