Athena Linton didn’t just talk; she actually made a disdainful gesture at Easton Hols. Seeing this, sitting beside her, William Turner couldn’t take it anymore and slapped down her raised hand, "What are you looking down on? My sister is just joking with you. You’re so naive."
William Turner and Lily Turner are close siblings who grew up together. He knows his sister well, and right from the start, he knew she was joking with Athena Linton.
"How could Goddess Sister be joking with ? My brother’s face looked really unhappy just now." Athena Linton didn’t believe William Turner’s words and looked up at Easton Hols. Easton’s face, which had been gloomy just now, had already cleared up.
She then looked at Lily Turner beside her. Lily, who had looked scared just monts ago, was now all smiles. She was instantly confused, "Goddess Sister! You..."
"What do you an? You’ve been tricked by the two of them." Although William Turner realized Lily was joking, he didn’t understand Easton Hols’s reaction. However, he wasn’t worried, knowing that his brother-in-law loves his sister.
Upon hearing William’s reminder, Athena suddenly realized the truth, her eyes widening, "Brother! Goddess Sister! How could you two trick ? I’m not talking to you anymore, you’re both so, so, so bad."
After saying this, she pouted and unhappily returned to her seat.
"Who tricked you? Even William is younger and could see it, but you didn’t notice it at all. This can only an one thing..." Easton Hols paused midway through his sentence. Seeing Athena straighten up through the rearview mirror, waiting for him to continue, he finally said, "You’re too silly!"
His "you’re too silly" was ant as a playful joke.
Because of being tricked, Athena was sulking. Easton’s words were like adding fuel to the fire. She imdiately sat up, leaned forward, and approached the front seat, "You’re the silly one! You’re the biggest fool in the world."
Although she appeared very angry on the outside, she wasn’t really that upset inside.
"Athena! Don’t be mad anymore. It was my fault earlier. I shouldn’t have joked like that with you. I’m sorry!" Seeing Athena’s furious expression, Lily Turner felt a bit regretful. If she’d known it would upset her, she wouldn’t have jokingly stirred things up.
Athena never intended for Lily to apologize. She sincerely never thought about it.
She was just venting her emotions at her brother; she didn’t have any other thoughts.
"Goddess Sister! Don’t say sorry to . I never ant to bla you. I’m not even mad at you; I’m just mad at my brother." Seeing Goddess Sister sincerely apologizing, Athena felt a bit embarrassed.
Hearing this, Easton Hols knew Athena wasn’t really mad. He tilted his head and glanced at her, "You little rascal! You’re showing favoritism. I’ve been so good to you all along."
To lighten the mood again, he tried to speak with a relaxed tone.
"Little rascal! That’s a good nickna. I’ll call her that from now on too." William Turner seed to catch onto Easton’s intention, leaning in to liven up the atmosphere.
