Alice Turner stretched lazily, staring blankly at the white ceiling for a while before she sat up abruptly. She got out of bed, took her pajamas from the suitcase, and went to the bathroom. She took a hot shower before slipping into bed.
Alice wasn’t picky about where she slept. Soon after lying down, she fell into a deep sleep.
However, Thomas Fisher across the hall wasn’t as lucky. Lying in bed, he couldn’t sleep at all. He stared unblinkingly at the ceiling, his mind full of thoughts about Alice Turner, who was staying in the room opposite.
Is she asleep? Is she still busy organizing her docunts?
Thomas withdrew his gaze from the ceiling, slowly turned his head to look at the door, and stared at it absentmindedly. After a long while, he sat up.
Hesitating for a mont, he put on his shoes and left the room. The door across was tightly shut.
He tiptoed over, pressed his ear against the door to listen, but he heard no keyboard clicks, nor any other sound. It was completely silent inside.
Is she asleep?
Thomas absentmindedly gripped the doorknob, ready to turn it, when he suddenly realized what he was doing and quickly withdrew his hand, as if he had been shocked.
Alice! Wish you a good dream!
Taking a long, lingering look at the door, he turned back to his own room.
After returning to his room, Thomas still couldn’t sleep. Lying in bed, he tossed and turned, his mind and heart full of Alice Turner.
Thomas stayed awake all night, thinking about Alice Turner. As dawn broke, he got up, washed his face in the bathroom, and left with his car keys.
Over an hour later, Alice Turner woke from her sleep. Groggy, she looked at the unfamiliar surroundings and suddenly bounced up in bed.
She tilted her head to look around the room. As she cleared her mind, she abruptly rembered she was staying at Thomas Fisher’s place.
She ran her hands through her hair, and the sowhat tidy hair beca a disheveled ss like a bird’s nest.
Alice picked up her phone from the nightstand to check the ti. There was still plenty of ti, so she got out of bed, tidied the ss she had made of the covers, and went to the bathroom.
After washing up and changing clothes, when Alice walked out of the room, Thomas had just returned from outside, carrying freshly bought breakfast. She glanced at what he held and looked up at him, "When did you go out to get this?"
She hadn’t heard a thing. Did he leave while she was still asleep?
"Over an hour ago." Thomas held up his hands full of things, and said to Alice, "Co and eat while it’s hot."
After saying this, he headed to the kitchen with the breakfast he bought.
Seeing this, Alice quickly followed, grabbed utensils from the kitchen, and went to the dining room with Thomas.
"This is yours."
Alice served a bowl of Mixed Porridge and placed it in front of Thomas before serving herself. After she had her porridge, he had already placed the buns and shrimp dumplings from the bag onto a plate.
As he picked up a bun with chopsticks, he suddenly noticed her left hand wrapped in a bandage. He picked up a bun and held it to her mouth, "Open up."
"Thanks!"
Alice didn’t shy away, and after thanking him, she opened her mouth to bite the bun Thomas was feeding her.
