“How could that be?”
Leng Yiyu really felt wronged.
In the beginning, she had been all smiles, eager to welco that bastard; it was that woman whose reaction was too fast.

Later, she finally understood. That woman must have been an alchemist to have discovered the poison.
“An alchemist?”

The alchemist who provided her with the poison had said that not even he could detect where it was applied—how could it have been discovered by another alchemist?

“If you ask , when you let that worthless maid poison him, you should have told . I could have co up with a way to have that bastard poisoned. Now look, we’ve been discovered,” she grumbled, blaming her own mother.
Lady Leng rely glanced coldly at her daughter.
To tell her about the plan would have ant no chance of success. Didn’t she understand her own daughter? If anything, she was only good at ruining plans, not making them successful. She didn’t even expect her to achieve anything significant as the future head of the Eternal Night Sect. In the end, she just wanted a Puppet.
She alone would be enough for the Eternal Night Sect’s future.
“Go back first. You must absolutely not admit to this matter. Just say it was your maid’s doing, and that it had nothing to do with you.” She cautioned her daughter before sending her back.

Leng Yiyu thought her mother would co up with a solution, so she did not say anything else. After snorting coldly at the maid, she turned and left.
As the young mistress left, the maid trembled even more violently.
She knew that in the end, she would have to take the bla for the poisoning. It couldn’t be linked to Lady Leng or the young mistress, not in the slightest.
