Thomas Fisher didn’t notice Benjamin Shaw, who had been tailing his car, and Alice Turner had no way of knowing this either. Back in the office, she quickly plunged into work mode.
Once she started working, nothing else caught her attention.
Knock, knock, knock!
Hearing soone knock, Alice Turner tore her gaze away from the computer in front of her and turned to look at the office door. "Co in!"
Thinking it was a colleague looking for her, she called out for them to enter and then directed her attention back to the computer.
Squeak!
The door opened, but for quite a while afterward, Alice Turner didn’t hear any greeting from the person entering. She furrowed her brows in confusion and shifted her gaze to see who had walked in.
When she saw who it was, she imdiately straightened up.
"Seeing you so flustered, I guess you’ve done sothing shaful, haven’t you?" Benjamin Shaw walked up to Alice Turner’s desk, looking down at her from above.
Alice took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. Once composed, she stood up. "Benjamin Shaw! If there’s sothing you need to say, let’s talk outside."
As she spoke, she had already walked out from behind her desk.
"Why? Afraid your colleagues will find out about the disgraceful things you’ve done?" Benjamin Shaw showed no intention of leaving. He turned slightly to face Alice Turner, who had just walked out from behind her desk. His face remained expressionless, but his eyes were filled with disdain for her.
Alice wasn’t aware of Benjamin Shaw following Thomas Fisher earlier, and seeing him like this, she assud he was causing a scene about last night’s events.
Thinking he had co to the company because of what happened last night, anger suddenly flared up within her, but in the end, she suppressed it.
Alice took several deep breaths to slightly calm her emotions, "Benjamin Shaw! You, of all people, should consider your reputation as the illustrious young master of Fla City when doing things."
"If you make a scene here, it’s not just embarrassing for , but also for you." She was extrely angry, but she had to restrain herself as much as possible. This was the company; even if he didn’t care about appearances, she did.
n care about their image, and Benjamin Shaw was no exception. Hearing Alice Turner say that, he cald down imdiately, but his mouth still didn’t stop, "If you don’t want to co here and cause trouble, you better behave yourself, or else..."
He didn’t finish the sentence, not because he didn’t want to, but because he felt it would be more intimidating to leave it unstated.
Alice wished she could slap Benjamin Shaw right across the face, but thinking of the consequences if she did, she forced herself to hold back, clenching her fists tightly at her sides.
She squeezed her fists so hard that her knuckles turned white.
"Rember what I said today. I am not threatening you, nor am I joking with you." Benjamin Shaw shot Alice Turner a fierce glare before turning to leave. As he exited, he forcefully slamd the office door behind him.
Bang!
Hearing the door slam, Alice Turner finally snapped out of her shock. Once back to her senses, she furiously shook her fist.
Benjamin Shaw! Go to hell!
Instead of returning to her seat, she grabbed her bag from the table and walked out of her office in large strides.
