Seeing Logan straightening his back once more, the man in front of him moved.
He did not want to give Logan even a single mont to breathe.
Right now, Logan was not soone he feared.
But...
He was soone who could not be ignored.
An existence like this — if left unchecked- could beco a disaster in the future.
And their mission was simple.
To bring him. The sooner, the better.
The man was rushing forward...
But suddenly, his expression changed.
A low hum. An invisible pressure slamd down on him like a mountain crashing from the sky.
His knees bent slightly. The ground beneath his feet cracked.
Gravity magic.
His eyes narrowed in alarm.
Logan’s gaze was cold. He knew he couldn’t win. But that didn’t an he would make it easy for them.
With his recent breakthroughs, his spells were no longer what they used to be. In this world, no mage could stand before him anymore.
But his opponent... Was no mage whose physical abilities were pathetic. He was a cultivator. And not just so random cultivator. A cultivator at the peak of the cultivation realm. Or at least that’s what Logan believed.
Even though the person’s speed had dropped drastically under the crushing gravity, he was still terrifyingly fast.
He blurred, leaving behind an afterimage.
And the next mont, he appeared in front of Logan.
The man threw a punch. This ti, he took the initiative.
Logan’s eyes flashed. He did not et it head-on.
At the last instant, he twisted his body.
The fist grazed past his cheek...
And Logan’s own fist shot upward.
Bam!
It smashed into the man’s chin. The Martial Sovereign was hurled backward.
At the sa ti, Logan’s own body was also flung away by the backlash.
He tumbled across the ground, rolling again and again before barely managing to stop himself.
Both of them slid to a halt.
A heavy silence fell.
The other three did not even blink. In the previous exchange, their companion had been forced two steps back. That alone had been unbelievable.
But now... he had been sent flying. Even if only for a mont.
What kind of monster was this boy?
But they didn’t get ti to think.
Because Logan had already forced himself up. Blood was dripping from his mouth. His breathing was ragged.
But his eyes...
His eyes were still burning.
He charged. Once more, gravity descended.
The air seed to collapse. The man’s movents were pinned down again, slowed to the extre.
At the sa ti...
Fire erupted. Flas wrapped around Logan’s right arm like a blazing torch, roaring violently.
He threw a punch into the air. A flaming fist tore through the space between them. The air scread. Smoke exploded outward.
"Hmph." The man sneered. "Pretty tricks."
He raised his head and curled his fingers into a fist. "So you think you’ve gained the advantage just because you pushed back a little?"
His aura changed. In an instant....
It was as if a dam had burst. His internal energy exploded outward like a tsunami.
The pressure in the area skyrocketed. "Let show you," he said coldly, "what happens when a Martial Sovereign stops holding back."
He stepped forward. And threw a punch.
Boom!!!
The two attacks collided. The flaming fist shattered, exploding into sparks and fragnts of fire.
But the man’s fist...
Did not stop. It tore through the explosion.
And then...
BAM!!!
It landed squarely on Logan’s face. The impact was catastrophic. A shockwave exploded outward.
Logan’s body was sent flying like a broken kite. He slamd into the mountain wall behind him.
The stone shattered. A huge crater ford.
"Blurgh!" Logan spat out a mouthful of blood.
A red ring spread around his mouth. Several bones in his skull had cracked. His nose was crooked. His face was a ss of blood and torn flesh.
He looked like a lump of broken at stuck to the wall.
He tried to move. But not even an inch responded.
Let alone four of them... Even one... Was already his doom.
The man slowly walked toward him. "Told you, didn’t I?" he said coldly. "You should have just co with us."
He reached out.
Logan could only stare. His vision was blurring. His ears were ringing.
So this was it?
The effort to hold on until help arrived... Had failed. The man grabbed him by the collar.
Lifted him up like a broken doll. Then turned and walked back toward his companions.
Behind him... the mountain returned to silence.
anwhile, at that very last mont, Chianxu arrived.
Her grandfather — the family head had personally instructed her to take care of Logan’s daily needs. When Logan didn’t return last night and instead stayed in the library, she decided to co check on him early in the morning.
But what she saw...
Left her completely frozen.
From afar, she only managed to catch a glimpse...
Four Martial Sovereigns. And they were taking Logan away.
Her mind went blank. Her heart nearly stopped.
For a mont, she couldn’t even breathe. She didn’t know what to do.
By the ti those four figures finally disappeared with Logan, she snapped back to her senses.
Panic flooded her entire body. Without wasting another second, she turned around and rushed straight toward the Long Family residence at full speed.
It didn’t take long for her to arrive. The mont Chianxu entered the residence, she started shouting before she even reached Hueng Long’s quarters.
"Master! That boy.... Logan! He’s been taken!"
Inside a room on the second floor, Hueng Long had just woken up when her voice reached him.
Thud!
The doors to his room burst open as he stord out.
"Who dares?!" he roared. His voice shook the corridor like thunder.
Chianxu’s face was as pale as death. "Four... four Martial Sovereigns," she sohow uttered those words in a trembling voice.
The corridor fell into dead silence. Hueng Long’s pupils shrank. For a brief mont...
A terrifying killing intent quietly began to rise.
