Zhan Beiye signified that he had understood—whatever the color, as long as it could save Xiang Qiyan, he had to procure it.
Looking up, he glanced at Su Tang who was directing the guards to slay demonic beasts. Observing the beasts fall swiftly to the ground, he walked over, and the two began to whisper among themselves.

She trembled, pointing towards An Jiuyue’s retreating figure.
“Do you not want your hand anymore?” Zi Mo quickly pulled her hand back and sternly warned her.
They hadn’t previously seen An Jiuyue fight and thought she was just a well-protected woman, who at most, relied on having gained Qian Jiyun’s favor to be highly regarded by others.
But this display of power made it clear; it was nothing like what they had imagined.
“I…”
Gu Qingyu, her face filled with fright, glanced nervously at Zi Mo and dared not utter another word.
Internally, she heaved a sigh of relief, thankful that she hadn’t managed to put her thoughts into action, not having approached Qian Jiyun. Otherwise, her fate would have been more dire than rely scaring off a few demonic beasts.
At this mont, she no longer dared to set her sights on Qian Jiyun, her attention switched to focusing on Zhan Beiye.
Although this prince always heeded what Qian Jiyun said, he was still a prince, after all. If she could secure a connection with him, that would be acceptable.

In reality, An Jiuyue could have easily let Qian Jiyun take action, but she was fed up with the calculating and eager eyes that had been watching her and Qian Jiyun. She couldn’t stand it any longer.
Since they hadn’t directly provoked her first, she might as well kill the chicken to warn the monkey.
So, she executed that lash with the whip to send a ssage to Gu Qingyu—to show her that plotting against her wouldn’t be easy and that she should quickly dismiss any such notions.
