Then he turned to get back onto the ox cart.
Little did he know, the coachman hadn’t noticed him jumping off the cart. With his pause, the cart had already left him far behind, and he felt he could hardly catch up.

He beca frantic, shouting after the ox cart. Clearly going in the sa direction, he had wandered off, and the ox cart had traveled far ahead, leaving him in disarray.
“Uncle Niu, wait a minute, I’m still here! Stop, I haven’t gotten back on yet!”
He chased after the ox cart all the way until he reached the village entrance, finally catching up. Naturally, since they were already at the village entrance, he no longer needed to get back on the cart and could simply walk ho.
“Scholar Que, what’s wrong with you? Why are you panting so heavily while sitting on the ox cart?” Uncle Niu stopped the ox cart, spotting An Que standing aside, hands on his hips gasping for air, and asked curiously.
“I… I…”
An Que truly had no words to express his frustrations. He had been chasing the cart, shouting when he was far away, but later, unable to make a sound, he would just chase it silently.
By the ti he caught up with the ox cart, they had already reached the village entrance.
“Scholar Que, your constitution’s not up to par! It’s not even cold, and yet you’re worn out from sitting on an ox cart? You should hurry ho and rest.”
Uncle Niu cast a disdainful glance at An Que before driving the ox cart away.
