Alice Turner and Thomas Fisher both tilted their heads in unison, looking at Autumn York, waiting for her to respond to them. The sudden change in situation left her feeling a little caught off guard; for a mont, she really didn’t know how to reply to them.
"Why are you two looking at like that? Do I have flowers on my face?" Autumn York joked with the two of them, pretending to touch her cheek with her hand, she acted completely convincingly.
Seeing this, Alice Turner imdiately understood Autumn York’s true intention; Autumn York only wanted her to work at the company, as for anything else, Autumn York didn’t accept it at all.
She had anticipated this situation beforehand, but she still felt uncomfortable inside. Secretly taking a deep breath, she replaced it with a relaxed smile and cooperated with Autumn York’s act of feigned cluelessness, "It’s because Auntie is too beautiful, it left stunned."
Even though she was pretending to play along with Autumn York’s act, she said it with sincerity; she wasn’t lying, Autumn York was indeed very pretty, enough to leave soone in a daze.
"You really know how to talk, young lady."
The love of beauty is sothing everyone possesses, and Autumn York was no exception; hearing Alice Turner say she was beautiful, her face imdiately radiated a brilliant smile, even happily praising Alice Turner for her words.
Alice Turner returned an equally bright and happy smile to her, "Auntie! It’s not that I’m good at talking, it’s just that Auntie, you’re truly too beautiful."
She wasn’t the kind of person who flattered others; she wouldn’t say nice things just to make people happy.
"Really?" Autumn York asked, touching her cheek.
Alice Turner hadn’t had a chance to speak before Thomas Fisher, sitting beside her, chid in, "Mom! You are very beautiful, you don’t need to keep asking Alice."
After saying that, he leaned over and picked up the two cups of coffee on the coffee table, handing one to Alice Turner and the other to Autumn York, "To you two lovely goddesses, after all that chatting, you must be thirsty by now, have a cup of coffee to soothe your throat."
He placed the two cups of coffee into the hands of the two won.
"Thank you, my handso son." Autumn York took the coffee from Thomas Fisher’s hand and playfully said a line.
To which Thomas Fisher cheekily replied, "No need to thank , my beautiful mom."
As long as his mom was pleased, she could accept Alice.
"Hehe!"
Hearing the funny dialogue between mother and son, Alice Turner couldn’t help but chuckle, she laughed so suddenly that she didn’t hold her cup steady, spilling coffee onto her clothes.
"Where is the bathroom? I need to wash." Looking at the coffee spilled on her clothes, Alice Turner had an embarrassed look.
"I’ll take you to clean up."
Thomas Fisher took the cup from Alice Turner’s hand and placed it on the coffee table, then grabbed her hand, stood up, and walked toward his private lounge, leading her into the bathroom inside.
Alice Turner took off her jacket, turned on the faucet, and began washing the coffee from her clothes. Luckily it had just spilled, so it was easy to wash clean.
"Do you have a hairdryer?" The clothes were so wet, how could she wear them? In the middle of winter, they’d freeze shortly after going outside.
"No."
Thomas Fisher shook his head and as he spoke, he took off his own jacket, walked over to Alice Turner, took away her wet clothes, and stuffed his coat into her arms, "Wear mine."
