The leader shouted orders to his subordinates, then his sharp gaze swept over the guests on the first floor of the inn as if they were the people he was looking for.
“Sir, could it be that it’s not them? I’ve checked—a regular couple, it’s just that the man had a higher cultivation level,” one of the n, who had led the previous search, reminded his leader with a trembling voice beside him.
He was beginning to suspect that his leader was making a big deal over nothing. After all, they didn’t find anything after a careful search, so how could anyone from this inn be the person they were looking for?
However, the leader clearly didn’t care about his subordinate’s opinion and gave him a cold glance.
“Take people to that room and bring them down for questioning.”
“Uh.”
The Black Clothes man was taken aback.
