Watching the male and female leads in the movie happily together, Alice Turner felt particularly lancholic. Worried that Thomas Fisher next to her might notice sothing, she tilted her head to lean on his shoulder, so he couldn’t see her face.
Unaware, Thomas Fisher thought she was moved by the scenes in the movie. He lifted his arm to hold her who was leaning on his shoulder and tilted his head to kiss her lightly.
Alice felt Thomas’s kiss, but unlike usual, she didn’t shy away from him. She remained motionless, staring at the big screen ahead, without any response to his kiss.
Seeing Alice like this, Thomas thought she was deeply engrossed in the movie. He couldn’t imagine that she was silently sorrowful, sorrowful that they were destined to et but not to be together in this lifeti.
To avoid disturbing her movie-watching, he didn’t make any more small moves, joining her with full attention on the film.
This state continued until the movie ended.
When the movie ended, Alice imdiately put away the sadness on her face and switched back to her usual deanor. After making sure she was back to normal, she slowly sat up straight.
"Let’s go." She stood up first, standing in place, waiting for the man to get up and leave together.
"Let’s go." Thomas packed all the items into a plastic bag before standing up from his seat. He held the plastic bag in one hand and took Alice’s hand in the other, walking hand in hand out of the theater.
After leaving the theater, he didn’t imdiately pull her hand to leave. He stood by the theater entrance and asked her, "Do you want to watch anything else? I’ll watch with you."
Ideally, they could watch all night, so he could stay with her longer.
"No more, let’s go." Alice had no mood to watch another movie. She was here only to experience what it felt like for a couple to watch a movie together. She had felt that already, leaving no regrets.
Thomas was unaware of all this. Hearing Alice say ’no more,’ he felt extrely disappointed, but before he could get over it, she was already pulling him, dragging him outward.
"If you don’t want to, then don’t. Why are you walking so fast? The cinema staff isn’t forcing you to stay and watch." Thomas said while also quickening his pace to catch up with her.
Just as Alice was about to slow down her steps, she suddenly noticed Thomas quickening his pace, making her give up the idea of slowing down, and maintained her previous speed out.
In fact, Alice didn’t want to part from Thomas right now. She really wished to find a secluded place to just be with him, but she couldn’t let him notice anything unusual about her. Despite her unwillingness, she didn’t...
Right when she was preparing to say goodbye to him, she suddenly rembered her belongings were still at his apartnt. Since she had decided to disappear from his world, she wanted to disappear thoroughly. She needed to take her things back.
"You’re not in a hurry to go ho, are you? I might need you to accompany to your apartnt. My things are still there, I need to take them back." Alice spoke quickly, not wanting to be interrupted by Thomas.
"That place is your ho too, you should..."
"Stop joking around, just hurry up and get in the car."
Just halfway through his sentence, Thomas was abruptly interrupted by Alice. After cutting him off, she let go of his hand and was the first to walk towards her car.
