Thomas Fisher was really shocked when he heard Benjamin Shaw say that he was in the apartnt during their phone call last night. He couldn’t help but start worrying, afraid that Benjamin might see him with Alice Turner.
He wasn’t worried about what Benjamin would do to him, but rather what he would do to her, considering they’re still not divorced yet. This situation is really damaging to her reputation.
"No."
Alice Turner didn’t share the unpleasantness between her and Benjamin Shaw, afraid that ntioning it might cause so sort of bad situation between the two brothers, a scenario she did not want to see.
Thomas Fisher stared at Alice Turner for a while, but didn’t notice any signs of distress from her expression. He trusted her words, "No is good."
Without saying more, he gave her a deep look, settled into his seat, started the engine, and drove off.
After driving a short distance, Thomas Fisher suddenly spoke up: "Order takeout now and have it delivered to the riverside."
He planned to have dinner with her tonight, and since he couldn’t go to her place, he’d take her out to eat.
"What? Riverside?!" Alice Turner tilted her head to look at the man driving, instantly understanding his intentions, surprised at how inventive he was.
"Yes! Riverside."
Dining together and enjoying the scenic view by the riverside was so much better than eating at a restaurant.
The thought alone made Thomas Fisher feel happy, and his lips involuntarily curved into a pleasant smile, dispelling the foul mood in his heart.
"You really think of everything."
After tossing a remark to him, Alice Turner took out her phone from her bag and began ordering takeout online.
Seeing his proposal wasn’t rebuffed, Thomas Fisher’s smile beca even more pronounced. Still, he didn’t say anything further. He glanced at her as she ordered, then turned back to focus on driving, not causing any disturbance to her ordering.
"What would you like to eat?"
Alice Turner asked, having already ordered for herself. She simply chose a portion of spicy hotpot.
Upon hearing her question, Thomas Fisher instinctively glanced at her, "I’ll eat whatever you eat."
He didn’t mind what they ate as long as he could be with her, his heart was filled with happiness and joy.
No matter what it was, he’d find it the most delicious in the world.
"I’m having spicy hotpot, will you have that too?" Alice Turner earnestly asked.
"Mm."
Without a second thought, Thomas Fisher nodded in agreent.
Alice Turner felt restless and imdiately turned to face him while he drove, "Will you be okay with that?"
She’s having spicy hotpot for dinner, but how could he, a grown man, be satisfied with that? She thought he wouldn’t be full or enjoy the al.
"I’ll be fine."
The focus for Thomas Fisher wasn’t on the al itself, but being with her, so he’d be fine with whatever they ate.
Seeing his firm attitude, Alice Turner didn’t push her opinion further, "Okay, do you want chili peppers?"
"No."
"Oh!"
After confirming, Alice Turner ordered another portion of spicy hotpot, this ti, she picked a large one.
After ordering spicy hotpot, she switched to a different restaurant to order so other items for Thomas Fisher, deciding this ti without consulting him.
Beep beep!
Just as Alice Turner finished paying, a new ssage suddenly popped up.
