"What are you two standing there for? Why aren’t you helping up?" She restrained her fury toward the Paper Persons and vented it toward the young eunuchs.
The two young eunuchs were bewildered by her shout, wondering what this had to do with them. She was thrown because she ignored advice.
"Empress Dowager, the Emperor instructed that we are only to watch over the Retired Emperor, and need not concern ourselves with other matters."
Earlier, they were told not to speak, so they saw no need to step forward, preferring to vigilantly watch over the unconscious Retired Emperor.
Once soone has been sent here by Eunuch Fu, is it possible to leave?
They truly saw no need to ingratiate themselves with the Empress Dowager.
"I reckon the Retired Emperor is about to wake up, we need to be on guard. Empress Dowager, you should get up on your own, or call out; aren’t your palace maids still outside? They will surely co in to help you," said the other young eunuch.

The Empress Dowager was stunned by their attitude.
She is the Empress Dowager, being contradicted by two young eunuchs; to say she was not furious would be untrue.
But now, she was not thinking about anger, but rather her own situation. If not knowing her influence was waning, how could two re young eunuchs speak to her like this?
Could it be because of the Gong brothers’ matter, the Emperor found her ddling, intending to confine her like the Retired Emperor?
