The mont Thomas Fisher leaned in, Alice Turner reached out to push him away, stopping his further actions, "Don’t dawdle, hurry and go."
They almost crossed a line just now, she can’t let him get any closer, she’s finding it harder to resist him now.
Thomas Fisher shot a deep glance at Alice Turner, straightened up, and sat back in his seat. Following her suggestion, he started the engine and slowly drove onto the adjacent road.
Seeing this, Alice Turner let out a long sigh of relief. Although she was divorced now, wouldn’t things be moving too fast?
"Take back to my place." Glancing out the window, Alice Turner tilted her head and spoke to the man driving.
"I’ll take you back once your dad calms down." Thomas Fisher gave her a look, turned back, and continued heading towards his apartnt. He wasn’t negotiating; this was his decision.
Hearing the man ntion her dad, Alice Turner couldn’t help but sigh, "It’ll take a long ti for my dad to calm down. You should just take back; if I don’t go back, he’ll get even angrier, he might never calm down in this lifeti."
She knows her dad pretty well. If she doesn’t go back, her dad is bold enough to co directly to her office. To avoid family issues getting out, she’d better go ho and negotiate her freedom with her dad.
"In a couple of days, I’ll go back with you to see our dad." Thomas Fisher directly referred to him as "our dad" this ti, speaking naturally and smoothly, without feeling awkward or uncomfortable.
Alice Turner, with her sharp ears, heard that "our dad" very clearly, and her ears suddenly felt a bit hot, "If I don’t go back tonight, my dad will definitely co to the office tomorrow."
The thought of her dad coming to her office to cause a scene made her feel less than thrilled.
"Then I’ll go back with you to see our dad now." Initially, Thomas Fisher thought Alice Turner was joking, but when he turned his head to look at her, he saw her serious expression, not at all like she was joking. He imdiately sensed the seriousness of the matter.
He made a snap decision to go back ho with her right now to formally et her dad—his future father-in-law.
Alice Turner imdiately shook her head to refuse: "No, let’s wait a few more days."
She just got divorced from that man today, and if she brings him ho now, people might talk if word gets out. Those who don’t know the truth might think he ruined her marriage.
This would affect his image, and she couldn’t let such a situation occur. She needed to prevent avoidable situations now.
"Why? Am I still not allowed to et your dad now? When will you officially introduce to your family?" Thomas Fisher didn’t know what was really going on in Alice Turner’s mind. Seeing her shaking her head and refusing, he felt a bit displeased.
Before, he tolerated having an unsanctioned status, but now that their relationship was confird and she was single again,
neither of them is married now; at this point, they should be able to openly and legitimately visit each other’s families.
Alice Turner noticed the man’s displeasure. She shifted slightly, quickly explaining to him, "I just got divorced today, and my dad is angry with over it. Let’s wait a few days until he’s calr, and then I’ll take you back to introduce you to my parents again."
She would definitely take him back to et her parents, but now wasn’t the right ti. Her mother would be easy to deal with, but her father was another story. Her dad was still hoping for her to remarry that man.
