“Your Majesty, what… what is that?”
Just as the State Knight was about to relay more of Emperor of Beikun’s words, he suddenly saw a massive demonic beast rushing towards them.
State Scholar Qing’s pupils shrank sharply as he looked in the direction where the knight was gazing.
“Triceratops, get out of the way!”
As he spoke, he pulled the knight beside him and swiftly moved to the left.
The other State Knights also retreated, only to see the triceratops heading in the direction of the imperial study room of the Emperor of Beikun.
“Is that a triceratops? Can’t be right?”
The State Knights, viewing the dashing triceratops with disbelief in their eyes.
In their planes, triceratops existed too, but they were rely low-level demonic beasts, not much of a threat at all – creatures that people like them could knock down with a single punch.
However, the triceratops they just saw was obviously different, both in terms of its nacing presence and cultivation level, it was beyond their match.
Who could possibly raise a triceratops to such a high cultivation level?
After all, even the triceratops from the Plant Plane couldn’t be nurtured to achieve such levels.
“State Scholar Qing, are you sure you didn’t see it wrong? How could that possibly be a triceratops, that…” They wanted to shake their heads, to deny it was a triceratops as the beast had almost toppled them just monts ago.
However, what they saw with their own eyes was indeed a triceratops, an actual triceratops.
“It’s the High Priest Demon Heart, they’ve co!”
The expression on State Scholar Qing’s face was grim as he didn’t expect High Priest Demon Heart to arrive so swiftly, and to infiltrate the imperial palace as if entering a place devoid of people.
“They… Why have they co now?”
Wasn’t the Emperor of Beikun intending to send them to confront the Yiinn Family? But in just a short while, the enemies had already made it inside the palace.
“Quick, chase them, don’t let them escape.”
Only upon reaching outside the imperial study room, and hearing the cries of the guards who were dismounting from the triceratops did State Scholar Qing and the others finally hear the voices of the guards.
They turned around to see guards chasing after them from far away, with crooked hats, disheveled clothing, looking utterly wretched. They genuinely wanted to ask: With just these people, how did they expect to catch the intruders?
It took a while longer before the guards finally caught up to where State Scholar Qing and the others were.
“State Knights, soone is attempting to assassinate His Majesty. We ask the knights to please go and assist.” The Chief of the Imperial Guards, gasping for breath, stood in front of them, bowing with his fist and speaking.
Those people were simply too powerful, with a re wave of their sleeves, they had knocked down a large group of guards; he truly didn’t know what to do.
They were following them, not overpowering them, but instead being treated as a joke.
Moreover, he was aware of his own capabilities; even if they managed to catch up, they would just be going to face their deaths. Fortunately, they encountered the State Knights here and now things would be easier.
“We…”
“Very well, let us go together and have a look.”
The other State Knights were about to refuse, not wanting to get involved in affairs of the Beikun Kingdom any longer, but State Scholar Qing interrupted them.
“State Scholar Qing, but we…”
The State Knights looked at State Scholar Qing, perplexed as to why he had agreed so readily?
The triceratops was not easy to handle; those capable of taming it must be even more formidable. Could it be that by going there, they could really turn the tide?
“No need for more words from you all. It’ll also be good for us to see who exactly our opponent is.” State Scholar Qing certainly didn’t believe they were going to support the Emperor of Beikun just for show.
