Alice Turner didn’t understand the situation. Hearing Thomas Fisher’s words, she thought perhaps Easton Hols had said sothing to him, but this seed unlikely since her sister hadn’t shared their relationship with her brother.
"Did you tell your sister about us? When?" Thomas wondered if Lily Turner had noticed sothing, but the unexpected thing for him was that Alice had told Lily about them, which truly surprised him.
He was just surprised, without any intention of blaming her.
Now that her sister knows, his brother must know as well. If he’d known they were already aware of their relationship, he wouldn’t have been so worried earlier.
Seeing Thomas so surprised, Alice was a bit puzzled. Despite her puzzlent, she responded truthfully, "I told my sister about us when we were chatting at ho in the afternoon."
There weren’t many secrets between the sisters; if there was sothing that could be shared, they would definitely talk about it.
"Then my brother knows too, your sister must have told him about us." Based on Alice’s words, Thomas drew his final conclusion, speaking with such certainty as if he had verified it himself.
Hearing this, Alice imdiately shook her head in denial: "My sister promised not to tell your brother, and I trust she won’t lie to ."
However, discussing this seems pointless now. Earlier, when they walked hand in hand, his brother saw them. His brother is so sharp, of course, he’d understand what’s happening.
"Whether your sister ntioned it or not, now my brother already knows we’re together." Seeing the woman speaking so confidently, Thomas didn’t question it further. He shared her view; discussing it now is aningless since both his brother and her sister know about them.
Alice wasn’t worried because her sister assured her when she left that she’d make sure her brother-in-law kept it private. She trusted her sister, without any reason or cause; she simply believed in her.
"If they know, then they know. They’ll find out sooner or later, but they won’t gossip about it." She spoke with strong conviction because she trusted her sister completely.
"I’m not worried they’ll spill anything; I’m certain they won’t. That’s clear to ." Thomas paused and continued, "In fact, my brother already noticed I’m interested in you."
The ti they had drinks, when he couldn’t get her door open and called his brother, his brother sensed sothing. But at that ti, he was only focused on finding her and hadn’t paid much attention.
Earlier, his brother saw them holding hands and wasn’t even surprised, as if he’d expected it.
Alice didn’t know about any of this. Hearing Thomas speak, she was a little surprised, not because Easton had noticed early on, but because Thomas had been interested in her for a long ti. "You were interested in long ago? How early? It couldn’t be when we first drank..."
She suddenly stopped speaking. That night at the bar, she had been too bold and uninhibited. In a sober state, she would never have acted like that.
Thinking back now makes her blush, and she’s embarrassed to even ntion it.
