Ding dong! Ding dong! Ding dong!
The sudden urgent ring of the doorbell made Sophia Wood and Lily Turner’s hearts jump. The two of them stood up at the sa ti.
"I’ll get the door."
Sophia Wood stopped Lily Turner, striding into the living room to open the door. After opening it and seeing Isla Lane, she wasn’t surprised, "Mother-in-law!"
She habitually called out "mother-in-law," but as soon as the words left her mouth, she suddenly felt it wasn’t quite appropriate.
"Where’s Alice? I called her but she didn’t answer, I went to her office and her colleagues said she took leave. Is she at ho?" Isla Lane hadn’t even walked in yet, but a string of questions already drifted into the house. She was asking as she walked in.
After entering the house, she didn’t wait for an answer, heading directly towards the living room.
At this, Sophia Wood imdiately closed the door and followed her. The mont she caught up, she suddenly thought of Christopher Turner, who had just left angrily, turned back to open the door, and looked into the yard.
She didn’t see him or his car in the yard, thinking he went to the office, she turned back and closed the door, imdiately following them.
When Sophia Wood caught up, Isla Lane had already reached the living room door. She quickened her pace, making three strides in two, and walked over.
"Alice isn’t ho." She knew what Isla Lane was really looking for regarding Alice, so she imdiately followed her into the living room.
"She didn’t co back?" Isla Lane stopped, turning to look at Sophia Wood, who had caught up, with faces full of both confusion and urgency.
Sophia Wood raised her hand, pointing in the direction of the door, telling the truth: "She was just kicked out by her dad."
After saying it, she made a gesture inviting Isla Lane to sit down.
"Kicked out by her dad? Did you two scold her?" Hearing that Alice Turner was kicked out by Christopher Turner, Isla Lane imdiately guessed what had happened earlier, thinking that Sophia Wood and Christopher Turner were just as angry as they were, upset that the two young ones divorced without the consent of the four of them.
Sophia Wood didn’t answer Isla Lane’s question but instead asked her to sit down. "Don’t just stand there, co sit down."
Once she said that, she directly reached out and half-pushed Isla Lane towards the sofa.
"Auntie! You’re here," Lily Turner greeted Isla Lane, who ca over.
Isla Lane nodded in response and went over to sit on the sofa. Sophia Wood sat next to her.
"Mother-in-law! The children are like this now, what do you plan to do?" Outwardly anxious, Isla Lane was even more anxious in her heart. As soon as she sat down, she turned to look at Sophia Wood, eager to hear her opinion. She hoped that Sophia would think the sa, with the intention to persuade the two kids to get back together.
Sophia Wood glanced at Isla Lane, whose thoughts were all written on her face. She understood it all at a glance, "I think it’s better to respect the children’s wishes. Since the two of them can’t live together, we shouldn’t force them together. If they’re unhappy, can we adults be happy watching that?"
At the ti, she was sowhat hesitant about this matter, and now that things have turned out like this, she felt very remorseful in her heart.
Now in this situation, it was entirely caused by the four of them. If it weren’t for their joint efforts in coercion, the two of them would never have gotten married, and such a situation wouldn’t have occurred.
"You agree with their divorce?" Isla Lane was very surprised. She never expected Sophia Wood to think this way.
