Two figures stood across from each other on the cracked stage of battle.

Lilith Starwind and Zephyr Albrecht.

Lilith’s hair was disheveled. And the corner of her lips were stained with blood. Her clothes were torn in places, and the prolonged fight had dimd so of her elegance. Yet none of it mattered—her eyes still blazed with spirit.

Was she exhausted? Yes.

But her strength and mana remained intact.

Across from her stood Zephyr, gripping his greatsword with both hands. There were no open wounds, but bruises marred his body, and signs of internal damage were evident in his heavy breath. His mana reserves had thinned to near nothing, and even the sword in his grip felt like a slab of iron.

Both were silent.

But the crowd was totally different. Shouts and cheers filled the arena—roaring voices, each vouching for their favorite. So chanted for Lilith. Others cried Zephyr’s na.

But not everyone wore joy on their face.

In the noble balconies, Alek Albrecht watched with tightly pressed lips, his gaze tense. This wasn’t just about victory—it was about pride. About legacy.

anwhile, Noah and Emily Starwind watched quietly, their expressions unreadable.

A few, like Prince Rowan and Logan Smith, studied the battle with sharp, calculating eyes, watching not just who fought, but how they fought.

On the field, the silence between the two mages finally broke.

"You’ve fought well," Zephyr said, voice calm and steady. "You’re incredibly talented."

"You didn’t disappoint either," Lilith replied with a smug tilt of her head. "I enjoyed this. But I’m afraid... this is where your struggle ends."

"We’ll see about that," Zephyr said, his voice firm—not arrogant, but confident.

He wasn’t fighting for victory anymore. He was fighting to savor the thrill.

Both charged.

One with a sword glowing with air magic.

The other with a blade of compressed mana.

The ground cracked beneath them. The cheers of the crowd rose even louder.

Their weapons collided—air, water, and lightning erupted like a storm trapped in steel.

Zephyr’s body was near its limit, but the passion burning in his chest gave his attacks weight. His sword danced with desperate intensity, the kind that ca from soone who cherished the mont over the outco.

Lilith was no less fierce. She moved like a predator—fluid, relentless.

In the stands, no one sat still. Nobles and commoners alike leaned forward, swept up in the raw spectacle. Gasps, shouts, and silence all collided under the do of battle.

Zephyr slashed, his sword howling with wind. Lilith flipped mid-air, used his blade as a springboard, and leapt higher. From the peak of her jump, she hurled a bolt of lightning downward.

Zephyr raised his sword in defense. The lightning struck.

His hands trembled. His footing cracked.

He skidded backward, barely catching himself by dragging his sword along the ground.

And then—he charged again.

Lilith landed, barely a second on the ground before launching forward as well.

Boom.

They collided again.

And again.

And again.

Each clash echoed like a thunderclap, rattling the arena walls.

The match the audience thought would be over soon had risen to new heights—dragging everyone into breathless tension.

Zephyr was weakening with each exchange, his body screaming, but he refused to yield.

Though Zephyr was growing weaker with each clash, he still refused to back down.

And Lilith, even with her healing magic, felt the weight of every strike. Her limbs ached. Her balance wavered. Even with four affinities, Zephyr’s unrelenting assault pushed her to the edge.

They were trapped in a deadlock.

Bam. Bam. Clang. Whoosh. Thud.

In the Balcony

Logan watched with awe in his eyes.

Every exchange deepened his understanding. He had once been a war hero—Aiden Ferith, a master of tactics and blade. But this... this was different.

These were mages, not soldiers.

Each spell, each movent, each adjustnt mid-fight lit a fire in his chest.

"I want to try that," he thought. "I want to be in that storm. I want to see what I’ll co up with when pushed like that."

Back on the Stage

The pace slowed.

Zephyr’s newfound surge had burned out. His speed was faltering. His breath was shaky.

The outco was becoming clear.

Lilith’s endurance, spell control, and battle composure were worthy of respect. And most of all, her healing magic—the quiet ace up her sleeve—had tilted the balance of this war.

It was the edge that cost both Zephyr and Morgan their victories.

Zephyr made one final attempt—a desperate, full-strength slash. He roared as he brought his sword down.

Lilith ducked.

A swift blast of wind erupted from her palm, and Zephyr was lifted off his feet—thrown nearly twenty ters before crashing hard onto the stone floor.

Thud.

Lilith stood, panting. Her body trembled slightly from fatigue.

Zephyr tried to rise.

One knee.

A hand on the ground.

But then collapsed again.

The crowd erupted like a tidal wave.

A twelve-year-old had just defeated two elite mages, both older and more experienced. Even those who had expected Lilith to win stared in stunned disbelief.

"That’s what it feels like," soone whispered, "when a dream you joke about suddenly becos real."

In the noble balcony, Noah and Emily were both happy. They had hoped their daughter would learn humility through the tournant, to gain wisdom through hardship. But the joy that filled them was beyond restraint. Seeing their daughter erge victorious, standing tall after defeating two powerful opponents, swelled their hearts with pride—more than they could ever admit aloud.

But on the stage, Lilith’s expression was not one of triumph.

It was quiet. Thoughtful.

Yes—she had won.

But it wasn’t a clean win.

It was her healing magic that had saved her, not her offense.

"If I had a different offensive elental affinity instead of healing magic," she thought, "even with all my affinities, I would’ve lost."

That realization hit hard.

Her pride had taken a blow even in victory.

And amidst the storm of cheers and stunned silence, the referee’s voice rang out:

"Winner—Lilith Starwind!"

And Then...

The magical panels in the air shimred with new text.

Second Semifinal Match:

Logan Smith vs. Prince Rowan Hale

A fresh wave of excitent swept the arena.

And this ti—even Lilith looked up.
