When Easton Hols said this, his face had already darkened. He really didn’t want to face Autumn Gower like this, but the mont he thought about what Grant Heath had done, there was no way his expression could soften.
"You an all of this was sothing our Grant deliberately stirred up? Why would he go and do all this?" The mont Autumn had seen Lily Turner just now, she’d started to feel uneasy, and she’d already had a faint doubt about what was going on between Grant Heath and Athena Linton.
But when she thought about how her son was about to leave the entertainnt industry, that trace of doubt in her heart vanished in an instant. Now, hearing Easton say this, the doubt that had just disappeared rushed back into her heart all at once.
Easton could tell at a glance that Autumn was starting to get confused, but he had no intention of clearing anything up for her. "That’s sothing you need to ask your son when you get back."
He knew exactly what that man surnad Heath was trying to do, but he had neither the duty nor the obligation to explain it to her—especially not in front of their family. That made him even less inclined to say anything more.
Serena Zimrman and Callix Linton, along with Alia Linton, were basically already completely lost. They had no idea what exactly was going on, but once they knew Athena hadn’t actually started dating anyone, the three of them all let out a long sigh of relief—especially Serena.
"Ms. Gower! I think you must be mistaken. Our Athena is still young. Her dad and I absolutely don’t allow her to date at such a young age." Autumn looked at Serena, then raised her head to look at Easton. Seeing that both of them were so certain she’d gotten it wrong, she started to think that she’d probably been fooled by her own son. As for why her son wanted to lie to her, she’d have to go ho and ask to find out.

Right now Autumn wished she could find a crack in the ground and disappear, but she wouldn’t allow herself to show the embarrassnt she felt inside. She forced herself to act calm, said a sentence to Serena, then stood up gracefully.

She wasn’t just being polite; she genuinely could understand. They were all mothers—when it ca to their kids, there was nothing they wouldn’t do.
"I’ll be going, then."
"I’ll walk you out."
"You don’t have to be so polite."
"You’re the one being polite."
Autumn and Serena exchanged a few polite phrases as they walked out of the living room. At the instant Autumn stepped out of the living room, she quietly turned back and glanced at Lily Turner.
Lily was lost in thought and didn’t notice Autumn looking at her just now, but Easton’s sharp eyes caught it; he saw Autumn secretly sneaking a look at her.
"Easton! What is going on, exactly? Does this have anything to do with..."
After Serena and Autumn had walked far enough away, Callix, who hadn’t said a word for a long ti, suddenly spoke up. But he only got halfway through his sentence before stopping. He figured his grandson definitely knew what he had wanted to say next.
Nobody knew Easton better than old Mr. Linton. He really did know what his grandfather wanted to say. He glanced at Lily sitting on the sofa, saw that her head was still lowered as she was lost in thought, and let out a sigh of relief.
