Her own son’s injury had already filled her with heartache and anger. Now, upon hearing Sophia Wood say this, Isla Lane’s face instantly changed, "Why didn’t he cause trouble at soone else’s place? Why did he have to go to your house?"
At this mont, the fire in her heart suddenly erupted.
"Isla!"
Seeing Sophia Wood’s face turn ugly in an instant, Alexander Shaw hurriedly shouted at Isla Lane, gesturing with his eyes for her to stop speaking recklessly.
Seeing the situation developing in a negative way, Easton Hols, who had been silent for a long ti, suddenly spoke up, "Auntie! Uncle! Mom! Dad! Benjamin needs to rest quietly now. If there’s nothing else, you all should head back first. I’ll stay here to take care of him."
He politely issued an order for them to leave. Staying here any longer would inevitably lead to a quarrel.
He couldn’t just stand by and watch such a thing happen, especially since the person lying in the hospital bed truly needed quiet to rest.
"How can I let you take care of him? You go back. I’ll stay to take care of him." When Easton Hols suddenly spoke, Isla Lane imdiately realized that what she had done just now was very inappropriate. Regardless of who was right or wrong, her injured son was the priority now.
Alexander Shaw was quite embarrassed that it took a younger person to remind them, the elders. He truly felt ashad, realizing that, as the father of the person lying in the hospital bed, he was not as caring as his son’s good friend.
"Easton! You should go with your parents. I’ll stay here with your aunt to take care of Benjamin." It would be better for them, as his parents, to take care of their own son rather than trouble anyone else.
"Let Easton stay. You all should leave."
Lying in bed, Benjamin Shaw spoke up, wanting his good friend Easton Hols to stay with him and his parents along with his forr in-laws to leave.
He was quite irritated right now, and seeing them only made him more agitated.
Isla Lane, worried about her son and wanting to stay to take care of him, was about to speak when Alexander Shaw ca over and pulled her, "Let’s go, let our son recover in peace."
He deliberately emphasized the latter part of the sentence to remind her that their injured son now needed quiet recuperation.
"Son! Your dad and I will go first. We’ll co to see you again tomorrow." Isla Lane complied with her husband and son’s wishes and did not insist on staying.
Benjamin Shaw said nothing, only raising a hand to wave silently at the four elders, signaling them to leave.
Seeing Benjamin Shaw’s impatient deanor, Alexander Shaw and Isla Lane left the room together with Christopher Turner and Sophia Wood.
Noticing the four of them leaving together, Alice Turner was sowhat puzzled, but she didn’t voice her confusion.
"Alice! We’re going ho." Sophia Wood reached out to pull Alice Turner, intending to head toward the elevator.
Seeing this, Isla Lane quickly called out, "Alice! Can we have a chat?"
She looked at Alice Turner unblinkingly, indicating her desire to talk, particularly wanting to have a private conversation.
"Of course."
Alice Turner knew what Isla Lane wanted to discuss; it was nothing more than the matters of divorce and remarriage.
Although they had already talked about it at ho that afternoon, since the other party wanted another conversation, she decided to have a good talk to avoid being approached again regarding this issue in the future.
Alice Turner gave Sophia Wood a reassuring smile, signaling her to leave first with Christopher Turner, "Mom! You and Dad should head back first."
