When Sophia Wood found out that the person posting defamatory ssages online was Easton Hols’ younger brother, she imdiately felt conflicted. She had seen the post, and the content indeed made one angry. She was especially annoyed with the person who posted it.
However, when she later discovered it was Theodore Hols, her heart suddenly softened, and she naturally thought of his deceased mother, Ivy Shaw. The more she thought about it, the more she felt sorry for him, and then began to feel the urge to defend him.
"Lily! Mom really doesn’t know how to bring this up with you. That child Benjamin is really pitiful. Could you please consider how Aunt Ivy used to be so kind to you when you were little? Go back and persuade Easton to show so leniency towards Benjamin." Sophia Wood hesitated for a long ti, but in the end, still spoke her mind with a trial attitude.
Lily Turner, however, had a different opinion on the matter. After hearing what Sophia said, she imdiately voiced her thoughts, "Easton is just handling the matter legally; he’s not doing anything to that boy. Besides, why pity that boy? Over the years, the pitiful one has been Easton. His parents neglected him for that boy."
She felt that what her husband did was right; that boy deserved so punishnt, otherwise, he wouldn’t understand how comfortably he had been living all these years.
"Mom! I think Lily makes sense; that boy isn’t really pitiful. The one who should be pitied is Easton." Alice Turner felt that Lily’s words were reasonable. She sat aside and looked at Sophia Wood, who wanted to plead for Theodore, "All these years, Easton has watched his parents care for that boy, while they ignored him, leaving him to his grandfather. How do you think he would feel?"
In the beginning, they just thought about how the boy lost his biological mother at a young age, not realizing he had been enjoying another person’s motherly love all these years, and that person was his half-brother’s biological mother.
Upon hearing this, Lily Turner was surprised, "Sis! How do you know these things?"
She had just pieced everything together, but it seed her sister had known these things for a long ti.
"I, I just heard it from what you just said." Alice Turner felt a bit guilty, and her speech beca sowhat stamred; she didn’t dare to look Lily in the eye.
Lily Turner and Alice Turner weren’t just acquainted for a day or two; they had been sisters for almost twenty years. "That’s unlikely; I feel like you’re hiding sothing from . Who actually told you these things?"
Her sister’s eyes were evasive, not daring to et her gaze, and her speech had beco so hesitant. She was certain her sister was lying.
"I really did just hear it from what you said."
Alice Turner insisted she heard it from Lily, trying to appear calm on the surface, but in her heart, she was already regretting her quick mouth, having let slip what she heard from Thomas Fisher.
Lily Turner didn’t imdiately refute her but scooted over to sit facing Alice Turner. She stared unblinkingly at her sister for quite a while before she slowly spoke: "You must have heard it from Thomas Fisher, right?"
She used a process of elimination to make this guess; it couldn’t have been from Benjamin Shaw, as they were rely married in na and weren’t even friends.
However, Thomas Fisher seed plausible. Thomas seed to be quite familiar with her sister; they even went out for drinks together. Her sister wasn’t soone who would easily drink with just anyone.
